Mare Nostrum Hotel Thalasso  

Very good location with beautiful view and clean pool, facility is limited and no water heater in the room, make it impossible to get some hot to drink in the night. Breakfast is excellent. Free airport pick up in two ways is appreciated with pre-notice. For short stop over is good.

They did deliver on an early breakfasts. Our flight required us to leave the hotel at 5:30am.

No air conditioning. Faulty but was not repaired during the 4 days. We had to sleep with the sliding door open. Extremely small bathroom Service other than the front desk non existent

It was immaculate in all ways and was a typical European spa 4-star experience. Parking was abundant and free. Local towns were easy to access with their on-beach restaurants The museum of Artemis was interesting and close by.

For someone like us with a car, the hotel location was actually not as near to the airport as it seemed or advertised, because it was located in an area served only by back roads and via little towns. Also it was a hotel obviously catering to all-inclusive tour packages, so restaurant and other services were not short-stay friendly as to cost or availability.

I stayed at Mare Nostrum as it was convenient for a dog show that was taking place at the Expo Centre near the airport. There was ample room to exercise my dog both in the grounds and along the beach front. The staff were all charming and I had a most excellent meal in the buffet that evening. If I attend the show again I most certainly shall be staying at this hotel. The cleanliness of the entrance door was so clean that my dog walked straight into it thinking it was open!!! All the judges from the show were also staying there so that is a recommendation in itself.

We stayed overnight after arriving back in Athens before our onward trip. The shuttle bus from the airport and back the next morning was great. The hotel and it's location was lovely. The room was comfortable and the breakfast included in the price was buffet with a huge selection. We will definately use the hotel again when travelling

We liked being picked up at the airport by a free shuttle, and then being returned to the airport the next day to meet out transportation to our cruise ship. The setting was beautiful, and it would be a good place to go and spend several days or even a week. The rooms were adequate, but not luxurious or even elegant. Very utilitarian. The morning meal that was included with the cost of the room was sumptuous and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a wonderful fish restaurant right next door that was perfect for a nice dinner on the sea.

I have no complaints whatsoever.

Mare Nostrum is a good holiday hotel. Nice rooms, nice pool, directly on the sea side. plenty of activities. Staff is very freindly and helpfull. most of them speak french and english. Rooms are nice and spacious.

Mare Nostrum is a holiday hotel. My room was located close to the elevator and this is probably the most noisy part of the hotel.

Young lady on front counter was fabulous - obliging and flexible. Our flight into Arthens was cancelled and I phoned only hours before our arrival to make some changes and she was friendly, helpful and as I mentyioned flexible withy our arrangements. The shuttle service to and from the hotel is a real bones and withy the taxi strike the day we arrived and left, we were not impacted upon in any way. The setting whilst 20 mins away from the airpoert and the opposite direct to central Athens is superb and easily creates a wonderful atmosphere for a relaxing, enjoyable holiday break. The buffet meal at dinner was excellent value at 22 euro and the included buffet breakfast was more than adequate. I would recommend the hotel to mature couples who are looking for some time away from the hussle and bussle of downtown touristic Athens. We only booked in overnight, however there appeared to be lots happening for famijlies in terms of recreational activities to occupy the kids.

No complaints, but the location whilst very pleasing is a long waqy from major tourist attreactions such as Acropolis etc. Having said this, if you are looking for a comfy stay away from central Athens, particularly if you need to be close to the airport - Mare Nostrum is perfect!

Excellent value, excellent staff and food. Very convenient for Athens airport. Immediate location and area around hotel quite pretty , Further afield the area is not too scenic and does not have a lot to offer and their is a lot of urban sprawl up the coast, However the hotel is excellent with very good facilities and staff and I would stay at this hotel again
