Mistral Hotel was a great place to stay in beautiful island of Hydra. Breakfast was amazing!!
Hotel staff are friendly, location is fine, rooms are clean and the breakfast vey good.
No view from the room, aircon blowing streight at the bed and the bed fairly hard.
The hotel is in a very good location. It has a beautiful patio where they serve a fantastic breakfast (a lot of fresh and home made dishes, better than many luxury accomodations). The owners are very kind.
Our room was not very large and with a view on a narrow court yard.
Most incredible breakfasts EVER! Great atmosphere and comfortable rooms. Would most definitely stay here again.
Everything! But the highlight was the breakfast!!!!!!
The owners: she is a severe, kind and very efficient manager; he is a fantastic breakfast cooker... The water boiler in the room for my early nescafè: I asked to add it as an extra, and it was given freely to me!
Wifi only in common areas
Our 6 night stay at the Mistral was just wonderful. The location is in a quiet street but close to the port and all the attractions that Hydra town offers. We were met at the port as we arrived at the island to pick up our luggage. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was extraordinary: Hand made special dishes every morning in abundance. One cute thing was that since I am pregnant, we had one more piece of everything. Also the hotel owner (who I suppose is the creator of these wonderful breakfasts) went out of his way and changed his program and included his special cheese pie, because we briefly mentioned him about my pastry cravings. What a great gesture! We are truly grateful! We would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there, if we make it to Hydra again.
Great location Nice picturesque hotel Great people
Friendly staff, great location, large rooms, cute breakfast in a lovely garden!!! Hydra is a lovely island perfect for relaxing and enjoying your time.
The property is very beautiful. The room was nice and clean, sunny although there wasn't any view, and comfortable enough. The staff was very polite and friendly. The breakfast was homemade, quite imaginative, tasty and hearty.
The doors (of the room and the bathroom) needed some effort to close. There was no space to put the sea towels and swimming suits to dry.
The owners and staff went out of their way to make all guests welcome and extremely helpful in advice on how to enjoy the island of Hydra. Breakfasts prepared on site were marvelous. The hotel was recommended by a friend who had stayed 1 year previously. It lived up to his rave review. The decor (paintings, antiques and artifacts) were superb, garden courtyard beautiful, well maintained. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
The garden patio is lovely and it creates a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel maintains a quiet and serene atmosphere, making making an ideal contrast to the bustle and noise of the harbor front only a short distance away.
Excellent breakfast! Something I looked forward to each morning...
Great small hotel, good feel and great breakfast. The house dog is a fine little hound.
Nothing to not like!
Fabulous welcome, beautiful room with gorgeous linen and artwork, fantastic breakfast served under the wisteria canopy with great music playing. Fabulous restaurant nearby. Hydra is a gorgeous island.
Not a thing, I rate Mistral 10/10
air conditioning worked well and hotel is in a quiet area. nicely furnished with very pleasant courtyard outside
Bed was hard and 1 pillow per person was thin and also hard. Breakfast was extensive but weird things served for the time of day e.g. vine leaves, creme Brulee, soup???? Windows opened by cleaning staff that allowed mosquitoes in. (We had a room over the garden)
Clean nice rooms, nice location
Inflexible service attitude for a butique hotel
Pretty stone building with interesting breakfasts served on the terrace each morning. A different one each day! Nice people.
This hotel is the ultimate in class and excellence in every way. I can't imagine how it could have been better. I highly recommend it. Clean, friendly, beautiful, excellent breakfast, what else can I say?
NOTHING to NOT like.
Location, good bedroom and bathroom accessories and service, nice courtyard
Didn't get the room we had booked, ended up in attic "studio",low ceilinged, v hot in spite of air-conditioning . We found the owner quite abrupt at times. Wouldn't go back
The Mistral is a lovely small hotel in charming Hydra. The owner serves what must be the greatest breakfast I have ever had---and I have had some great ones at luxury properties. This alone would justify a trip to Hydra.
Hotel Mistral was once of the nicest small hotels we've ever visited. The staff was wonderful, the hotel absolutely charming and the rooms were beautifully appointed. The view from our room was of the mountains - we could even see the sea and hear the bells of goats and sheep in the distance. The complimentary breakfast was a gourmet delight - they serve a different menu each day, and all the food is prepared fresh each day. There were many different servings, and they just kept coming! i highly recommend this hotel and would go back in a minute. It is about a 5 minute easy walk from the port, and an easy walk to all the restaurants and attractions.
The front garden area was a charming place to relax and/or have a repast. The building was quaint and just what you would hope for in a historic island. Do not expect modern luxury.
One might have to ask directions a couple times but it was nice to be away from the bustle of front street.
Fantastic place to stay on Hydra. Our hosts were outstanding and super-attentive. The hotel is spotless, welcoming and extremely well-run. Hydra does not seem to be as heavily promoted as other Greek Islands, but it is absolutely perfect--quiet, incredibly scenic and with lovely little restaurants & shops. We would come back in a second!!
