Pension Kasteli  

Very friendly and helpful staff (even gave a gift to our baby); very large room; good parking off street (if full, staff organizes alternatives); very central location; one of the few hotels in Crete where the Internet could be accessed from the room.

No breakfast (but staff let us use kitchen); very long and steep stairs to the room; on arrival it can be difficult to stop car in front of the hotel because the street is very narrow.

Pension Kasteli is in a fabulous location, just minutes from the old Venetian Harbour, with a supermarket seconds away. We had an extremely clean triple room with a balcony, hot water everyday, free wifi, fantastic a/c, use of the kitchen and car parking, which is at a premium in Chania - it was faultless. However, without doubt, the best thing about Pension Kasteli is Alex the Manager. He is such a kind, generous and hard working man. I was travelling with my mother and he carried our cases up to the room, offered us coffee every morning, offered advise on where to eat, where to visit, the best beaches etc (and he was right, there are some fabulous beaches nearby) and took a general interest in our activities without being overbearing. I'd got a nasty mossy bite on my face from a night in Heraklion and he gave me creams etc for it so I wouldn't have to buy any! Also, as he lives on the top floor with his family, we felt very safe there, which was really important to us. We would both definately recommend this pension to anyone travelling to Chania - it was fab. We travelled all around the island for two weeks and our time here was the most memorable....

Liegt direkt in der Altstadt. Pension ist renoviert und sauber. Man muss jedoch eine 20 Stufen Treppe hoch zum Zimmer steigen. 20 m entfernt gibt es 6 pensioneigene Parkplätze.

Estrema gentilezza, disponibilità e preparazione

Un accueil parfait, un parking privé et une situation idéale. Cette adresse est parfaite pour visiter Hania. Un grand merçi à Alex, le gérant de la pension.

Situation idéal pour visiter la ville, on peut pas faire mieux. L'accueil est lui aussi excellent. Un bon camp de base pour les départs en voiture également car parking...

Un petit rafraichissement de la déco ferait pas de mal...

La pensione Kasteli si trova in un'ottima posizione: via centrale, ma tranquilla. Il proprietario è gentile e l'accoglienza all'arrivo è buona. La nostra camera aveva un piccolo balcone che dava sulla via Kanevaro con sedie e tavolino. L'aria condizionata permetteva di stare in camera senza problemi. Senz'altro il parcheggio privato è un grande vantaggio per chi soggiorna presso questa pensione perchè a Chania è davvero impossibile trovare il posto per la macchina. Prima di partire ci è stato dato un grazioso omaggio.

La stanza era piuttosto spartana e all'arrivo il piccolo armadio (senza alcun ripiano) era pieno di vecchie coperte. Il bagno non aveva nessun appoggio e la doccia non aveva tenda per cui l'allagamento, se non si prendevano precauzioni, era garantito. I primi tre giorni la stanza è stata pulita bene poi basta: un giorno (e non la domenica) non è stato rifatto nemmeno il letto. La cosa più grave però è che in nove giorni non sono state mai cambiate le lenzuola e gli asciugamani!. Riteniamo che migliorando questo aspetto si possa consigliare il soggiorno in questa pensione.

Une super adresse: grande chambre confortable avec un balcon, situation idéale, proche de tout mais au calme, accueil chaleureux , très sympathique,du propriétaire...nous serions bien restés plus longtemps que prévu!

De eigenaar is zeer aardig en behulpzaam. Ook zijn persoonlijke advies over wetenswaardigheden over het eiland (wandelingen, restaurants, etc) geeft hij graag. Daarnaast zijn de kamers prima onderhouden: netjes in de verf en om-de-dag komt 'the maid'. Prima in orde. Het appartement ligt werkelijk op steenworp afstand van het prachtige haventje (200 meter) met diverse goede restaurants. Als klap op de vuurpijl is een prive parkeerplaats aanwezig (wel noodzakelijk in dit gedeelte van de stad).

De kamer ligt vlak langs de straat en er komt nogal lawaaiig verkeer over. Maar als je de deur dicht doet (airco aan) valt het allemaal wel mee. Ook de douchebak is klein en heeft geen afscheiding met de rest van de badkamer (daardoor wordt het een beetje een waterballet na het douchen).

Le patron est tres accueillant et parle un tout petit peu le français. Il vous conseillera tres bien sur ce qu il a à voir et vous indiquera par où passer en voiture ou .à pîed. N'hesitez pas à lui demander les adresses pour manger cela vous evitera de vous faire avoir par des tavernes à touristes

החדרעם ממוקמים בעיר העתיקה של חנייה במרחק של דקה מהטיילת, בחדרים משופצים מהתקופה הונצינאית של חנייה. החדרים נחמדים והסביבה יפה מאוד. אני חושב שהייחס שאלכס המנהל מעניק לדיירים הוא נפלא, תמיד בחיוך ועונה על כל שאלה.

It has excellent location, and even it is in the middle of the old town of Chania, it's quite, so, after an exciting day in Chanias wonderfuld area you can relax and sleep well. It's only 50 m from the harbour, several restaurants, a fantastic bakery (not specially "shiny", but with super-tasting bread) etc, but you can use the little kitchen to prepare your own breakfast or sandwich with free tea or coffee. It's clean (and I got happy by finding my sleeping-shirt wellcomes me in a nice formation, when I came back in the evening). It's not fancy, but nice, and you get all, what you need, and if you have some energy left, you can surfe on the gratis wifi. Really ok for the price. Nice and friendly people.
