We were so happy to have found Mourtzaki's hotel! The staff was wonderful, breakfast was delicious and substantial, the pool was beautiful! It was such a great value and we felt so at home here. The location was great! Rent an ATV or scooter and you are so close to everything!!!
We have very little to complain about with this hotel. The bed was quite firm, but nothing that was a deal breaker.
It is a fantastic property to stay for couples or families. It has a very Greek island style outside and inside the rooms. Fantastic swimming pool with the view to the sea! The breakfasts are served in a semi open area, very nice. Great, friendly staff. The property is located just 10 minutes walk from shops and cafes area and the beach as well. In order to get to the old town area, it is necessary to get a bus (around 15 minutes ride).
Nice and peaceful for my family and I. We had a brilliant time and mrs mourtzakis is an amazing host!
Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool and pool area/bar but the bar wasn't open for drinks. Nice gardens and view across the windy side of Ornos beach so we could watch the wind surfers and kite surfers. Within walking distance of Ornos centre and beach with shops, pharmacy, restaurants, bus stop etc.Lovely bathroom and shower. Best priced hotel we could find with a pool on Mykonos - which I think is over-rated and overpriced on the whole but you may disagree! Lovely little church in the garden and a small ampitheatre! Good help yourself breakfast with enough choice for us - and served until 11 am. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!
It would have been good to have the pool open for drinks and snacks - it meant you had to either cater for yourself or go out. Would have liked more clothes storage if we were staying for longer than our 3 nights and would have been good to have had the use of a washing machine and somewhere to dry our clothes/towels - the clothes dryer on the balcony kept falling off. There is a launderette in Ornos though. Wifi was very intermittent (if that is important to you).
It is a great clean place to stay that had a warm staff. Parking is plenty and convenient. There is decent of electrical outlets and air conditioning. The breakfast was satisfactory with hard boiled eggs, sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, coffee, toast, and pastries. If you are a kiteboarder then you will enjoy the walking distance to the kite beach.
Very minor and not a deal breaker - the shower handle was a little damaged.
The owner was a very sweet lady that help us with all our needs, we love the fact that the breakfast was served late from 9am till 11am. We rented a quad and got a taxi to take us to the port on the last day to fo to santorini, all the arrangements were easy and done again by the owner. We had a cancellation of a room for some friends that couldnt make it last minute however the owner help us out with the cancellation fees. Overall our experience was fantastic we definitely will suggest this hotel in the future.
Rooms, Pool, Amazing Breakfast and view, Clean and comfortable, Helpful hosts
A bit of a walk from the bus stop (15 to 20 mins), and the wind is STRONG! Could have had more tourist information
We loved the overall ambiance - quintessentally Greek. Most of the time, we felt as if we were the only guests although the hotel was full. The breakfast was really, really good, with fresh orange juice and all sorts of ripe fruit. The swimming pool area and the pool itself were wonderful. One of our pleasant discoveries was a tiny wild beach 50 meters from the hotel. But the best thing was that Eleni the manager/owner? was always there for you making sure everybody was happy with everything. One time she really helped us out and refused to take any money. Thank you again, Elena! As for the room design we all (the 11 year old kid included) found it lovely although hardly suitable for small children because of the stone furniture and the stairs. All in all, if you want to see Mykonos but hate noise and big crowds, it is a place for you.
Everything was perfect
The place is just great. The Greek architecture of all the rooms made it feel special. The owner and the staff were very helpful! I definitely recommend it!
It took us a while to find the hotel, and I would recommend renting a car/moto, otherwise it's kind of hard to visit other places in the island.
The owner was very sweet and helpful. The rooms were clean with fresh linen daily. We stayed in the mainsonette (for 4) .We enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard/veranda which provided privacy. The location was about a 10 minute walk from town and the bus-stop.
The staff was very friendly The room was comfortable and had an excellent design (three level room) Near to the town of Mykonos (a car is needed) Adequate parking space Nice pool and pool bar
We couldn't adjust the temperature of the water. It was turning from cold to hot and vice versa by itself.
We like mourtzakis for the beautiful view, style of the hotel and swimming area. It is a hotel were you can relax. Also there is a beautiful beach nearby and there is a snorkeling location across the street. The town centre of Ornos is within walking distance.
The friendly owner continuously asked if we liked the hotel and if she could help with anything. When we did ask her to call for a taxi she did so unwillingly. Although she is absolutely the friendliest person we felt like we troubled her.
The personal management and hospitality, the good location both next to the city of Mykonos and to the ring road to visit the island, the very nice place to have the breakfast and the very clean swimming pool and good services
The owner was lovely. I loved her. She was very sweet and accommodation was cozy and clean.
Welcoming owner good design
Lack of cooking facilities Salt water pool
A 10 minute walk to the fabulous Ornos beach. The staff are super friendly The room was very, very cool (the architecture) The bed was comfy Bathroom was beautiful Breakfast was great
