The shower doesn't have curtains and the bathroom stays all wet after bath. The room is a little dark, there's not enough lights.
Beds were hard as a rock and mattresses need replacing, springs gone. Bathroom renovated but no shower curtain or "lip" for the shower to stop water going everywhere. Looks trendy and modern but completely impractical. And slippery when using conditioner.
everything was exceptional!
The location was excellent, the decor is nice and the night staff were friendly
The room was not cleaned while we were there. not normally a big issue but considering they ask you to not throw paper in the toilet and use the bin instead, it would be nice and more hygenic if they at least emptied that bin. Also the shower is just ridiculous. The bathroom is tiny and everything gets wet and floods under the door into the entrance way. Again, would have been handy to have the room cleaned just so the towels can be replaced. The beds are uncomfortable and lastly, when we had breakfast (which is outside on the terrace, hence you need to fight the pigeons away from your food) the cleaner swept the dirt from the room on the first floor balcony directly into our plates. Obviously an innocent mistake but didn't improve our opinion of the place!
Ideally situated in central Mykonos town with great location for everything. Situated in a little side alley so minimal threat of noise from street.
Had a lowrr ground floor room so no view available. This is not a defect of the hotel but simply reflects what it had available when I booked.
The hotel was well positioned in the city area. Very nice room and very helpful staff.
Wi fi was inconsistent
- breakfast is just ok - shower is not separated from bathroom floor and bathroom is tiny : it's impossible to shower without wetting all the bathroom. Not a problem for solo traveller, but could be if you are sharing a room with a friend
Ideally located on Matogianni street, the main street in Mykonos town, near all the restaurants and stores, a few minutes away (by walk) from little venice (where the bars and clubs are) and the windmills. You can easily rent a scooter of atv to go around the beaches during the day or take the buses that leave from Fabrika (again a fee minutes away from the hotel) The staff at the reception were very nice and helpful and even let us use the showers downstairs when we got back from the beach on our day of departure and didn't have access to our room anymore.
The bathroom was small with the type of shower that floods the whole bathroom (not separated). It's expensive, but it was the cheapest we found in mykonos for our dates and it was a great choice!! Would definitely stay here again!!
- All staff are excellent, welcoming and very friendly including the cleaning ladies :) - Nancy at the reception is great and helpful and so is Tamer, ready to help all the time! - It's location is AMAZING... in the heart of the city and at a walking distance from everything you'll need. And best is that it's very calm and peaceful at night and away from the noise of the street pubs (unlike other hotels)
- No signage for "Do not Disturb" to put on the room door - Wi-fi not always working in the rooms but can be easily accessed at the reception area. - Don't expect a diverse breakfast but it's fine for a quick bite in the morning
location staff clean room value
good service -
perfect location to stay in Mykonos. The room is clean with nice decoration.
The saviour of this hotel is the location.
Rooms are very small and very very basic. Included breakfast was also very simple and the best option was the fresh fruit.
It is an extremely nice hotel located at the heart of Mykonos, still very quiet and pleasant. Highly recommended
I paid Eur 160 for a double with breakfast and found the price a bit expensive.
Old. Bad aircondition. Broken mini bar. Very small room. No view
Perfect location. Excellent staff. They really want you to be comfortable and satisfied. Our friends stayed at Hotel Manto and said they wished they had stayed at Matogianni. If I go back I will stay only there. Don't listen to the bad reviews on the shower. It is perfect.
The best location ever. And the staff is very helpful. The view from the room is gorgeous. Near the bus station and Old Port.
Poor breakfast. And we didnt know we had to take buses to get to the beaches, but thats not a major problem cause the buses work and are great.
Located at the most popular street of old town, the hotel was very clean and the staff was so kind and helpful. Highly recommended.
Everything is thought through and designed with care. Loved the location near many great restaurants and within walking distance from the main bus station. The owner was very helpful and the atmosphere was exceptionally friendly. Certainly recommended.
Can't beat the just of the main drag location, in town. Really cute exterior, modern rooms
slightly hard to find, though they've put plenty of signs near the end of the walkway, it is quite narrow and lost amid the shops of the main street.
The Breakfast is really poor. Quality of products offered is really low. There is really not a good service also from Personal during Breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast as well. I was only there for one night but would not hesitate in staying longer should I ever be in Mykonos again.
Location great.right in the heart of Mykonos.stuff were very helpful and smily.breakfast can be better only.
Friendly people, nice location and nice breakfast!
Location of the hotel was perfect, on the main street of Mykonos Town. You can walk everywhere. Breakfast was really satisfying. Rooms were cleaning everyday. We stayed at a nice, big garden view room. All staff was friendly. Thanks to Nancy for everything. Don't overthink and book a room from Matogianni Hotel :)
Shower cabins (but it is not a big problem)
