Second time at Ostria Inn! It is always the highlight of our holidays.A great welcome from the family, feeling at home. Relaxing & peaceful atmosphere. The renovated bathroom of our room was amazing( luxurious amenities),stunning sea view, great garden. The restaurant is always impressive.
Peaceful privy and very quiet place. If you are looking for a shelter where none could disturb you - this is the place to be. The hotel is not big, managed by a lovely family. Food in tavern is gerat. If you tired of the dishes that are in the menue they are always happy to cook something special by your order. Nice swimming pool and nice beach just across the small road. Water was very transparent and warm. The owner of the hotel was taking us to another bigger beach almost every day ) Suits are beautiful! Try to book one of the rooms that are upstairs.
The food was pretty expensive as well as the wines were. If you have no car there is almost no opportunity to go to the normal shop (there is just one tiny supermarket in Moutsuna village). Wi-fi is avalible only in tavern and by the swimming pool.
Everything was wonderful : the food, the lovely family running Ostria, the sea, the pool, the surroundings, the caipirinha's... and last but not least Leo, the cute dog, stoically shuffling around the place. We felt extremely welcome and even shed a tear when we left after 8 fantastic days. Thank you!
Very friendly, helpful staff - nothing is too much trouble for them. Sea views. Very peaceful, idyllic location.Excellent restaurant. Clean, comfortable apartments. Everything was perfect!
The food in the taverna was amazing; home-cooked Greek dishes, local cheeses from Naxos and Greek yoghurt, plus freshly caught fish was available most nights. The room was spacious, well equipped with a modern bathroom and decent air conditioning. The view from the balcony was good. The rooms were serviced twice a day and the hotel owners were very friendly, took the time to come and speak to us and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The location was great for those looking for a small, quiet and relaxing break, the beaches nearby are small, but not very busy - the village of Mountsouna is also pretty small, but had everything we needed.
The roads to get there are a little scary - but okay once you get used to them.
If you want to experience real Greek hospitality, great food, spotless accommodation, a hop & a skip to the pool and the beach, Ostria Inn is the place to be. The exceedingly friendly service makes this place special; Eirini and her family treat you like, well, family! They got everything right. So GO!
The kitchennette in the apartment is very sparsely equipped. And the 30% discount on the food on-site turned out to be 10%. And the wifi is weak... Those are the only three minor points of improvement!
The grounds were well kept.
The WiFi was poor or non-existent. The parking was very limited.
Very friendly and helpful family run apartment hotel. Great location overlooking quiet beach and bay . Good modern facilities within small peaceful and relaxing complex of individual apartments built in recent years. Large private terraces . Superb pool never too busy with plenty of seating areas . On - site taverna great for breakfast , meals and driks reasonably priced with nothing too much trouble fresh fish daily cooked to your choice. Local unspoilt Moutsana village within easy walking distance /short drive.has small supermarket . Restaurants in village very good with excellent fish restaurant next to beach . Interesting and very quiet beaches and coves on this side of island well away from Naxos Town. Panoramic restaurant with view to match on hilltop in middle of island worth visiting .
Nothing to dislike if you are prepared to make the effort to seek out this getaway from it all retreat.
Room.friendly staff. pool area ..excellent food .location . Drive down to resort wow !!
Wi.fi was sketchy
The place is beautiful and practically on a small beach. The food and service are also excellent.
The hotel is located on a beautiful and peaceful spot on Naxos and managed my very friendly people. The restaurant in the hotel is also excellent.
We had the most wonderful stay at The Ostria Inn - it really is a very special place indeed. From the minute we arrived we just felt calm. The rooms were clean and simple - we had a ground floor apartment with a double room and then two single beds in the main area. The pool is stunning and the grounds were beautifully maintained. It felt as if alot of thought had gone into the whole place. We were given a very warm welcome by Eirini and Sujan (and Leo the dog) and our children were treated like family. The beach just across the road was heaven for our young children - a perfect crescent of sand lapped by clear blue water. We can also highly recommend Dichty - one of the tavernas by the harbour in Moutsouna village - we had some amazing meals there and were again treated to wonderful hospitality. I almost don't want to tell anyone about this place as it was one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had - we will definitely be going back.
Some more information on things to see and do would be good - leaflets in the rooms perhaps? A little more variety on the breakfast menu!
