It's not anywhere near what you are really coming to Santorini for (the sunsets, night clubs, restaurants and famous caldera). You will need your own transport (which the helpful reception staff can do for you at very competitive rates) or arrange something to see any of these. Apart from the excellent mini-mart next door, there is very little within walking distance (though I must say Mario Tavern about 1.5 km away is well worth the walk). Being a budget hotel, you are already not expecting the hot water, Wi-Fi or room electrical supply to be reliable and this is the case here, although the Wi-Fi at Reception is pretty good (and free everywhere). A special word of caution if you are booking a loft-style room (ours was 107); the air conditioning unit (which worked fine) is positioned on the wall about four feet lower than the level of the loft. This means the loft does not receive any cooled air from the air-conditioning unit (it blows to the ground floor only). As there are no windows in the loft, in summer you will sleep in your own sweat at about 30C until 02:00 or so in the morning, when the loft temperature finally drops below 25C. Take a piece of cardboard or plastic and be sure to insert into the room's electrical activation switch to run the AC all day. Perhaps other loft-style rooms are designed differently. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room (but the very helpful and resourceful Christina at reception managed to rustle up an electric kettle for our one week stay; of course you could not run the kettle and the air-con at the same time as the circuit breaker would trip; like all good budget hotels, in anticipation the circuit breaker box is in a prominent location with its safety cover already removed for easy access). All in all, if your expectations are where they should be for a budget hotel, you won't be disappointed, but be sure you understand the location - no sunsets, no bars or night clubs and no famous views of the caldera.
As the name suggests, this is a beach hotel and it is right on the beach, and the beach is decent. There's an excellent mini-mart right next door that sells everything and is open late. The hotel's pool and facilities are decent and the staff quite helpful, especially young Christina. The hotel grounds are pleasant enough and there is direct access to the decent beach.
