We had a really bad experience, as when we arrived at the Mediterranean Royal, which is a five star hotel, they told us our room would be in the twin hotel Mediterranean Beach which is only a four star establishment!
When we complained about that, the receptionnist told us the Mediterranean Beach is in fact far better thant the Royal, because all the facilities, like the restaurant, are there.
But why would we have to pay a five star price for a four star room? We asked for a discount.
Then the receptionist offered us a free dinner and free massages. We should have refused and find another hotel, but we were very tired so we accepted this deal.Unfortunately, the quality of the dinner was really poor, and we never got our massages (see below). And one receptionnist told us we will have to change room again on the last day!
We also asked for an appointment wiht the general manager. Two days later, as we had no news, we asked again, and were told we'll have news very soon. When we left, we asked a third time to see the general manager, and one employee was very rude and told us "we don't have general manager"! He lied because his colleague told us it was not true.
The hotel is located near an airport, and sometimes there are landings or take off in the middle of the night so you can't sleep.
Furthermore there was no wifi in our room, we had to go near the pool to try and connect to Internet, but the connection was really bad, we could'nt download anything.
The breakfast was also a terrible buffet, with no fresh orange juice, only industrial disgusting one, which is astonishing for a so called "five star" service, knowing that anywhere else in Greece we always had fresh juices. The croissants were awful.
