The hospitality given us by the owners was beyond expectation. They are very service conscious and go out of there way to make your experience most memorable. The decor is charming and comfortable. I have done a lot of traveling and I highly recommend this B&B

All the little extras that we got, the fridge, the extra care from our hostess, Dita, the tea and coffee facilities, the large amount of common lounge and outdoor areas, the decor, the breakfast, everything really. Kalambaka itself. The town lets these people down. Meteora was wonderful, though. I would recommend the place just for Monastiri but not for the town itself, Kastriki is much nicer.

This was my best short trip ever!! I loved Meteora and the Monastiri Hotel was great. My room had spectacular views of the mountain peaks and the monasteries, it was super clean and very spacious. Although I only stayed there for a short nap I found it very comfortable. Is a few steps from the train stop and Dita one of the owners is a very sweet and gracious hosts and arranged a taxi drive for me to go up to the monasteries which was a great idea since I acomplished so much as Pano, the taxi driver suggested a perfect schedule to make the most of my short stay. Upon my return from the monasteries Dita even prepared me a sandwich for lunch since I couldn't stay overnight due to a schedule change with my airline. I am planning to go back to Meteora in a longer trip to experience the incredible beauty and peace of the place and will definitely stay at the Monastiri Guesthouse again.

Dita, mine host,is a gem.Nothing was any trouble, perfect English,& always seemed to be there. Position,100m.from but unaffected by ,the rail station, was better than being in the maze of backstreets, gave very easy parking,&a perfect perspective view of the monasteries. Room decor was stylish, bed very comfortable,& adjoining private patio was perfect. Being a bath lover,I have to say that many people would either not fit into the bath or if so may be unable to extricate themselves once in.

The location is perfect. We arrived by train and the hotel is just behind the train station, easy to find. The owner was very helpful and she cooked us a special cheese pie in the breakfast! We are five and our room has a magnificent view of the mountain. She gave us so much help with planning the visit. Kalambaka is truly beautiful. I love the city and the hotel.

Kalambaka is very beautiful but Monastiri Guesthouse is not a place where to feel good. It's a place just to sleep I love antique furniture but in this guesthouse furniture is just old. in ground floor rooms (1 and 2 I think), if someone open the entrance door, everyone from reception can look in your bed in room 2, bathroom door did not close properly and you can have the surprise when someone open the entrance door, air flow open your bathroom door. If you are inside ... you may end up in a delicate situation breakfast is lean and always the same. This is done just to be done ... Like many things in this guesthouse Owners do not care than to collect rent and that's all. Do not expect anything from them in addition to make you feel better. I was there for Easter and we had to handle it alone where to organize our meals and holidays. Does not scan grill in the yard because does not exist! wi fi is only to be passed.

I can not help recommending this hotel to guys who want to visite meteora. It is the most confortale hotel among those I have ever meet. The host is Dita, a very nice weman. She and her husband will take good care of you, providing useful information certainly inlcuding maps, free drinks, free cakes, delicious breakfast and bright smiles. The hotel is about 100 meters away form the railway station, and the room is confortable with a fridge.

It is near the center but still has a free parking space. The owner was very friendly an polite and after chek-in she gave us some very useful info about the monasteries as well as a map to help us find our way throughout the town and the signtseeing routes. As there were not many guests she gave us an upgrade to a room with a view towards the Meteora hills. The brekfast was on time and abundant. When we headed off she recommended a nice small village to visit on our way to Ioannina. The room was clean and spacious and warm, decorated in traditional style and had a fireplace, which we did not use as it was warm enough. She even gave us a bottle of water for our travel, compliment of the hotel. The neightbouthood is very quiet, though there is a train stattion, and we had a great rest. We strongly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is located in a residential area so is very quiet and relaxing with nice view to the monastery mountains. Anyway city center is very near with bars and restaurants. Staff was one of the nicest we've ever seen, always caring for our needs. Our room had a fireplace though the use of it wasn't include in the price it really worth it, at least during winter. Also breakfast was absolutly great. We highly recommend Monastiri for a visit to Meteora. Bed was a bit hard and bath towels are kind of old, but nothing too unconfortable.
