Location, staff and room amenities
View wasn't the best, but that could be because we asked for a quiet room as such it faced away from the street.
location staff cleanliness
good location, nice personal, quickly finded a important solution!
Room 71 is next to evevator, so it maked some anpyying noises..
Location and friendly staff.
The hotel stinks of cigarettes.
+close to metro station +24h reception +excellent wifi signal +everyday cleaning service +room facilities(flat tv, air condition, towels, hairdryer, shampoo)
-location(area with immigrants) -needs renovation -uncomfortable bed
The staff were very helpful & friendly. We would like to re-book next year!
people smoking in the bar
Well, everything, really. Check in was fine and the room just lovely. Basic but very clean with nice bed, super bathroom and desk for my laptop. Sure, it was a little noisy outside but that's Athens. Breakfast was nice, juice, coffee delicious bread and pastries/cakes. I had to be up early Sunday and for the Marathon runners they put on breakfast at five. Very impressed with the service, the lovely staff and the great location. Was sorry to leave. Oh, and the Wi-Fi was brilliant too !
There was nothing to dislike. Top Marks !
WIFI was fine, I really liked the receptionist from the night shift. He rembered my room number and was very helpful and nice.
Woke up to the smell of smoke every morning, slept on the street side of the hotel which was very noisy, breakfast is very poor: advice, go out to a cafe next door and get a more tasty breakfast + good coffee for less money. Staff is friendly when they want to be, but have a misplaced arrogant air (especially the lady) if you ask them any kind of question.
the receptionist was very nice and helpful; the location of the hotel is also very good, which is very close to the metro station; the room is clean and big enough, and also have a nice view of acropolis on its terrace.
There is a bit elevator noise in the morning and evening times(depend on different rooms, it's probable that only the rooms close to elevator have this problem). If one electric kettle can be provided in the room, it will be perfect.
Clean, safe, reasonable. Lady on reception was very helpful in providing local information and suggestions for dinner.
Room was a little tired.
Shower cabine system need to be changed, there is water everywhere Breakfast, same every single day
Wifi was great; Located close to subway; Cosy cafe on the first floor; Friendly staff; Competative price.
The hotel is old and needs cosmetic repair; Stains on the carpet and overall feeling of dirty surfaces; Not in the safest neighbourhood.
Hotel staff were really helpful. Breakfast arrangement was nice. There is nice comfortable sitting arrangement and mini bar.
Reasonable price for this hotel. Good staff.
Bathroom not at all. It was roughy 3 square meters. No comofort of whower at all. If its your first time in this area of the hotel, you may not feel safe in the night. Hotel furniture is really old and must be renewed.
Close to every things.
I asked not to be street side, but I was. Noisy street.
Friendly staff and clean rooms.
Some of the rooms have been renovated and are large with modern bathrooms. However, some are small with stained carpets and tiny bathrooms. If you are unlucky enough to get one of the latter, I doubt that you will be happy. Also, the rooms on the front of the building are noisy as the hotel fronts on a busy street. Breakfast was basic, and the breakfast room is very cramped. When we returned to Athens the following week, we chose not to stay at the Minoa again.
The hotel is not located at the prime tourism spot, but if you can get used to the metro lines then it's the hotel gives you great value for money. It's only 4 stations from acropolis and takes around 15 minutes. Staffs were pretty helpful.
The breakfast operation is handled by a single staff, so it sometimes gets messy in rush hour.
The furniture is poor and the hotel is too old.
All amenities like hairdryer, tv, wifi, that i needed were in place
The reception area although quite huge, wasnt kept properly. The furniture was old and unkempt. Doesnt give a good feeling when u enter a hotel
Basic hotel close to metro, with friendly enough staff. Beds, room and bathroom all fine and functional.
Having to ask every night for them to turn on aircon - it's included, so don't make me beg... The location is on a busy street in what must be a dodgy area as a number of staff warned about thieves. It is not a quick walk to the Acroplis or other tourist sites (including the wonderful archaeological museum) unless you are a walking fanatic. And walking around and looking for a resaurant it lacked the charm of the area we'd stayed at the week before around Syntagma square. While there's not anything particularly bad about the Minoa, there are much better places to stay in Athens on a similar budget.
Good value for money, near one of central squares, good wi-fi
Noisy as the windows face street
Very polite and caring staff Cleaned rooms and sheets
Extremely small shower tab The breakfast area lack of staff at peak time Breakfast should not be the same everyday
The staff is amazing
