The island is really pretty with some lovely beaches & great restaurants & cafes. The local people are pleasant & welcoming. Great place to relax. The island is let down by its transport links. We were staying in Vathi & the ferry no longer goes to Vathi. There is no bus timetable on line (not released yet for 2019 - & it’s September!). We travelled on Sunday & didn’t know the bus doesn’t operate on Sunday. It was also generally inconsistent & unreliable (we think, but can’t be sure cos no timetable!). Small island with charm.
Small island with charm. Only two organised beaches, no buses, 2 taxis on the island which are ridiculously expensive, one petrol station, lots of yachty types in Vathy which is busy on Mondays. Ideal place if you're an extra in Cocoon or The Marigold Hotel!

Meganisi is a little paradise for those looking for a peaceful island away from the main tourist areas. People are friendly, food is great, and there are some secluded and not crowded beaches. It is also fantastic for running.

Meganisi is a beautiful island not too busy (yet). The villa is located close to beautiful Famari beach, Arherinos bay with tavernas and Vathi port with cafes, bars , restaurants etc. Note that you will need a car to move around, which you can park right outside the villa.PANAGIOTASwitzerland

The private pool, super comfortable king bed, walk-in show and sublime views made us feel like we had our own mini-villa. The staff were friendly and always answered our questions, solved issues and arranged transport, boat hire and Covid tests promptly and efficiently.

The kids loved splashing in the pool and we enjoyed the amazing view! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owners with a bottle of wine and some good advice about the place. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend their holiday in Meganisi!

They couldn't do enough for us, down to giving us a mozzie repellent for the room and calling taxis for us. The breakfast was incredible, and huge. So much variety and all delicious!! You get an astonishing view of the piers and the port from the balcony, with all the tavernas and restaurants/bars around. Perfect place for your stay on the beautiful Meganisi Island. Staff super kind, room super clean so highly recommended.

It's in a peaceful spot but is only a 5 minute walk into the lovely village of Spartochori. Meganisi is a magical place to stay.
