Centrally located in Syntagma Square in Athens, the Amalia Hotel is right across from the National Gardens. It features comfortable rooms with satellite and pay-per-view TV, and Wi-Fi internet access....

Just a 5 minute walk from the Acropolis, the 4-star Ava Hotel and Suites is centrally in Plaka. It offers spacious, self-catered accommodations with a private balcony or patio.

In a junior suite it is not nice to have inflated wooden floor
prix de petit déjeuner
Helpfull and very kind staff. Design of rooms, balcony.
Excellent breakfast! Huge room with nice balcony!
Roof-top restaurant is poor quality and very expensive! Better dining in the Plaka nearby! Corridors and most public areas are brown dark, not really a gay ambiance.
Staff and design.
Wi-fi not reliable in room. Weak signal.
Friendly and helpful Staff, great location, very good breakfast
Interesting, but not comfortable light, too dark to see anything in the mirrow, maybe a magnified mirrow with an additional light could be helpful
Central location Professional courteous service Modern amenities Excellent breakfast and service
Lack of privacy in bathroom Poor design of bathroom - not practical Lack of an accessible, usable public lounge area. Existing space is inadequate for purpose.
Hotel and staff excellent. Location ideal.
Pressure of shower
The staff were VERY helpful. The hotel was a bit expensive but it was worth it to us as we were two sisters traveling alone some of the time. We felt very safe there. The location was perfect for us since we were walking extensively in downtown Athens. We stayed a total of 5 nights. The hotel is an older building which has been totally remodeled with an interesting modern design, with different wall art in each room. The bathroom is a bit different, with the glass door to the bathroom doubling as the door to the shower. There is a bar on the roof that was fun to have a drink at. We totally enjoyed our stay.
The breakfast was expensive but had a wide selection of breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit, yogurt. We finally figured out to split an omelet and order a side of fresh fruit or eat somewhere away from the hotel. My sister complained that the lighting above the mirror was too dim for her when she put on her makeup. But this was a minor problem.
Design, location, comfort, service
Fabulous hotel…clean, very comfortable beds and great location.
The reception is fantastic and helpful The design is unique and cool. I really recommend
lovely staff, perfect beds, beautiful rooms with a view. The a la carte breakfast was good quality and value for money. There was no noise coming from outside, although the hotel is just off a busy road.
The room perfume used in the hallways is a bit overpowering and even makes its way into the room. But this is just a very small point in an overall excellent stay!
- the location, walking distance to a lot of places
- poor wi-fi
Service was outstanding. Decor was unique and well done. Food was excellent. Location was excellent. Gym was better than most hotel fitness centers.
Poor wifi connection.
Hotel Location is convenient, it's 15 mins by foot to Acropolis, metro station is nearby. Hotel room is good, considering general quality of hotels at Athens isn't great by international standards. Staff are friendly, helpful and polite
Wifi in the room was somewhat poor. The service team came to fix it, but was still sub-par after. to be fair they did try.
What a wonderful find in Athens! It is a great location, beautiful and terrific beds. Our "doubles" were actually American King size beds and extremely comfortable. The rooms, although on a busy street, were very quiet. Great bar upstairs with view if Acropolis. We will stay here again.
This hotel is unique! The design of Campana's brothers is very nice! It is located very close to the "Pathernon", so you can walk around the hotel and have access to many of the important sites. Our stay there was amazing. The staff that was very helpful and assisted us on everything. The roof bar is very nice and have good cocktails and delicious food. I strongly recommend New Hotel.
The rooms are so unique and funky. You know it's a good sign when you're Instagramming the artwork on your wall. And the details they've got to with the interior design to ensure it all fits in with the overlook, for e.g. Gold look rubbish bins. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere and could have used the metro in need. Only jumped in a taxi to get to/from the airport - that's my ideal city break. The chocolates that came with the turn-down service. The view from the rooftop restaurant/bar.
Staff were surly at first in the rooftop restaurant. We had just checked in, we didn't have a reservation for dinner, but it was almost empty and the greeter acted like it was a problem to find us a table. But waiting staff were more helpful. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate, and the options for the type of breakfast were confusing. There were 3 price options and how they were delivered was all different. One day we ate with other guests who had breakfast included and even they couldn't figure out what was included in the breakfast and what they would need to pay additional for. And then on top of that the food at breakfast - both the a la carte and buffet were just ok. While the interior design of the room is very cool, there were some sharp edges. While cleanliness is good, we found the housekeeping would take away used glasses and used bath mats and not replace them with clean ones so we had to ring for these each day.
Walking distance to the Acropolis, and to loads of good restaurants. Really well-designed hotel with cool interior design. Lovely staff who spoke perfect English and were extremely helpful when it came to recommending nice restaurants etc. Nice rooftop bar/restaurant.
Location is good.
First of all, the design is ok and interesting but it is not implemented in a best way. In a hotel functionality and comfort are very important. It is actually hard to live comfortably in this hotel. Breakfast is lousy and wifi as well. I was disappointed after spending the first three days in a great hotel in Glyfada.
Location, location, location. Room was nice - liked all the electronics. Friendly staff with fruit and sweets!
Maid service was not great - no glasses in the room. Really nice hotel - would definitely stay there again.
