Quietly situated in the town of Kos, family-run Hotel Sonia is just 100 metres from the beach and just 50 metres from restaurants and shops.

Located in a quiet residential area in Kos Town, Americana is just 500 ft from the beach. It features an attractive terrace and garden, and prides itself on its breakfast.
Score from 178 reviews Wonderful
The hotel is conveniently located in a back street not far from the promenade and is therefore in a quiet location. My room was of a good size and you could easily have lived in it for a couple of weeks. It had a writing table and a balcony with chairs and a coffee table. The bathroom was very clean and also of a comfortable size to move around in. I was given a good breakfast on the pretty little terrace in front of the hotel. The owners and hotel employees were all very accommodating and I would be happy going back to this hotel.
Nothing at all, for just 23 euro this is a value-for-money option.
Stayed here for a night with a friend whilst visiting Kos. The hotel is perfectly located within easy walking distance to the harbour (approximately 2 minutes). The staff were fantastic and could not do enough for us. The room was large and spacious and very clean. The bathroom was extremely clean and the shower was lovely and hot and powerful. Breakfast was delightful, we sat on the veranda at the front of the hotel which was lovely and quiet. We will definitely be returning in May 2015. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
The location of this hotel is very good. It is just outside the busy city center, but it is very easy to reach by foot. The bus stop and beach is not that far. The staff is very friendly and will help immediately if there are any questions or if you need explanations. The breakfast was tasty and simple (occasionally some variation was allowed). Our room was spacious and was cleaned every day and the towels were replaced (almost) every day. There is also air conditioning. This hotel is good for when you are away all day and if you have enough of a place to sleep and a shower. The value of this hotel is highly recommended.
The beds in our room were quite hard, but we were able to sleep well. In the bathroom, the shower needs replacing, as well as the shower curtain. In the morning we've had some trouble with noise from other guests. For the rest there is nothing to criticize upon
comfortable beds good location
you will flood the bathroom, when you shower only ok for one or two nights, not the whole vacation!
Price, which included a good breakfast and airconditioning Location Friendliness of staff
Rooms and bathrooms need maintenance Some street noise because of motorbikes
Location was good - 10 min walk to harbour. Staff were friendly enough and did everything asked of them.
Area was rather run down. The side road where hotel is situated is a haven for scooters without silencers whose drivers all seemed to like to accelerate just under our balcony! Without ear plugs I would never have slept! Breakfast is a set meal and is a little monotonous if you stay for more than a couple of days. Bathroom was a wet room - literally!!
From breakfast on the terrace to the good sized and well fitted rooms with large balcony, this hotel ticked all the right boxes
Nothing, the hotel suited us perfectly
Clean quiet well placed good price good size fridge had air con comfortable beds and room nearby tavernas short walk from centre
No lift no help with bags upstairs No hot water don't know why as we were staying one night just let it go.
This small hotel is located in a quiet area of Kos city but in the same time not far (5 min walk)from Port, shoping streets.Near the hotel a lot of Greek Tavernas and supermarket (50 m).In front of hotel small garden.Very hospitable administration.
Nice clean room
Further than 100 metres from sqaure.
Really friendly family run hotel. Perfect for the centre of town and the marina. Nearby is the old town so, if your not bothered by a lack of a pool but want to be within 5-10 minutes walk to the beaches and restaurants its perfect.
Excellent family driven hotel in the quiet part of the city, but still close to old town and 2 minutes walk to the harbor. We enjoyed the incredible hospitality from those who owned the hotel. A perfect choice if you want to stay at Kos. This was the second time we visited this hotel, and we will be back next year!
Liked the friendliness of the owner who met us at nearly midnight and was very charming. Nothing was too much for him and he showed us how to get to the port to catch the boat to Patmos. We will book there again on our return to Kos town when he promises to tell us about the best hidden restaurants where the local Greeks eat
good location very close to the city center and port, nice staff, good breakfast
very poor wi fi, big cockroach in the room
Vasilli & Family lovely warm welcome, They could'nt do more to make you feel at home, if they tried. Everything was perfect, the situation of the hotel in Kos town for me,was great. The room I had was air conditioned clean and serviced daily, many Thanks Nigel
There was nothing that I did'nt like.
Friendly staff and atmosphere. Good location - close to the city center, yet facing a quiet street that seems to be used more by locals rather than tourists. A supermarket and a fruit shop are just across the street. This is a very basic type of accommodation - the rooms are essential - however, we truly enjoyed our stay thanks to a very good customer management (and a customer relationship manager).
Staff, breakfast, location, room, a/c, cleanliness
It was a spartan room, wifi is only in the lobby, they forgot to come pick me up at the airport, last day no room cleaning (?)
Clean, great breakfast, air-conditioned, helpful manager, and superb value for money
No scenic views of Kos, but who needs that if your just staying a few nights and out all day.
It was comfortable and convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there.
friendly staff, handy location.
uninspired breakfast with a few too many packaged foods.
I liked the friendly, family atmosphere and location. I found Vasilis to be a friendly and helpful host who took time to talk to his guest and offer help and guidance. I enjoyed my stay there and I do recommend the Olympia Hotel. I would give this hotel 10 out of 10.
Nothing springs to mind.
Location-far enough away from the action close enough for convenience. Very helpful staff. Reasonable rates
TV poor reception, hard mattresses!
Payed for a buffet breakfast and didn't get anything, the wifi didn't work either then got over charged.
Everything...very fine staff
Staff went out of their way to accommodate us after we were stranded from returning to bodrum due to high winds cancelling the ferries. We booked this hotel as a cheap place to lay our heads when visiting kos for the day from turkey. It is basic, but clean, the breakfast was simple but enjoyable and the staff more than accommodating ... We paid £29 per night.. Bargain !
Parts of the rooms could maybe do with abit of tidying up.. But only a minor grumble
