“Every step I met in there was just like a big family! I love them all ;) What a lovely greek hospitality! Some people might say the place is not very good and dangerous, but hey it's not that bad! ( I also stayed near omonia square, little suspicious though, it's interesting just watching!”

The personnel was extremely polite, especially on the reception desk. The location was very convenient, there is a private parking next to the hotel and a metro station. Good value for money. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious.

I'm 23 and I went there with my friend and this hotel had the best price for us and a good location, not even 5 min from the underground and it's not far at all from all the main attractions. The hotel is really pretty and we had a big breakfast (feta, eggs, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, cereals, fruit, orange juice, milk, coffee, tea, well everything that you need), tv, hair dryer, free wifi, a little terrace, a lift and a really nice staff. The man at the reception is really nice and helpfull, he gave us maps and he answered all our questions and he speaks perfect italian, he's great! We didn't want to spend a lot of money eating out and in front of the hotel there is a bar "Samantha" with a nice couple and it's really cheap compered to the prices in the centre. I have to say that was the best hotel that we could choose for price, location, staff and food.

We stayed at the Minoa hotel in Athens for a week in April 2012. We have a daughter of 12 and a son of 3. The hotel room consisted basically of two rooms which were connected together, and a bathroom. By closing our door, we had some privacy and it also helps in not disturbing the children when they are sleeping. Of course this is not a 5-star hotel, but nevertheless we liked our stay. The room is clean, hotel staff very friendly and also the breakfast was good. The breakfast was a buffet. Not a very wide choice, but the choice was more than wide enough to find something for a good breakfast. Bread was very good and there was also a choice of fruits, yoghurt, juices, olives etc. The Wi-Fi also worked fine and was quite fast. When we first walked around to see the neighbourhood around the hotel we walked in the wrong direction.. it is not that far from one of the less good area's of Athens. However, walking in the other direction all is well and within two minutes you arrive at the subway. From the subway station it is only a few stops to the city centre. All in all the hotel offers very good value for money.

Good location, very close to the metro stop which serves the main line to Syntagma and Acropolis. However the hotel was old especially the bath room needs refurbishment. The water for shower was very small and not consistent. During our stay there was once where the water was totally cut off. Do not expect much for breakfast, you can get cheap pastry outside. Staff was very friendly, which add point to the hotel.

It was exactly as advertised and all the better for that. No frills but a clean and comfy room with aircon - mine even had a view if the Acropolis. Staff were immediately welcoming, but nor overly so, and had my reservation to hand even though my arrival was at about 2200. With the balcony doors closed and aircon 'on' I slept very soundly - my bed was clean and firm. Bathroom in the room was not huge but, as a bloke travelling alone, nothing more was needed. Transport to the hotel could not have been simpler as the 51 bus (from Kiffisos) stops just about right out in front and the return journey requires only a few minutes walking to get inside the local one-way system. Therefore no lugging of suitcases/bags around the area which, to be fair, is not the most salubrious. Would I stay there again - yep for sure and plan to do so. In fact when my wife travels out to Greece in a few months then I'll book her in here when she's in transit. If, however, a late evening arrival is expected then will eat en-route as everything in the close hotel vicinity was shut, including the little bar/cafe attached to the hotel. There was nothing that I didn't expect or like from hotel of this type and price.

Location, hotel and staff is great. Only the noice of the traffic at night is sometimes unbearable. What is is it with Greek traffic that it sounds heavier than in other cities??!..... Further on the hotel is super!

The friendly and helpful staff make this hotel. It is nice and close to transport links that provide easy access to the whole of Athens at an affordable price. Internet access was really useful and without additional charges. The beds were a little hard and traffic noise made sleeping in difficult, but otherwise a really pleasant well linked place to stay. Some of the back streets in the area looked a little rough! Could have had more local restaurants.

We had book two double rooms and we have change almost one day before our reservation to one double and one single. The double was very quiet (6th floor) quite big and elegantly decorated. The single one was similar to the double but a bit noisier (1st floor). The reception offered to change it for a more quiet room but there was no need since we are not that sensitive to noise. As before (3rd time visiting the hotel) the reception is very polite, welcoming and helpful. Don't hesitate to ask any probable question on transportation, area etc. The breakfast (feta, eggs, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, cereals, tomato, cucumber, fruit, orange juice, milk, coffee, tea) has all expected but the room is a bit small and very crowded. Try to be there before 9:30 so that you can have a nice place to enjoy your breakfast.

Not far away from the city centre. breakfast is good. we stayed inside this hotel for just one day, and we were not quite satisfied. We asked one quiet room, so the stuff gave us a narrow, wired room without balcony. That room was kind of smelly, and the bed was not comfortable. It was really disappointing room.

Minoa is a short walk from the Acropolis and everything near it. If you still don't want to walk, the Metro station is just around the corner and bus stops are all around. Great Location! Plus, the hotel itself is nice and clean. Good internet connection and cable TV. Showers are a little small and the hot water fluctuates.
