Besides the location, everything else was average or below average. Tight room, very thin bed sheets, non-working tv due to encoder failure, no double bed (2 singles next to each other without double matress pad), shower and wc with common floor without separator or curtain, etc. Although we didn't expect much more, so this was kind of ok. If you're not into hiking / climbing, you might want to visit another island, one that won't be spoiled by tourism and especially, "modern" living. Also, the port area seems to have some crime rate, something typically unseen in Greek islands. Perhaps this has to do with immigrants coming from Turkey. The island seems to have a percentage of shop owners / permanent residents who are Turkish natives.
We selected this place for its location, as we were staying for 1 night only / were on the island to transfer from Astypaea to Patmos, as it was mid-season and no daily routes were available. The location was good, the place was a typical old-school furnished room. The 40 euro per night was a fair charge due to its location / close proximity to the port. A 10-15 minute walk. The reception girl was very helpful. She also arranged our free pick up by the port on arrival by car.
