Markezinis Suites  

The service was fantastic! All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful in ensuring that our stay on the island was as enjoyable as possible. The house itself is very charming, our room was large and clean. Breakfast was a la carte with a great selection and was really delicious. Guests have full use of the sister hotel, Petit Palace's facilities where the views over the Caldera couldn't be more perfect, check out their website and you'll see! Overall, it's a beautiful place, with fantastic food and outstanding service. I would highly recommend staying at Markezinis Suites!

There is not much to see or do in Messaria and restaurants are limited. In order to get around the island you are relying on the bus service which may not suit everybody. I would recommend hiring a car, but only if you are a confident driver!

Excellent, personalized customer service. Central location on the island from which to reach every important spot for the price of not having a view of the Caldera, I found this acceptable. Great comfort and attention to detail for a reasonable price.

I'm sceptical of hotel reviews for various reasons but credit where credit is due. There is nothing wrong but everything right about the Markezinis Suites. Right price, right location, fantastic suites and phenomenal service courtesy of George who manages the hotel on his own and your enjoyment is genuinely at the forefront of everything he does. The hotel which prides itself on intimacy doesn't have a bar or pool but it doesn't need one for two very good reasons. Santorini is there to be explored (hire a quad bike to do so!) and its sister property (which is a short walk away) the Petit Palace has the best facilities on the island with 10% off everything you purchase as a Markezinis resident. Whatever you need during your stay George will either recommend or arrange on your behalf at a very good rate. The private catamaran for sunset is a must. I'm lucky to have travelled worldwide but Santorini will be sadly missed and that begins with George's hospitality and the Markezinis Suites. If your visiting Santorini please trust me and stay here. Enjoy!

Very quiet village setting. Superb rooms. Hi quality A La Carte breakfasts. Busses pass through the village of Messaria to almost every location if you don't have a car. Markezenis is literally a mile and half away from the airport. 10 euros by taxi. The manager, George, is very professional and pleasant. Markazenis is brand new, so not many reviews out there. It is an old mansion house used by the Prime Minister of Santorini. It has been converted into five very large luxury suites. Very very nice.

Description says 'use of nearby pool'. The pool (which is a fantastic infinity pool) is at the sister hotel at Petite Palace. Its a 30 minute walk up through the village to the Caldera. A nice walk but a bit of a pain walking there and back in red hot sun you like a dip everyday. There is some mention of a free transfer on their websites but none were offered to us. We did see George (the manager) collecting guests from Petite Palace as he drove past us walking back to Markezenis. Also you do feel a little isolated. The location is very quiet and we mean very quiet. You have your breakfast on a shared balcony area, but with only five suites, you see nobody and speak to nobody. We're certainly don't like screaming children and noisy families but it would be nice to say 'good morning' to a few other guests.

Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated spacious rooms; our room had a four-poster- bed, large bathroom with a jacuzzi, efficient air-conditioning, plenty of closet space, etc. Breakfast is super, you pick your choice from an a la carte menu and it is served in a nice patio or in your room. You share the patio with other rooms on the same side of the hotel, but you have a nice home-like feeling as you can make coffee in your room or take a class of wine and go outside to enjoy it. The patio is sunny from midday till late afternoon but nicely shady in the morning and late in the evening. The pool guests can use has magnificent view over the sea. The hotel manager George makes you feel at home, he can give good tips and assist in making your stay the best ever. As there are only 5 rooms in this hotel, there's lots of privacy, in case you prefer that. Every guest is treated personally, a feeling you won't get in large hotels.

The hotel premises do not include a pool, but you can use the pool at a sister hotel, Petit Palace which is located on the caldera and offers a stunning view (but you need a vehicle to get there). Markezinis Suites is located in the small village of Mesaria, which is close to the airport (even though taxi is expensive, you should take it as the trip is so short), but there's not much to see in the village so you'll need a vehicle to get around. As there currently is no restaurant in this hotel, the mini-bar-fridge could have more room for guests' own drinks and food.

incredible service great front desk management

Excelente servicio y atención, te proporcionan información para hacerte más agradable tu estancia en la isla. Nos facilitaron la llegada a la isla, alquiler del vehículo a un precio muy bueno, y fuerón tan amables de conseguirnos transporte al aeropuerto de madrugada. El hotel es precioso, esta ubicado en una zona muy tranquila a menos de 150m de un monasterio con sus bonitas cúpulas que veiamos desde la terraza donde almorzabamos todas las mañanas los increibles preparados que nos hacía el personal del hotel. Sin duda alguna si volvieramos a Santorini nos alojariamos en Markezinis Suites.

El trato fue muy bueno y difícil de encontrar algún aspecto negativo, por buscar alguna pequeña pega sería no disponer de información en castellano, pero de todos modos hacen todo lo posible por hacerse entender en inglés con mucho cariño.

Simply perfect!!!Iit is a brand new hotel in a quiet place.The suite was huge and beautifully furnished with huge bathroom.The ala carte breakfast was also great and was served in the our room anytime we were waking up by the manager George. We also have the chance to use the beautiful swimming pool of a sister hotel petit palace with a spectacular view in the caldera and the volcano. The hotel manager George was very friendly, helpful and professional. Highly recommended!!

L'accoglienza, la colazione, la struttura e lo staff.

Abbiamo trovato la pulizia della camera un po' approssimativa.

Ces vacances marquant les 18 ans de ma fille devaient être spéciales et le cadre, la gentillesse du personnel et la qualité des prestations offertes ont largement contribué à leur réussite. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'authenticité de la superbe rénovation de la villa Markezini au cœur d'un village traditionnel et le lien possible avec "Petit Palace " situé dans un cadre idyllique nous permettant de profiter de deux aspects importants de Santorin. Et un grand merci à tous pour votre gentillesse.

Le seul bémol que nous indiquerions serait la difficulté à rejoindre "Petit Palace" en pleine chaleur. La solution pourrait être une navette régulière entre les deux hôtels...

O Hotel é bonito e confortavel e o serviço impecavel. George é muito simpatico e atencioso, providenciou tudo para o nosso conforto. Recomendo!!!

Our stay was excelent. The hotel is very beautiful. It's a old mansion converted in a small luxury hotel, with amazing suites. The breakfast is "a la carte", but very complete. The hotel is in Mesaria, a small town in the middle of Santorini, with vey good acess to the entire island. Easy car parking. Highly recomended..

Don't have sea view, but if it had, is price was 10 times more.

En realidad no estuvimos en este hotel ya que nos hicieron upgrade a otro hotel: Volcano view hotel. Que tiene vista a la Caldera y esta mas cerca de Fira.

Nos querian cobrar 20€ por persona para ir y volver al aeropuerto (a 5 minutos del hotel) Por menos de 40€ tienes un coche alquilado por todo el dia por lo que les dijimos que no.
