In the southern coast of Athens, just 325 ft from Glyfada’s sandy beach, and a short walk from the tram station, the Hotel London has air-conditioned rooms with private balconies and free Wi-Fi...
Score from 519 reviews Good
dirty, smelly, ancient and uncoumftable furnitures
Large clean room close to everything.
Breakfast options are limited
The room was clean, beds and bathroom - ok. Nice beach is nearby. I like when hotels serve breakfast, this does. Own free parking.
Very noisy - we had our windows watching the sea and a busy motor way at the same time. So the night sleep was really bad.
Very nice place, frendly staff, very good location - near the sea and close enough to centre of Athens. Hotel is located near tram and bus stop, so you can easily go to Athens or other direction (wonderful lake Vouliagmeni is located in 15 minutes by bus). We stayed on three days to see Athens and wanted to swim in the sea too. And when we saw this hotel we liked it from the first moment! A lot of flowers, quiet homelike pleasant atmosphere and, of course, wonderful people! So, if we will go in Athens another time we will choose this wonderful place!
Location to Athens, the shoreline, and only an hour drive to Temple of Poseidon - a must see! We had a two-room quad. Each room had its own air conditioner and bathroom, and the beds were very comfortable. If you have both air conditioners running, you will not hear the sounds of the city streets below. Great location for our Greek road trip, and for returning a rental car to the airport. When we needed assistance with communicating with our rental car company, the front desk was happy to assist by making the phone calls and coordinating in Greek on our behalf. Thank You!
The two-room quad was really just two separate single rooms with a portion of the center wall removed, therefore little privacy. The elevator only went up two floors, and we stayed on the 4th floor.
room clean and comfortable. Convenient for 96X bus to Athens airport also tram stop just across road.
Not many places to eat within walking distance. breakfast a bit limited.
The staff was friendly and informed us how to catch the bus to airport!
We were misinformed on line to believe that hotel was easy to get to from airport! Instead it takes 1 hour with a local bus that has many stops. Furthermore, there is no option to catch a train! On line they only show directions from train. Please correct this for visitors!
It misses à bin in the room and no cleaning during thé 3 days of our stay
Very friendly staff. We presume it is a family business and therefore you can sense their care and love for the place. Location is perfect, right opposite to the beach in a very nice suburb of Athens. It is approx. 4 min by tram to Glyfada, another great suburb of Athens where you find excellent restaurants and bars. It is a bit far away from the city center (1 hour by tram or 20 min by car) but we think it worth the long ride. The hotel is nicely decorated and rooms have their own balconies (perfect for drinks at sunset :-) ).
Bathrooms are a bit small and they get all wet because the showers have no curtains.
The room was very dirty, the staff doesn't speak good English. The bed sheets were very dirty and not changed from previous customers, we found hair on bed pillows. There was almost no hot water and the AC was not working well. There is stuffness in the room and no space. Thanks God we had to stay only for one night, would not recommand it for a holiday because it is terrible. Also very noisy as it is on a busy street and we could not sleep. :(
Opposite a big beach club and very close to the airport bus stop
Bed was very uncomfortable plus the sheets were dirty. It is very noisy as you can hear everything in the hallway and stairwell. Also the woman who greeted us was lovely but her English wasn't great. The man is much better. Tip if your using the Internet - if it doesn't work in your room go to the lobby and log in then head on back to your room and it works
the frozen blood all over inside refrigerator, the filthy floors and a totally disgustingly dirty dust bin in the bathroom; the noise that you cannot ignore all night long(because the hotel is NOT soundproof); I would not recommend this hotel even for an one night stay
good connections with public transport, also to the airport
sadly the closer beaches are mostly accessible paying a fee
The wifi was outstanding... The outside of the hotel and downstairs were neat and aesthetically pleasing... The staff was professional and offered complementary bottled water...
The door to our room was flimsy and had a lock equivalent to that of a restroom... When I read other reviews it said the rooms were loud in that you could hear the outside traffic, we could hear the people in the next room using the restroom in great detail... I requested either three twin beds or two full sized beds and they provided two twin beds and a cot that was sunken in the middle... I went to move the small fridge to make more room for our suitcases and there was so much dust it looked like the room had not been cleaned in ages... In addition, I placed some black leggings on an inn-table and I couldn't wear them the next day because of how much dust was on the table... I also found a long black hair in the white bed sheets along with several smaller hairs... The restroom smelled like sewage and there was a cigarette butt in the toilet... Overall not a pleasant stay...
The location was perfect for sightseeing, tram line 5 took me to the downtown of Athens, the stop is 5 minutes walk far from the hotel. We needed to travel only 5 minutes by car to arrive to a quiet beach. The breakfast was simple (there are only two options: toast or egg), but always fresh. The staff were really helpful. Supermarkets and restaurants are close to the hotel.
The hotel is located next to a busy road, which is very loud during the night as well. If someone is not a good sleeper, surely cannot sleep. They should have more focus on cleanliness! There were not big mistakes, but if you are in a small room with big packages, and you try to find alternative places for your baggage - for example under the bed, and when your bag became dirty there, it is so annoying.
Good location to walk around and go to the beach.
the hotel was very cheap and was in a safe area, the bus was right outside the hotel and took about 40 mins to get to the centre costing 1.40 euro each way ,the hotel was very clean
the staff although very nice, were soo unhelpful due to their lack of english and were unable to give us a good indication on where to go and how to get there. if they were more helpful i would recommend it,
location, connectivity of transport
wash room, old and shaby
The staff at Minavra went out of their way to help us with everything we needed, and the room was excellent. Great value for money too
Good location, very clean, nice helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Air-con. I would use again.
The hot water was inconsistent for the first few days but improved . Wifi signal in my room was poor but good in reception. Not enough to put me off going back.
The shower was old.
Nice and wide room, close to seaside.
There were some problems with the reservation, but at booking.com everything was trackable.
It was convenient to the Athens airport. 10-minute walk to restaurant district. It was clean enough. Staff seemed eager to please. Decent breakfast though not really worth the charge. A/C worked fine.
Dingy room with terrible lighting that made it depressing to be in. WiFi only worked in the lobby. No hand towels, no toilet paper holder, rock-hard mattress. Couldn't wait to leave.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. It's a great value for the money.
The traffic noise is really loud; makes it almost impossible to enjoy the balcony despite it's very nice view.
