When we arrived at Neos Olympos, the guy told us that we have to go to Delta hotel for "the Neos Olympos has some problems", and they were the same hotel so we didn't need to worry. Actually it was totally a horrible experience to stayed in the Delta hotel. The location of Delta hotel is probably the only good thing comparing to the other parts. There are hundreds of wierd people in that area, the streets look so unsafely, noisy and extremely dirty. But the hotel itself is more horrible, it's the worst hotel we've ever stayed in, bad smelling sheets, smells like someone's feet, there was a half part of dead cockroach in the bathroom, and someone was walking corridor and keeping opening and closing the door for whole night. We didn't fell asleep at all because of the bad sheets, noisy people and the dead cockroach.

Hotel was described as being a few metres from the Train Station, in fact it is a few hundred metres. There is no lift and we had to carry all our luggage (approx 70kg) to our second floor room ourselves up a steep, winding staircase. It was impossible to use the "private" en-suite shower without flooding the whole bathroom and the plumbing was in dire need of upgrading. We were given conflicting information by hotel staff regarding transporting our luggage to the Train Station the following mornng and as such ended up making two trips pulling our luggage along an unsatisfactory sidewalk trying to meet the check-in deadline. We were late with our second load so had to manhandle this luggage on to the train ourselves.

The only good thing about hotel Neos Olympos is its price. Its location also is very convenient because is near the train station. The hotel was very dirty and there was no elevator...The worst thing was that there was no bathroom in the rooms. There was only one bathroom for the whole floor.....In few words tragic hotel!!!!!

Price is one of the best. It looks great outside and on the hallways. Scary neigbourhood with junkies, drog dealers and thiefs. We were advised several times to take care that in the area there are arround 25 people robbed per day. Non-working wiFi in rooms, worst breakfast ever had, no electricity in the morning (manager knew a day before but didn't advised), dirty room, old furniture, noisy (thick windows), no elevator (older people will die till 4th floor carying bags)... Not advised at all!

It was cheap. That's all it had going for it. H A bit rude. Not in the center of the city, and lots of stairs.

Book this hotel if you want convenience, quiet and super value while seeing Athens. Plus it is a beautiful building, lovely rooms, balconies, and great ceilings. I stayed a few weeks prior at Aristotels hotel near Omonia Square then had an overnight here...wish I had been at Neos the whole time. Its right near a nice, uncrowded metro station with a grocery store right there. The family who run the hotel let me use there kitchen facilities any hour to eat food I bought from supermarket- even insisited on cutting up some extra veggies for me. Free computer/ internet use. Nice breakfast and lounge area with tv and couches. Sharing the bathroom facilities right outside your room is no hassle at all and worth the huge savings.

The hotel was close to the train station, was clean, provided breakfast and internet access on the computers downstairs. The wireless internet wasn't working the whole time I was there. I asked more than one staff member about it and they said there was nothing they could do. I would propose they eliminate wireless internet if they can't get it to work. Also the hotel's computers were available only until 1 am.

Close to the metro (approx. 200 m) 1. Surroundings (located in the district where busses leave for Albania, Romania and other banana countries - respectively unsafe and noisy) 2. Facilities (no water in the toilet, everything very old). 3. Air conditioning (a must in Greece in summer) installed, but no remote control to turn it on:) No remote control for the tv as well.

there is no elevator,so we have to pull luggage to 4th floor in 1st night! it's very non-humanity. the more than worse we live 3 nights here totally, that's we live the worst memory in accommodation experience. when we second check-in, we live 3rd floor, toilet flushing didn't good work,Only hot water in washbasin,no cool water! and it's very noisy when you sleep, because it's close the big street. we never come here again! it's too bad memory in our travel!

The staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was decorated nicely and had two small balconies. The hotel is in an older building and it was fun to see architectural details that one wouldn't see in a more modern hotel. The continental breakfast was self-service, and included more items than the standard European breakfast of bread, butter and jam, so that was a treat. It was a bit noisy due to traffic outside, and the bathroom shower design could have been better...it was impossible for water not to get all over the floor. There appeared to be some old gum on the tile floor near the foot of the bed, and one of the tiles was cracked.

I like the breakfast here, the building is old but very beautiful. It's only 5 mins walk from the hotel to the metro. But if you want to go to the port to take boat, you need to leave at least 1 and half hour ahead of the departuring time. You have to transfer if you go there from the airport, it took us time to find there. There's no hot water in my room, the bed is not very comfortable, a little bit hard.

This hotel was only 200 meters in a straight line from a metro stop, which was great! The staff were lovely, the breakfast was sparse but just fine, there are three computers with internet to use, and the sheets were clean. No bedbugs either. The neighborhood is a bit shady so if you are the nervous type then this is not the place for you, though walking from the metro to the hotel is pretty well lit on a main road so it would be quite difficult to get into any trouble! Though the sheets were clean, the top blankets were clearly rarely laundered and had spots on them from god knows what, that was all the blankets not just one bed (three beds in my room). It was clear that the cleaning staff made sort of minimal effort, but since my sheets and towels were clean, this didn't bother me too much for the price. One thing that was very irritating was the shower, if you can call it that... a porcelain square an inch away from two walls and 2 feet from another, and a curtain that only covered the main open side, leaving lots of opportunity for water to end up all over the floor, which of course it did. It was a huge mess.

The price- it was pretty cheap. The location is awful. As a woman, I did not feel comfortable in the neighborhood at all- sometimes even during the day. I would not recommend this hotel at all for women travelers. Our room was also very noisy from the street.
