Conveniently located in the center of Athens, the Athens Oscar hotel is near the Larissis Train Station. It features a restaurant and a roof garden with Acropolis view.
Score from 1001 reviews Good
With a prime location only 165 ft from the Metaxourgeio metro station, Hotel Minoa is within walking distance of the Acropolis and Athens’s archeological sites.
Score from 1194 reviews Good
Hotel Villa Orion is situated in the seaside suburb of Voula in Attica. Guests enjoy easy access to the nearest sandy beach, located less than 110 yards away.
Score from 285 reviews Very good
In the southern coast of Athens, just 325 ft from Glyfada’s sandy beach, and a short walk from the tram station, the Hotel London has air-conditioned rooms with private balconies and free Wi-Fi...
Score from 645 reviews Good
The staff were so friendly and helpful -nothing was too much trouble for them. Seven of my family came over including my 5 young grandsons and we were treated like part of the family. It was a real home from home. Beds comfortable- overslept most days. Handy for tram and beach Excellent value for money Looking forward to staying there again
Some noise from the main road but this is true for every hotel along the Athens coastline
No taverns nearby. Unpleasant smell in the room.
The hotel is located in suburb of Athens. is 20 min. to the down town and peiraias port, 45 min. to the airport. public transportation like bus and trams are nearby (2-3 min. walk) A bedroom with a mini bacony and a small bath room is simply equiped. staffs are kind and helpful. Anyway, you get what you pay for. but it is not bad if just for a short stay.
bath space should be larger to stop water from spraying everywhere. Wifi is not stable.
the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Their english was ok and I had no trouble in communication with them. Although the breakfast officially begins at 8, they were kind enough to prepare me a great one at 7 just because I had to leave the hotel before 8 during my stay.
Although it was clean enough I think the bathroom was quite small. I had to use the dressing table in the room to put all my toiletaries on.
It's super easy to get to from Pireas (Metro/Tram 3, or Bus A1) and the airport bus-stop (X96) is right outside the hotel. There are beaches and of course the town of Glyfada to explore. Really friendly staff, and the perfect room at a very good price. Will do this again!
The hotel is walking distance from the beach. They have one of the most clean beaches I've ever seen. The beds were not so comfy and I got back pain after 4 nights. The hotel is about 45 minutes from Athens. The bus line A2 takes you to the center of Athens. The staff were friendly and able to communicate in English. ( well, they tried) The facility is clean; there is a 24 hour stand across from the hotel and you can buy anything from bus tickets to icecream and ice-coffee.
It would have been nice if the front desk staff were able to provide more info about the city tours. Since the hotel is located far from the Athens we were unaware of the city tours. By the time we found out about a day trip to Delfie is was too late.
The position, very near glyfada, is probably the best and only good thing about this hotel. The price is ok if you are willing to stay in rooms in that condition. Exteriorly the hotel looks pretty nice.
I would say mainly two things, the behavior of the receptionist and the condition of the room. The room, starting from the unstable door handle, was not as clean as claimed in the description. The bathroom was dirty, as well as the toilet and the shower tray (occluded). The sink was unstable too. When we complained with the receptionist he gave us another room in which things were not better. While discussing these issues the receptionist yelled at my girlfriend, which was totally not appropriate. We therefore decided to leave and stay in a near hotel. I still had to pay the room. I would not recommend the hotel to a friend of mine.
The staff were friendly & helpful, the location was great & it was very reasonably priced.
A bit noisy but that was the location not the hotel
Close to beach.
The rooms were very dirty and not well cleaned. The shower gel was used when we checked in. Very noisy location as it is located at a main busy street. Showers are terrible, no pressure in the water and the hot water does not work. Room facilities and quality is very poor.
I enjoyed the position in front of the sea and with a bus (A2) going directly to the center of Athens in less than 30 minutes.
The hotel is not very clean, the breakfast is not included and costs 6€ each
dirty, smelly, ancient and uncoumftable furnitures
Large clean room close to everything.
Breakfast options are limited
The room was clean, beds and bathroom - ok. Nice beach is nearby. I like when hotels serve breakfast, this does. Own free parking.
Very noisy - we had our windows watching the sea and a busy motor way at the same time. So the night sleep was really bad.
Very nice place, frendly staff, very good location - near the sea and close enough to centre of Athens. Hotel is located near tram and bus stop, so you can easily go to Athens or other direction (wonderful lake Vouliagmeni is located in 15 minutes by bus). We stayed on three days to see Athens and wanted to swim in the sea too. And when we saw this hotel we liked it from the first moment! A lot of flowers, quiet homelike pleasant atmosphere and, of course, wonderful people! So, if we will go in Athens another time we will choose this wonderful place!
Location to Athens, the shoreline, and only an hour drive to Temple of Poseidon - a must see! We had a two-room quad. Each room had its own air conditioner and bathroom, and the beds were very comfortable. If you have both air conditioners running, you will not hear the sounds of the city streets below. Great location for our Greek road trip, and for returning a rental car to the airport. When we needed assistance with communicating with our rental car company, the front desk was happy to assist by making the phone calls and coordinating in Greek on our behalf. Thank You!
The two-room quad was really just two separate single rooms with a portion of the center wall removed, therefore little privacy. The elevator only went up two floors, and we stayed on the 4th floor.
room clean and comfortable. Convenient for 96X bus to Athens airport also tram stop just across road.
Not many places to eat within walking distance. breakfast a bit limited.
The staff was friendly and informed us how to catch the bus to airport!
We were misinformed on line to believe that hotel was easy to get to from airport! Instead it takes 1 hour with a local bus that has many stops. Furthermore, there is no option to catch a train! On line they only show directions from train. Please correct this for visitors!
It misses à bin in the room and no cleaning during thé 3 days of our stay
Very friendly staff. We presume it is a family business and therefore you can sense their care and love for the place. Location is perfect, right opposite to the beach in a very nice suburb of Athens. It is approx. 4 min by tram to Glyfada, another great suburb of Athens where you find excellent restaurants and bars. It is a bit far away from the city center (1 hour by tram or 20 min by car) but we think it worth the long ride. The hotel is nicely decorated and rooms have their own balconies (perfect for drinks at sunset :-) ).
Bathrooms are a bit small and they get all wet because the showers have no curtains.
The room was very dirty, the staff doesn't speak good English. The bed sheets were very dirty and not changed from previous customers, we found hair on bed pillows. There was almost no hot water and the AC was not working well. There is stuffness in the room and no space. Thanks God we had to stay only for one night, would not recommand it for a holiday because it is terrible. Also very noisy as it is on a busy street and we could not sleep. :(
Opposite a big beach club and very close to the airport bus stop
Bed was very uncomfortable plus the sheets were dirty. It is very noisy as you can hear everything in the hallway and stairwell. Also the woman who greeted us was lovely but her English wasn't great. The man is much better. Tip if your using the Internet - if it doesn't work in your room go to the lobby and log in then head on back to your room and it works
the frozen blood all over inside refrigerator, the filthy floors and a totally disgustingly dirty dust bin in the bathroom; the noise that you cannot ignore all night long(because the hotel is NOT soundproof); I would not recommend this hotel even for an one night stay
good connections with public transport, also to the airport
sadly the closer beaches are mostly accessible paying a fee
The wifi was outstanding... The outside of the hotel and downstairs were neat and aesthetically pleasing... The staff was professional and offered complementary bottled water...
The door to our room was flimsy and had a lock equivalent to that of a restroom... When I read other reviews it said the rooms were loud in that you could hear the outside traffic, we could hear the people in the next room using the restroom in great detail... I requested either three twin beds or two full sized beds and they provided two twin beds and a cot that was sunken in the middle... I went to move the small fridge to make more room for our suitcases and there was so much dust it looked like the room had not been cleaned in ages... In addition, I placed some black leggings on an inn-table and I couldn't wear them the next day because of how much dust was on the table... I also found a long black hair in the white bed sheets along with several smaller hairs... The restroom smelled like sewage and there was a cigarette butt in the toilet... Overall not a pleasant stay...
