Mistral Hotel is a true gem! The breakfasts are amazing - I would go so far as to say it's the best hotel breakfast ( and especially best home made croissant ) I have ever had. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful and genuine in all their interactions. The standard room was a good size and the location great - it is removed from the port and hence quiet yet only a 5 minute walk away from the port's restaurants et al. The only minor thing I would change would be to have wireless also available in the rooms. It is freely available in the lounge/lobby area and garden, which does make for a relaxing environment.

The Island of Hydra is picture perfect. Is just what a Greek island should be like. No cars just donkeys and lots of walking tracks. Historic old buildings, colourful fishing boats, great places to eat and best of all friendly people. We visited some of the more famous Greek islands during our holiday and nothing came close to being as nice as Hydra. Although the room was supposed to be 3 star it was better than many 4 star rooms we have stayed in although the batroom was a bit on the small side.. Spotlessly clean, Aircon, heater, TV, telephone, frig, safe, hot shower, great bed, comfortable pillows, garden and sea views and super friendly staff. And of course the breakfast was great, with home made fresh bread and jams plus eveything else you could want and it was included in the room rate.

Quiet, out of the way location but not too far from port. Staff were very friendly. Hotel and courtyard attractive. Breakfast service very good. Rooms are on the small side. No desk or tables or in-room coffee service available. Tiny showers and no baths in some rooms. Not great value for the price.

We were given the rooms requested and were totally pleased with the way we were greeted by reception and hotel staff. A wonderful traditional hotel in an excellent location which was perfect for our 3day stay on the island of Hydra. The breakfast was super and diverse and the rooms very comfortable. Would positively return next year.

This is a delightful hotel in a convenient part of the town with many local tavernas and restaurants and an easy walk to the waterfront. It is maintained to a high standard and has a very relaxed atmosphere. The breakfasts in the front courtyard garden are exceptional. All produced and cooked at the hotel by Theo (who runs the hotel with Jenny), they set us up for most of the day. Apart from the high standard s mentioned we cannot praise Jenny too much for how she handled the problems we encountered as a result of the ferry strike. She efficently arranged taxis for our trip from Spetses to Hydra and a couple of days later to Athens airport. We certainly intend to return.

We chose this small boutique hotel because of it's price and location stated on the website. As we approached the hotel, while riding along with our luggage on two of this stunning island's donkeys, its' quaint beauty was overwhelming. From the beautiful garden patio where we were served a delicious gourmet breakfast feast to the comfortably, well- appointed room where we stayed, the Mistral Hotel is truly a gem. We will definitely stay at the Mistral when we return to the exquisite island of Hydra.

The Mistral Hotel on Hydra is reached through cobbled streets only 5 mins from the harbour. It is a boutique hotel making one feel one is visiting friends. Wonderful thoughtful and atmospheric touches. The highlight however is the breakfast. Different every day.So many delights were placed infont of us each morning I resorted to writing each item down so I could recite them to family on our return. The owner/chef cooks his own coissants on a Monday( plus fruit, jelly, cake, cereal, toms olives and feta and a creme caramel! Need I say more!!! Perhaps - we will return

Hotel Minstral is very charming and well appointed. Jenny and Theo work hard to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and they went so far as to put a bottle of champagne in our room to help us celebrate. One of the many little touches that make staying here such a memorable experience. We never seemed to leave the hotel before 13:00 b/c it was so nice to sit on the garden patio with coffee or tea after eating by far the best breakfast we were served during our 3 week travels and unwind. The hotel is very clean and in great condition. It was nice to be tucked a bit back from the main harbor which made for a quiet peaceful experience. Jenny and Theo are a wealth of knowledge on anything you wanted to know about the island. We loved it so much we canceled our trip to Mykonos and stayed in Hydra. Favorite spots are Isalos for light snacks and coffee and Christina Minolis for dinner. The best anniversary we have ever had. Thank you Jenny and Theo!

The room was delightful and had a small balcony with a lovely garden view. A sumptuous breakfast (differing each day) was served in a lovely patio and garden setting. Jenny our host was very accommodating and most helpful.

We felt the cost of the room was excessive. The room was over priced compared to other hotels in the area. Our friends stayed near by and had basically the same room and much friendlier staff and paid 100 euro, where we paid 150.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it was a real pleasure just walking into the front garden, where the breakfast was served (which was real good!!). The location was great, a couple of minutes walk to the port but still in a real quiet area, we never got disturbed by anything. The beds were a bit too firm for us, but that is just a question of taste! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would surely return myself if I return to Hydra :)

This family run hotel has been a geat choice for staying on the Island of Hydra. The establishment is beautiful in local style, the garden maintained with much love for detail, the breakfast prepared by the owner Teo himself always aimed to surprise you with sweet and savory delicacies. Jenny, his wife made sure you never missed anything and was always at hand with practical advise. The staff was very nice, too. Would come back anytime.

Wonderful and extremely clean hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely building, beautifully decorated throughout with attention to detail. Breakfast can only be described as a feast in the lovely garden. We could not get through it all. Would highly recommend Mistral Hotel.

It was a wonderful hotel, and the staff and food was great. For Breakfast they kept bringing out wonderful choices I would call it a full Brunch which was included in the price of the room. Three of us stayed in a room, and the third bed which was sort of a day couch was not comfortable. It was assumed that the child with us would sleep there but an adult did.
