Minoa Athens Hotel  

I'm 23 and I went there with my friend and this hotel had the best price for us and a good location, not even 5 min from the underground and it's not far at all from all the main attractions. The hotel is really pretty and we had a big breakfast (feta, eggs, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, cereals, fruit, orange juice, milk, coffee, tea, well everything that you need), tv, hair dryer, free wifi, a little terrace, a lift and a really nice staff. The man at the reception is really nice and helpfull, he gave us maps and he answered all our questions and he speaks perfect italian, he's great! We didn't want to spend a lot of money eating out and in front of the hotel there is a bar "Samantha" with a nice couple and it's really cheap compered to the prices in the centre. I have to say that was the best hotel that we could choose for price, location, staff and food.

The location it's great 5 minutes walking from the metro station, and the friendly gentleman on the evening shift with grey hair! Extremely nice people and I nothing to complain, just compliments! Breakfast simple but really good, housing keeping, complimentary toilet items and I noticed music playing on the small elevator! What else I may need!?! It was a great, definitely I would come back one day!

I would say it was a normal budget hotel with good communication with city's centre, Acropolis. Hotel located just about 100 m. metro station. Spacious room.

Smoking in a hotel. Narcomans who were doing injections near the hotel. Bad neigbhorhood, it is located near Omonia.

The Location is too dangerous, easy to be stolen right outside the hotel. Some staff are very professional and others fall short, intrudes on the life of the host even went to the room to ask what is happening. The rooms are very noisy because of the wide boulevard in front. You may not receive visitors in the room and the staff of recepsao not connect to your room to say that someone is waiting. I booked the hotel for 6 days and leaves on the second day due to lack of respect and privacy by reception staff and my money was not returned, despite being dissatisfied with the Hotel MINOA, thus losing four daily. If you wantaddress something important need to talk to the manager or owner of the hotel staff are trained to say that it is not present at that hotel and can not do anything for you . For the same price and with higher quality you have several other hotels in the same street, but with the same lack of security due to location.

Turning left out of the hotel takes you into an unsafe Red light Area, where someone tried to steal my wife's gold necklace. We were then told by the hotel staff we should not wear jewelry

Very polite, kind and helpful staff at the reception desk. Location of the hotel is very convenient for walking in the Athens. Hotel is very close to subway station Metaxorgio (only 1 minute). If you like walking, you can go to the center of Athens (20-30 minutes). Hotel has a nice small elevator with relaxing music. Room was a little bit old, but it's very cute. There are no any insects in our room. Every day they put new towels and bed sheets. There are tv, fridge, air condition, shower, hair dryer in the room. All equipments works good. WiFi connection is fast and free of charge in the room. Good breakfast selection. All of it very tasty and fresh. Very good value for money. The place has been done up nicely and very much so lives up to it's promises.

We had a lovely stay at the Minoa, the staff is excellent and ever so friendly and helpful. Very good value for money.(valentina is the best)

It has the internet but it can not use and it's not suitable for the baby stroller cause of the step of the ladder.

This was a great value hotel....very close to the Metro, very nice stafff

but the location as for being a nice neighborhood, I cant say that I felt so comfortable walking around. The lobby was very nice, and the staff were excellent, but i have to stay that my "non-smoking room really smelled of smoke, the toliet leaked, and the room was average. Not the best place ive stayed in for sure!

Extremely small bathrooms. Rooms are not as photos displayed. Rooms smells . Breakfast just ok .even boiled egg were cold.

The hotel staff were very polite and helped us whenever we requested something.
