Parnon Hotel  

The staff is very kind and speak good English, offering to hold my luggage while on a a side trip for a few days. Free internet in the lobby. Only 2 blocks from the metro,Spotlessly clean room with balcony.Good fast food place (Joy,s) with good greek fast food at reasonable prices on the same block.They were very cooperative about the reservation when I thought that the total shut down of ground transport due to a strike would prevent my arrival. I don't know what planet these people who complain about the dangerous area are from, but I found this to be completely untrue. I can find seedier places in my local environment of Portland, OR. An older hotel but well maintained and a good value,

A modest breakfast included would have been nice for the price. TV channels somewhat limited. Could use a refridgerator so you could self-cater and save some money on the Euro zone rip-off prices. I am convinced that the Euro was created solely to charge Americans double the price for everything. If the Euro collapses, it will serve them right.

Noisy! Don't take a room at 8th floor and under any circumstances room 806. There is some sort of generator that runs from time to time and makes so much noise that walls are shaking. No matter the time.

The hotel was very good for the price we paid. Location is amazing, 1-minute from Omonia metro station and a walking distance from all the major sights in Athens. When we checked in the guy in the reception gave us a city map and noted down all the major places for us to go and the opening and closing times of each, it was very helpful.

There was water dropping from the air conditioned and the man that was at night at the reception kept staring at us every time we got to the hotel.

This is my 3rd time stay in Parnon Hotel , The Staff is very friendly and helpful, The Cafe under the Hotel open 24 hours, Location near to everywhere ( Main Square ,restaurant ,malls)Just 1min walk from Subway ,The breakfast was also very good .

Le personnel est très accueillant et très serviable. La chambre twin est fonctionnelle, récemment rénovée, avec un large bureau, un balcon (certes donnant sur une rue très passgère), de très grands rangements et une belle salle de bains. Cet hôtel est très calme et bien insonorisé. Le buffet du petit déjeuner propose un large choix de produits salés ou sucrés. Comme l'hôtel est situé à 100 mètres de la station de métro "omonia", c'est vraiment très pratique pour un séjour à Athènes car cela permet de se rendre en quelques minutes aux principaux points d'intérêt de la ville. Enfin, le rapport qualité/prix est imbattable pour cette catégorie. Pour résumer: simplicité, fonctionnalité et confort sont les points forts de cet hôtel. Bien sûr le quartier n'est pas très bucolique, la circulation y est incessante et vous y croiserez sans doute quelques drogués et prostituées. Toutefois en dix jours, je ne m’y suis jamais senti en insécurité, même en rentrant tard le soir.
