Centrally in Athens, the Apollo Hotel is 300 ft from Metaxourgio Metro Station and one mile from the Acropolis. It features a rooftop snack bar overlooking the Parthenon and rooms with free Wi-Fi.

Good position, about only 1 km away from the most important sights of Athens, in a safe area. Even if the hotel doesn't have parking, there were plenty of free parking places right near the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Hotel Neos Olympos to those who travel to Athens for sightseeing.
Wi-fi didn't worked in the room, which was situated at the second floor. It worked only in the breakfast area and loby.
very cheap hotel with a good breakfast and a nice room
close to the train station, so you have the noise from the trains.
Affordable, able to check in late as our ferry came in very late. Average free brekky. Train Station only a block or 2 away
One of the 2 shared bathrooms weren't too clean. And one 1 shower for the floor. But didn't have to wait.. about a 15-20 walk to the city cetre but train station only a block ir 2 away..
Good location, close to the subway station Larissa, good wifi connection. Staff was very nice and friendly.
Breakfast starts at 8, so I couldn't catch it.
The location was great. It was close to Victoria and Larissa metro stations which are good for exploring the city. Also one big market was close to the hotel. The breakfast was nice. Nothing special was offered, but you don't need anything that special for breakfast :) Rooms were clean enough. Also hotel employees were nice and helpful. It's a nice hotel for limited budged travelers. And it also good for exploring the city since everything is pretty much close.
The surrounding area was a bit shady. But it shouldn't be that much of a problem since you won't spend that much time in that area :)
Good location in relation to the center. Staff very kind. Definitely good value for money!!!
Toilet cleaning quite pure. Very noisy during the night.
It was a good location and the staff were every help full looked after our bags. It was very good for the price we paid
Shower was average but got what we paid for. No fridge

It was very cheap with breakfast included. Although bad points very much outweighed the cost.
The air condition was no more than a small draft. The bathroom was very badly kept and all round the shower tray was mouldy. This is due to the shower curtain completely missing the tray therefore soaking the whole room. If you are on the front of the building it is very noisy as you have to keep the doors open for a breeze and it is right on the train line and main road. Receptionist was not the most helpful when needed in a stressful situation (lost mobile - left at hostel) location is also a little bit out of the way in a not so great area if you are on foot. By taxi it is fine to main tourist section.
Location was good. Close to a metro station and very close to the train station. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good.
This was the dirtiest place I've stayed. They should hire another cleaning lady I am sorry to say.
Lovely Greek architecture inside building. Cosy feel. Rooms spacious. Excellent value for money. Breakfast had the essentials and staff were friendly and helpful.
Had to share a bathroom with the rest of the floor. However this was never occupied when we needed it.
I didn't exactly know what to expect when I first got there because of the mixed reviews, but everything turned out to be all right. The staff were lovely people, very helpful and nice, the room was clean, the AC and the WiFi worked perfectly and the breakfast was basic but fine. The hotel is a few minutes away from both Metaxourgeio and Larissis Metro stations, so you can get anywhere fast if you're not fond of walking. I've went to the center mostly on foot and had no trouble whatsoever.
I may be biased about this (solo female traveller, early twenties), but I would advise you to stick to the main streets. There's no real danger in the area (maybe given the fact that there's a police station a couple of blocks away), but I've had a feeling of uneasiness walking the side streets, so I refrained from wondering around too much. :)
It's nearby the metro station... so it's easy to go to the center and to vivit athens.
The common bath, I didn't understand that we haven't a private bathroom but a bathroom in common... it was like an hostel.
The staff were super helpful giving us maps and advice and helped us when my friends luggage was lost and arranged to have it held at the hotel for us while we were in the islands. Good breakfast, and good wifi in the lobby. Overall great value for money
The centre of Athens was a bit further than expected but the trains are super regular and really cheap (1.40euro) so it wasn't an issue
Clean, well located close to the main train station, air-conditioning, breakfast included, really comfortable place to stay
WiFi Internet available on all floors Very decent cable TV
Wiring needs to be fixed up a bit Bathroom needs some work
It was evrithing okey!
Breakfast was good. Staff was polite. (Especially thw woman who prepared breakfast.) Location was okay. Otel is really close to train station and metro station, if you want to walk city center it takes 20 minutes by walking.
Bathrooms and toilets were dirty.
The only reason anyone would want to stay there is the location.
The floor was so dirty!! The air-con was also extremely weak. We booked a basic double ensuite. The toilet was okay but the windows could not be locked and the shower did not have curtains. Thankfully, we were there just to sleep for the night: we arrived at 11pm and had to check out at 845am. The breakfast was also just lame, cheap stuff. Worse, some of the food tastes weird, probably full of unhealthy colourings, additives and fillers. Yuck. Oh, and the receptionist that received us was rude and impatient who repeated his "orders" to us, seemingly trying to shoo us away.
The hotel is pretty close to the metro station and well connected to the city center. The reception, the staircase and corridors look renovated and in good shape. The room was small but more than enough for a single person, including air conditioning and a small washbasin in the room. The staff at the reception was friendly and helpful although the one that attended me on my arrival could not speak much English. He was able to speak Spanish, though. Wi-Fi worked well even in the room.
I had booked a room with private bathroom, but when I arrived I was told that they had run out of this kind of rooms and they could only offer me a room with a shared bathroom (with 5 € discount) or I shall look for another place. I took the offer since I did not care so much for one night, but I had read about this practice before, so I guess it's their common practice. The furniture in the room is quite old, but still fine: wardrobe, washbasin, a desk with a chair and a flat-screen TV. The bathroom looked very old and deserves a deep renovation. The building has no lift.
24 hour reception, close to metro station, satisfactory breakfast
The hotel is not far from Omonio, which is a dangerous place.
This is the best value for money hotel I've been at. Rooms are (very) cheap and clean enough. AC in the room is working which is great for Athens in summer. Staff has been helpful and kind. Location is 30mins from the center and acropolis and 5mins to both metro and train station. Breakfast was basic but good.
I reckon the common showers could be cleaner. I'm used to hostels and they look the same. Toilets are fine though but showers clogged and not too clean. People having a room bear the street should bring earplugs too.
Breakfast. WiFi only strong at public areas. Luggage storage in a safe area and locked next to receptionist. 10-minutes walk to Metro Station.
Tiny rooms, 10m2 size maximum. two luggage can fit into the room after some adjustment. Clogged toilets. Ancient 10" television. No elevator, carry your luggage yourself up to Level 5. Rude n angsty receptionist (at night). Sleeping receptionist.
The bed was comfortable, the air-con was effective (and essential in the 30+ temperatures), wifi worked, front of house staff were friendly, close to a metro station.
I got a couple of insect bites sleeping in the room, the free breakfast was pretty tasteless.
Rooms are good, breakfast and air con at no extra cost. Friendly/helpful staff. Location not bad - I have read some reviewers saying they've felt slightly uncomfortable walking around the area at night, but I didn't feel that at all. It's not a touristy area, and I liked that.
As others have said before, the wi-fi isn't great on the higher floors, but you can always sit downstairs to do your e-mails. Breakfast a bit basic - but as I was paying €22 a night for my stay (I'd happily pay double for this standard of accommodation) I can't really complain.
