Staff spoke English and were very knowledgeable about the surroundings. Handed out good maps of the downtown and surrounding area. The neighborhood that we had to walk through was quite dumpy and dirty, although it was cleaned up by mornings. In the evenings we saw prostitutes and what we surmised were drug deals going on. |

There is very little I can say I liked during my stay at the Maria Hotel, The desk staff were helpful and the rooms, though extreamly utiliarian were clean. If we had arrived in Athens earlier that day I would have not checked into the hotel, we would have gone somewhere else. The area is terrible, very rough. There were no doble beds in the hotel, The breakfast is appauling, There were no tea / coffee making facilites in the room. The mini bar was empty and the only place you could get a drink was from a vending machine in the lobby. |

Good value for money - room was large and well-equipped for the price. Nothing happened but the neighbourhood feels a bit unsafe. |

Value for money with a good location. The environment is noisy, including the night. Around the hotel there will be a lot of people gathering on the street where you can better avoid if you have children or if you are alone. |

The price was right and it was comfortably located. It was clean and not too noisy. Breakfast wasn't good, the rooms were tiny and the whole impression of the hotel was shabby. |

The hotel was like an oasis. From the outside (and coming up to it from the city) I got a little nervous, but once we walked inside, it was clean and very nice. Free breakfast (enough to get you going in the morning!) and near the metro. Do not go to Athens alone!! While the hotel was great, the neighborhood is not so great. There are many leering men with (obviously) nothing better to do but make tourists nervous that hang around in that area (not the hotel of course, just around it) |

The guy on the desk was very helpful when we were trying to book a day trip. Where it was, a very seedy part of town. |

Friendly staff, clean, reasonable breakfast, 24h reception. A bar would be an improvement. At night the whole area is infested with street low life, dealing and using drigs in full view of all. Can be v threatening. Purely for the surrounding environment I cannot recommend this hotel. if the streets were cleared of this menace then I would have no problem in highly recommending the hotel. |

Combining a luxurious interior, modern design and Greek hospitality, Areos Hotel is a beautiful new boutique establishment, situated next to the popular Areos Park in Athens. |
We are a delightful, centrally located hotel with 50 rooms, 150 meters from Omonia Square, with central heating, bar and breakfast lounge. All rooms have private facilities. |
Residing 300 metres from Omonia Square, this ultramodern hotel is in the heart of Athens next to the most important archaeological sites and cultural attractions. |
