Hotel Paradise  

Friendly staff. Beautiful setting. Great food.

Extremely steep access road which makes it only accessible by car or taxi. About 20 mins walk down to main road and 30 back up depending on fitness. It would be very difficult for any fitness level in the heat. They do provide a free shuttle service because of this which goes at scheduled times during the day. This ties you to a time table and doesn't allow for the freedom of coming and going at leisure. €6/7 each way for taxi to and from Skiathos town.

Lack of friendliness from the hosts, unless you are a repeat customer, or spending all your time in the hotel eating and drinking, then I felt you were considered passing trade and not worth the effort.

Lovely family hotel in a quiet location with superior personal service and sea view rooms with great views.Excellent food in the restaurant and 6 free transfers to and from town daily between 10am and 11h15pm is very convenient.

The only gripe is that there is no lift so plenty of steps to encounter every day if the room is a sea view room.Also very difficult to carry the heavy travel cases up to and down(alone) from the upper rooms,otherwise great.

The food in the restaurant was extraordinarily good.

Excellent location in mountains above Agean Sea. Well kept and comfortable hotel, with friendly and helpful staff.

Hotel was in a good location with free shuttle bus into town. The staff where very friendly, hotel was really nice and would stay there again.

The hotel is situated in the ideal place for real relaxing... in mountains, quite near the sea, silence and quiet! That's what we need sometimes living in megalopolises! The staff are the family who are absolutely charming, polite and not intrusive! Everyting works like a Swiss watch in the hotel, what is quite unsual for Greece, and pleasant for the guests of the hotel! There is a schedule according to which you can easily get to the town Skiathos, this transfer is free! Home made cuisise will make you fall in love with this hotel! Cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel itself also impresses! It's worth coming back to Paradise!

L'hotel e' un'ottima struttura no-frills, e' come sentirsi a casa, i proprietari sono molto cortesi, non invadenti e mettono subito a proprio agio. Buon rapporto qualita' prezzo considerando l"alta stagione.

The owner of this hotel never told us a goodmorning! There was no air condition all time of day.It was closed 10:00 to14:30 and 20:00 to 22:30 every day without a warning for my little baby.It is very difficult for anybody to rest in a room,where the outside temperature is 42 c and inside 35-36 without A/C.This is not a 3star hotel and of course and the 110 euro a day for that room was too much.The room had a problem also with ants.

A perfectly relaxing stay with great food and terrific hosts who make you feel very welcome

Trevlig, hjälpsam personal. Sköna sängar. Hotellet låg bra till om man inte vill bo mitt i centrum men mellan alla stränder och centrum. Fint och rent. Mysigt hotel med mysig familj som driver hotellet ! Finns gratis transport till centrum och till stranden fram och tillbaka flera gånger per dag. Mycket bra om man vill slippa gå upp och ner för backen.

Det enda negativa var att det ligger en bit upp det är en brant backe på ca 900 meter som man inte vill gå upp för i värmen. Men nästan alla hyr jeep, moped eller som vi gjorde fyrhjuling. Då var det absolut inga problem att ta sig upp och ner och kunde åka vart man ville. Inga problem att köra på skiathos då det var ganska lugn trafik. Vi fick också två sängar som stod ihop alltså inte en dubbelsäng som vi kanske velat ha. Men sängarna var bekväma att sova i för övrigt så det gick bra.

The hotel itself is a very good 3 star hotel. It is very well maintained with very friendly and helpfull staff. Two of the main staff are brothers and co owners so they do take great pride and care in running the hotel. The rooms and common areas are exceptionally clean. The room itself was comfortable. Don't go expecting luxury and glamour however, the furniture is basic but adequate the rooms have a bed, dressing table. 2 chairs and double wardrobe with an en-suite bathroom. The hotel pool is very clean And all sunloungers have padding so are very comfortable. The food is good, and overall is a very pleasant hotel with exceptional views.

There are no negatives only words of advice. We visited the hotel the last week in August our group consisted of myself and my husband both mid to late 30,s, out 17 month old daughter and my 80 year old mother. The hotel does not have a lift so the steps became problematic. There are steps everywhere, not only the obvious ones to the rooms. They did put my mother on the first floor in fairness but this consisted of ten steps from Reception then a further ten steps to the first floor. Our room was on the second floor so in total approx 40 steps to our room carrying our toddler ( hard work ). They also have steps to breakfast. More steps to the terrace, more steps down to the pool. It is not suitable for anyone with a toddler or young children, very dangerous. Also not ideal for the elderly or anyone who struggles with lots and lots of steps. The worst part is the 30 steps to the entrance of the hotel which do not even have a hand rail for support.
