Metropolis Hotel  

Position: good if you want to visit Athens.

Staff: bad, especially the father who is really far far away from the idea of hospitality; he's very much unfriendly. Parking: they write that they have private parking, but indeed they have no parking lot!!! Only their own parking place in the street, but it is really unsafe to leave the car there.We had to look for another parking lot and pay extra money for it Cleanliness: the worst I've ever seen in a hotel - towels were dirty and even torn!! Bed: get ready to wake up with a bad backache... You won't like having backache when you're walking round the city and the Acropolis. I wish I did not pick up this hotel at all.

Nice and helpfull staff. Feel like home. Avalability of parking. Fantastic roof terrace with gorgeous views of acropolis.

Great location, very close to Acropolis and public transport. Good value for money and friendly staff who met all our requests. Comfortable room with balcony and not too noisy.

The location

We had paid for a double room and got two tiny twin beds with no room to move around them. Tiny tiny room. Balcony too small to sit on. Bathroom was two floors down from room. When we checked in, after 24 hours of travelling, the receptionist joked with us that he had given our room to someone else, provoking a few minutes of panic before he told us it was a joke. Not what you need when you're tired.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient location for all the main tourist sights. Clean room with comfortable beds. The breakfast is unremarkable (except for the artificial orange juice, which is unspeakable) but the view of the Acropolis from the terrace where it is served is magnificent and turns it into a pleasure.

It's true the bathrooms are cramped and showing their age, but on the other hand everything works.

Location

The hotel is centrally located between the city transport square, acropolis, and the market place. The interior was nothing special, but if you splurge on an upgraded room the view, from the room and balcony, of the acropolis can't be beat. The staff was friendly and helpful, giving us free maps and directing us to all of our destinations. The breakfast on the roof has an amazing view but the breakfast itself is not worth 5Euro.

WiFi was available, working good from the room and fast enough and included in the price. Some of the "cheaper" hotels don't include WiFi and charge you a lot for WiFI usage.

Location

Internet connection not stable, a bit more expensive than it is.

The location is excellent, both for shopping and amusement.
