No bad experience, everything perfect! Only problem, that has absolutely nothing to do with the property, it is difficult to find, even with a navigation device. One-way streets, very narrow. If you arrive at the port, as we did, either take a taxi or get a rental car directly from the port and ask them to show you the way to the hotel. In our case, the rental company people gave us the car at the port and then guided us all the way to the hotel. Otherwise, we would never have reached it .... From the hotel to the port it is an easy one-way route. But from the port to the hotel you have to go round the town and then make your way through the narrow streets.
The property is right in front of the sea - sandy beach with tavernas. Lovely view! Do book a room with a sea view, worth the small money difference! You get a large terrace with a lovely scenery (look for "sea-view apartment") where they serve you breakfast - if you like it this way. You can also have your breakfast in front of the small hotel (small private-house style), next to the small street, equally pleasant. Very interestingly, the pictures of the interior of the hotel - extremely tastefully arranged and very well maintained - do not give a proper idea of the place (usually it is the opposite). Very big thank you to Manolis and the lady serving the breakfast for their cordial hospitality! If we ever return to Naxos - which we would definitely like to - we will certainly choose Hotel Palatia!
