Parthenis Beach  

We came for 3 nights! In two words - WAS GREAT ! אחלה מלון - שווה את המחיר, צוות ידידותי ומתחשב ! רק לבוא ולהנות.

Very friendly personel, special attitude of the owner, nice location - first beach line, very comfortable bed. We liked our staying very much and can recommend to everybody.

We just could say that the internet connection speed could be faster. In my case, I could not watch online sports comfortably.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a wonderful week at Parthenis Beach! Being our first time in Malia we were a little nervous of what to expect - but I swear this is the best hotel in the town - our nerves were very soon turned to excitment! Malia itself was quiet as the main season is in the summer - but this is just what we were looking for - it looked as though in the summer there would be swarms of party revellers - fun if that's what you're looking for but not for us this time round! We stayed in the suite which was a fantastic room (including a kitchen, spare twin room, bathroom and sitting/dining area) with a beautiful view over the sea which we enjoyed while sitting on the spacious balcony. This room would also be perfect for a family as there is ample space for more than just a couple. Parthenis the owner and his wife Eleanor were so welcoming and accomodating and they ran the hotel with effortless efficiency. I must also mention Marika who worked at the bar in the evenings - she never failed to have a smile on her face, even when we were still sat at the bar at 1 in the morning! We also visited Parthenis's restaurant Drossia 3 times during our stay. Again a really well run and slick establishment, with great food and attentive staff. The food in general was fantastic (including the breakfasts and lunches at the hotel) - we have returned happy and probably a few pounds heavier than we arrived!! Many thanks to Parthenis, Eleanor, Marika and all the staff at The Parthenis for making our holiday so perfect - we will have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to family & friends and hope to return again in the future!

Excellent location near the beach (excellent with kids). Family sized hotel (not a big complex).

We had the 2 bedroom suite and it was gorgeous!!! The main room was beautiful with twin beds pushed together (but no wardrobes), large sitting area, functional kitchen and amazing view over pool and beach - really divine! The small bedroom attached was fine - we gave that to our kids so we could enjoy the view - but then we had nowhere to unpack - anyway we could live with that! The only serious negative was the airconditioning didn't work and the electricity went off atleast once a day everyday of our 3 day stay. The manageress was very helpful, moving us to other rooms to sleep in where the ac did work. It was a pain though when we came in from pool/beach each night to have no hot water, lights or hairdryer, the owner insisted it wasn't the hotel, but the whole area. I'm not sure.

Intermittent elctricity and unreliable air conditioning.

Stayed with my family. The Executive Suite and location of the Parhenis Beach is simply great ! The kindness and "warm" service from the staff and The Parthenis Family is truly unique. Would also recommend The Drossia Resturant driven by the same management as by the hotel. Good food and not overprized.

The Hotel facilities and people were fantastic!

Unfortunately, the town of Malia was disappointing because of the number of young people driving ATVs and scooters which were too noisy and dangerous for walking on the road. I wouldn't recommend walking for anyone on those roads.

If you are looking for luxury accomodations with 24-hr concierge service, carpeted and modern rooms, etc, then this place is not for you. This hotel will overwhelm you with its charm and warmth. It is located right on a sandy beach (most beaches there are rocky) and we were thankful we chose it instead of the other hotels in the area. The pool is wonderful with plenty of very comfortable long chairs, the owners will go out of their way for you and offer you fruits from their own harvest. I stayed in hundreds of 5-star hotels in my life and the experience at Parthenis Beach is certainly one of the best. It is very quiet, and close to everything. I highly recommend the restaurant Drossia owned by the same owners as well as the restaurant San Giorgio located in the old town, 15 minutes walk.

Beautiful location on the beach. Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely views from the room. Clean and comfortable room. Plenty of space for the children to play.

Je suis allee à l'hotel Parthenis avec Une copine pour 5 jours. L'hôtel était très bien placé ( en bord de mer) avec des transats sur plage au top et une petite plage très agréable. Malia est touristique avec beaucoup de jeunes qui font la fête ( jeunes :18-20ans), nous avions peur du bruit mais c'est très calme car l'hôtel est au bout d'un petit chemin! Le fromage blanc du petit dej est super bon Le personnel très accueillant (le boss de l'hôtel nous distribuait des fraises pendant la bronzette de l'apres midi). On nous a expliqué ou aller, que voir, que faire, appelé un taxi pour le retour à l'aéroport qui se faisait de nuit. Nous avions une petite terrasse avec vue sur mer ( et sur la piscine très jolie avec ses lumières bleues) Je recommanderai cet hôtel pour un séjour tranquille , en famille , romantique, ou pour un séjour entre amis. Tout était très bien!

Beste Lage, nur 300 Meter von der Strasse entfernt, aber total ruhig. Liegestühle ohne Ende mit Komfortauflagen, direkt am Strand und am Pool. Genialer Service, man wird vom Chef persönlich bedient. Sehr saubere Zimmer, teils mit direktem Meerblick. Auch die Zimmer auf der Landseite sind zu empfehlen, schöner Bergblick, großer Garten.

J'ai choisi la suite pour 4 personnes. Super vaste lumineuse vue magnifique. Equipement très bien (pas de tirebouchon). Le personnel est attentif et très sympa. Cadre très beau , belle picine et directement à la plage. Le Drossia est un très bons restaurants à 5 minutes à pied de l'Hotel bon un peu cher. L'hôtel permet facilement de visiter la région. Snacks le midi très bien. Jus d'orange frais un régal.

La ville de Mallia n'est pas très intéressante, de noubreux mauvais restaurants (sauf le Drossia) Le chemin n'est pas bien indiqué (avec un gps pas de problème) Hotte de la cuisine en panne.

Emplacement pieds dans l'eau avec piscine et bar agréable

Aucune indication (panneau,...) permettant de trouver l'hôtel contrairement à tous ses concurrents environnant. Heureusement que d'autres hôteliers et restaurateurs nous ont aidé à trouver cet établissement (et pourtant nous avons une certaine expérience des voyages à l'étranger) Numéro de téléphone hors service (plus attribué) et aucun personnel à l'accueil. Toutes les indications/information dans l’hôtel sont en hollandais...langue un peu moins répandue que l'anglais il faut quand même le reconnaître ! Pas de rangement dans les chambres mis à part une simple penderie. Climatisation peu performante dans la chambre, et aucune clim dans le reste de l'appartement. Très faible niveau d'équipement de l'appartement/suite. Pas de terminal cb après 18h pour le check-out : obligation de payer en cash ou de ce déplacer pour payer dans un restaurant appartenant au même propriétaire : pas très pro !
