Babis  

Problemloser Flughafentransfer durch den Besitzer, der sehr kräftig ist und unsere beiden schweren Gepäckstücke gleichzeitig hinaufträgt. Er kommt oft auf der Terrasse vorbei, ob wir was benötigen oder einfach, ob wir einen Eiskaffee wollen. Unser Studio ist im 3. und letzten Stock neben der großen Aussichtsterrasse, wo daneben auch die Besitzer eine Miniwohnung haben. Gigantischer Ausblick. Studio ist ausreichend groß und wird täglich geputzt, so jeden 2. Tag frische Handtücher. Das Bad ist zwar schmal, doch nicht allzu klein, Duschvorhang und funktionierende Brause, reichlich heißes Wasser. Der Wasserkocher in der Küche war so schwarz-verkalkt innen, nicht zu verwenden. Und das kleine Töpfchen mit Wasser brauchte eine Viertelstunde, um das Wasser zu wärmen. Wir haben einige andere Zugangswege zum Quartier entdeckt, um nicht immer sämtliche der enorm hohen und tiefen Stufen zu steigen, wenn man direkt vom Hafen kommt. Die Woche war trotzdem ein workout für bestimmte hintere Muskeln. Es ist ruhig, und die Flugzeuge fliegen auch nicht nachts. Ansonsten ist es spannend, den Anflug im Tiefflug zu beobachten und zu fotografieren. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Wände sind so dünn, da kann man auch gleich auf der Straße schlafen. Obwohl von schlafen kaum die Rede sein kann.

One night stay 23rd Sept 2011 - it was superb !! Spotless room - balcony overlooking harbour, free beers /water /coffe making facilities, pluch towels, free Frappe on roof sun lounge - no need to vacate room until 12 noon. Collected from ferry and transported to airport next morning - ok a few steep steps - but Babis ran up these with a heavy suitcase in each hand and took them to our rooms - the guy obviously 'works out'. Babis and Yiota could not do enough for us - very friendly people - and the price ? 32 Euro's for the night ! I'd booked two double rooms and gave them 80 Euro's but I thought it was well worth it. What is there not to like. Both owners Yodi and Babis instantly made you feel welcome and never failed to add their personal touch. Acommodation was affordable and exceptionally clean and comfortable offering an excellent view of the sea and surrounding island. Ideal location with excellent shops and tavernas. Have already recommended to family and friends. Will be visiting again

Babis and Yiota made us feel extremely welcome and could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. The location and view from the roof terrace is quite spectacular.

Excellent friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Owner provides valuable free transport to and from airport if requested.

Fantastic hospitality, really nice owners, very helpful, kind and nice people. I was a pleasure to meet them. The hotel is very clean, owners care for the guests' comfort. Little details like water in the fridge, tea, coffee and a drink on the roof top terrace are very touching. Great location, beautiful views of the sea and yachts in the port. Although the rooms are a bit small, the use of space is very good - you get everything you need and the hotel is excellent value for money.

Very kind staff and very food position, with fantastic seaview on the harbour. Recommended!!!

Lovely hosts

We decided on Babis because of all the good reviews. We stayed here one night before a sailing trip and decided to re-book on our return. We can clearly add to this, they will go out of your way to ensure that your stay is the "perfect" one, fantastic location over looking the harbour. Internet connection, a roof terrace with a beautiful view. You will be met at the harbour or airport and taken to Babis, an they even took us to a supermarket out of the town to shop as it was cheaper.....and picked us up on our return sail trip.

Absolutely gorgeous views from most rooms, and the roofside terrace available to all guests. The hosts, Babis and Yiota were friendly and welcoming, and a wealth of knowledge about the village and all other sights to see.The neighbourhood is charming with very friendly locals. I would happily stay here again, and recommend to all my friends and family.
