Staff is good and helpfull
Cold, wet, no heating after 11 o'clock. Really cold in winter. And a little dirty.
the host held a big and delicious Christmas dinner for us.
The hot water is not free, you have to pay 50 cent Euro for 8 minutes' hot water. The facilities are old, the wifi is very poor.
As any hostel it was crowded but for the price it's worth it :)
Location was good Close to sights Open Kitchen
Too many beds in too small a space in dorms Common areas close to Early Strange draft in the building keeping it unusually cold
You can leave a message in the kitchen.
You have to pay for the shower!?! There's no signs on the street to say it's the hostel. There's no 24hr reception even though it says there is.. So you can't check out early morning, you have to do it the night before. Wifi doesn't work in bedrooms. No common room. Smelly drains. People coming in late at night and sorting through their collection of plastic bags.
the staff is ok
no hot water,i don't know how to wash face and brush tooth for guest in the wintter
Have to pay for hot water
Once you get to Pagkrati, the neighbourhood as well as the hostel, you don't want to leave anymore. I recommend getting a cappuccino at Damareos 69, for breakfast, and also the washing machine is very good at the hostel, so for 4 euro you get a fresh start the next day!
The positive points about this hostel is it's reasonable price, nice safe neighbourhood, affectionate host, and friendly atmosphere. The available facilities are just perfect. If you are a solo traveller, and don't mind sharing your room with strangers Pagration can be a good choice. This hostel is mostly occupied by students.
The hostel is not very close to any of the metro stations. The nearest station is Evangelismos, which requires about 2km walking. For me personally, it was a positive thing as I love walking. I have no comments on the kitchen as I did not use it. I have found quite a few using the same.
Great location. Easy to get to attractions within 20 minute walk from everything. Very friendly staff. Very clean hostel. Would recommend to anyone coming to Athens.
- Location was good - Nice corridor full of plants - Balcony
- Very noisy street - 50 cts for 7 minutes hot shower (which wasn't even warm) - Unclean bathrooms - WiFi not working properly - No locker
kitchen, tv room , discussions, rooms, balconey..check in times,
pay for seven minutes of hot water, and the idea that this in turn saves water.
The staff gave nice recomendations of places to visits and routes to take. Friendly environment.
There are written rules everywere (which is nice) but at the same time nobody tells you about them beforehand. it would be good to be told the main conditions face to face to make sure yo comply to them.
The staff were extremely friendly, the hostel is within walking distance to all the sites. There's a good space to meet new people and travelers! Good value for the price.
No air conditioning makes sleeping a little hot in the summer. There's not a lot of space in the hostel.
Everything was great. Quite basic facilities but it was 100% made up for by the brilliant atmosphere. If you're looking for a good time, Pagration is it.
The staff was super friendly and the hostel hás a nice vibe. The place was clean enough and also comfortable.
The location isn't the best, you should catch a bus to go to the central area, which isn't a big ideal, but the bus stops don't stay in the best locations. Also, my biggest problem: NO LOCKS in the shower area. That was a big discomfort, even though nobody opened the door while I was there it could have happened.
its not expensive and its clean
its not very close to the turistic center, but it is easy to get there, the staff was not very helpfull and you have to pay for hot water, there is no A/C in the bedroom and its super hot in the summer
Cheap, not too far from the center (and if you don't want to walk, bus stop is close and there is 50% discount for students), nice and welcoming staff, good way to meet people from all over the world, quiet at night
water extremely cold in the shower (0.50€ for 7 min hot water), A bit too hot in the bedroom even though there is a fan
Several outlets to charge phones in the room Bathooms were consistently clean Staff were SO friendly and helpful Hot water does cost extra but it is so hot in Athens that a cold shower feels nice at the end of the day
Rooms were a little crowded W.c.'s were claustrophobic The kitchen was scary and fridge door didn't shut completely Location is really far from any archaeological or tourist sites, so we didn't look forward to the long walk home each night Bathroom on the level I slept was labeled men, but I didn't want to walk to another level to use the bathroom each time so that was weird
Very small rooms and to much hot
The atmosphere of the place is wicked. Everyone is so friendly and it's so easy to get to know people there. It's in a safe neighbourhood and there are countless bus stations nearby. If I ever get a chance to go back to Athens, this is where I would stay.
Nice landlady, public courtyard~
I have put some food at the public refrigerator， however, the sausage had disappeared. It is the first time that I lost thing at the Hostel, may someone get it by mistake, may be someone is hungry.
Social life, friendly people, kitchen&amenities, good residential area
The hostel is not a walking distance from many touristy places, unless you enjoy trekking, of course. But it was stated everywhere and it was not a problem since public transport stops close to it (there's not much alternative in Athens anyway). Not enough plugs in the room, but it was a minor problem too.
The dorms (6 people) are small but comfy, the entrance of the hostel is beautiful and really welcoming (you feel like entering a nice coffee place where you can sit with friends, watch a game, whatever :)). Everything is fine.
Paying 50 cents for 7 minutes of hot water in the showers ; After two days, walking home from the city center is a bit annoying ; wifi had some issues for the four days I was here.
It was cheap Other travelers were friendly and chill Miriam is great! Close to grocery stores Nearby walkable mall/shops
Its a little far from the sites (tram 11 is great!). No breakfast, no top sheet, not a lot of room to hang out in.
