the view, the gym, clean rooms, sea - beach
The views were sensational
Lovely sea view room overlooking Mouse Island. Lovely bottle of the owners own red wine in our room on arrival. Excellent cafe/bar across the road again, with beautiful views out to sea. Very relaxing.
view on mouse island reactivity of the host
very very noisy, there is a main road just down the appartments with lot of traffic (buses, trucks, gazes...) room have none soundroofing, bad quality windows swimming pool, snack and terrace are across this road shared with the hotel the worst room we have in corfou
The view was the greatest advantage in this family run hotel Beautiful decorated breakfast area and choices of colors .A big thanks to all the stuff for all the welcoming atmosphere .
Thanks for everything!
clean friendly global location
to transfer the road every time basic kitchen
Very comfortable, spacious room. Close to bus stops and boats to Mouse Island
The noise from the landing planes and road traffic can be very loud at times but you get used to it :)
Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality We will definitely see you again soon
The view from the balcony ....breathtaking Wonderful people and beautifully decorated rooms Totally recommended
We stayed 7 days and we were enjoying every minute the amazing view from the balcony at mouse island sea and the ingretable landscape the rooms were conforatble and very clean stuff very friendly ... definetely recomended !!!
The location is excellent-just in the center of Corfu, a great base to explore the island. Amazing view towards the sea and the beautiful island in front of our balcony! The apartment is fully renovated, well equiped and had everything we needed. There was an overall impression of a homelike stay. We were even provided a welcoming bottle of wine. Finally, I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Dimitris, the owner; he was such a great host, so helpful and attending all our questions before and during our stay. We had a wonderful time at Mouse Island apartments and we'll definatelly be back!
Nice and friendly staff. Perfect location close to the beach and Corfu Town. If you like to watch planes taking off and landing, this is the right place to stay, but offcause a bit of noise..
Lack of kitchen equipment
Pleasant hotel with nice rooms, great breakfast, swimming pool and wifi - thank you!
A bit noisy as the hotel is located close to the airport - anyhow its a great location for plane spotters
Nice appartment with view on Mouse Island. Perfect location when you hire a car for visiting the island. Nice pool after hot day visiting. Good restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Our neighbour had a barking dog in the night. So we couldn't hear the airplanes...
Very nice view, good hospitality, nice people....i had one very relaxing week and i reccoment pontikonisi hotel to everyone .......enjoy
1. Nicely furnished and equipped studio. 2. Decent view from the 1st floor. 3. Complimentary wine (maybe for better sleep).
1. Very noisy. The building is located about 5 meters from a very busy main road with loud buses, trucks, cars and motorcycles passing by 24/7. In addition, roaring airplanes were flying by just a few hundred meters away - almost at eye level - from early morning hours... Sleeping was difficult and waking up to airplanes noise after unrestful nights was simply not to my liking. By proper noise insulation of the windows this problem could be solved easily. 2. It was impossible to enjoy the balcony due to the traffic noise with the associated air pollution. 3. The breakfast room in the main hotel building was not air-conditioned and it was overheated in the direct morning sun. 4. At the breakfast bar (for additional cost) at 8:40 AM I managed to scrape the last cold pieces (remains) of the served omelette. No new servings were provided after that, so those who came after 8:50 AM would not even know that there had been hot omelette. Well, early birds get the hot omelette... 5. Small parking space with very limited visibility of the approaching (fast) traffic when getting out by car, so leaving the parking lot by car was almost like playing "Russian roulette". (Rolling windows down to hear vehicles approaching has helped a lot.)
For us as a young couple, it was perfect in every way! Everything we needed we had and the view was to die for! Get a room with sea view!!
Overall we are amazed with the hotel, we went there for the nice location 10 minutes from Corfu Town and built right in front of the beach. watching the sunset over Mouse Island was quite a moment! but what will bring us back next year is the people... service was 10/10 we didn't feel as tourist but as friends thanks to the Kliafas family, owners of the hotel. Also impressed with the personal trainer 'Stelios' very well prepared and professional. I don't think you can get more for the money anywhere. We will go back next year!
The owner Dimitris was very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Complimentary good quality wine is always appreciated as well. The view from our balcony over mouse island was one of the best on the island and surprisingly, planes landing and taking off just a few hundred metres away didn't disturb us at all. Would return any time
nice wine! nice view!
The location overlooking the Romantic Mouse Island is perfect. Only a few minutes by bus into Corfu Town but with the village feel by the sea but with excellent Tavernas (one in particular) in the locality. All of the staff and owner Dimitris were very helpful and generous. The apartment was very well appointed, nicely decorated and well designed. We spent a lovely week in a home from home atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Good location, about 15-20 minutes to Kerkira on a bus. Excellent view from the window (see pictures :) ). The Mouse Island apartments hotel is located on the opposite side of the road from the Mouse Island hotel (don't confuse :) ), which has its own beach, swimming pool, snack bar which you can use. The beach is not very good, it's just located on an asphalt surface, so it can be hard to go on it with naked feet and the sea is not crystal clear. Though, it's all OK for that places and the beach is cosy enough. You can enjoy planes going to land just several hundred meters above your head when swimming :) A bus stop is just few minutes of walk (but you should know the schedule, because buses come only about once an hour!) and cost 1.5 euro (if you buy a ticket beforehand) or 2 euros (if you by a ticket from the driver). Also, notice, stops to Benitses are located on the opposite side of the road, there are no any signs of them there, because there's no place for. Just stand on the roadside when the bus should come. You can also walk to the dam to see even more exciting planes landings. And you can walk to Kanoni without any transport using the dam. There are two supermarkets nearby, so you can use your room's kitchen facilities. But be warned, they're not so near as the bus stop, you'll spend some time walking. The northern one is cheaper, but I don't recommend to go there when it's dark (the way is just on the road). Friendly and helpful personnel. Clean rooms.
Planes go for landing just at the level of the room's window, it may be a problem for people who sleep bad (though, for me it was a problem just the first day). Nobody controls lamps and a toilet flush working, so when I came, the only one worked (and had stopped to the day before I left), besides individual lighting, and I had to start water collecting to the flush bank manually (it's not hard :) ). Toilet flushes issue is a common problem on Corfu and the system is really easy to be maintained yourself :) I know, I could go to reception and tell about the problems, but that wasn't critical for me and I also thought the things mentioned should had been checked by personnel before I came. Room service works strange. When I was in the room and placed the DND sign on the door, maids came up to 15.00, ignoring the sign and with a really small delay after knocking. But when I left the room about 11.00 and placed the "Clean my room" sign, they didn't come at all. So, actually, the room was completely cleaned only once for the reason described above. But if you gonna leave your room early in the morning and come back late always, you'll have an every day cleaning service :) Also, they charged my credit card and the receptionist didn't know it, I had to show my Internet banking receipt, so you should talk to the receptionist about the payment method just when you come and check your balance. The room had just one wall outlet to charge electronic devices. I think, having three beds, the room should have had at least three outlets. But all issues described above were not big problems for me and I enjoyed staying.
nice big and clean room
very big noise from the vehicles on the road and from the airplanes. not enogh park places
Good location, nice view, spacious room.
Inadequate lighting in the room (bad distribution of the light bulbs), no mosquito-net (that was awful).
