Pefka Hotel  

I liked the design of the rooms, the fact that it was very clean, the facilities (we had 2 LCDs in a quadruple room, one for each bed, there was enough space in the room, the balcony was large). The price was ok as well, giving the fact that we took a triple and a quadruple room. We wouldn't have had money for the double rooms though :), but I think the hotel is worth the money. The breakfast was ok as well from my point of view. I would recommend Pefka Hotel for anybody who wants to stay at a good hotel at a fair price. The location is also ok if you have a car, it's at 15 minutes drive from Thessaloniki and you have a view of the city from that area. Overall I enjoyed staying at Pefka Hotel.

No major dislikes here. Just that the shampoo and soap recipients were empty when we left, even though we stayed only 1 night, so a refill before we arrived would've been good :). But this wasn't a big issue.

The hotel is nice and recently renovated. The room and in particular the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was ok (a good continental breakfast). The public places were also nicely decorated. The value for money is very good in comparison with hotels of the same quality that are in the center of Thesaloniki.

There is no internet access (wireless or no) in the rooms. There is no safebox in the room.

Family room is an excellent value for money, clean and recently renovated. Reception was friendly and willing to help; breakfast selection / quality was also good.

The hotel is situated in Panorama, a Hill near to Thessaloniki. If you have the right romm you will have a great view! The restaurant on top of the hotel was closed for alteration, the receptionist gave us the number for a pizza-courir and we were allowed to eat in the lobby.

Not only the restaurant should be altered, but also some rooms are a littlebit old-fashioned.

However, we had two problems that really ruined our stay. There were many mosquitoes in the room. We kept chasing them and from what we could see on the walls previous guests did the same. During the evening and night we killed over 10 mosquitoes (no exaggeration). A simple screen at the windows would solve the problem and make our stay perfect. Furthermore the air-condition was hitting at the sofa bed and had no way to aim it elsewhere. We had to turn it off on a very hot night and could not open the windows due to the mosquitoes.

Pefka is a great place as far as location. We had never been to the Panorama neighborhood of Thessaloniki and it's a cool base for visiting the city, for going shopping to Cosmos Mall or Ikea, and for a day trip to one of the Halkidiki beaches. The little Panorama neighborhood itself is a nice stroll too. The rooms are small, but clean and well kept. The breakfast was nothing fancy, but nice. The staff were excellent - there was a problem and the staff gave us a room discount (air conditioner broke during our very hot stay).

The AC broke and we were without AC both nights. Quite stifling, and our daughter and us had problems sleeping. Being that it broke over the weekend in Greece, there wasn't much to be done. We recommend the hotel but call first about the AC.

Excellent hotel in very nice location. Very clean , newly furnished rooms &bathrooms, good breakfast, friendly staff.

The overall condition were good. The breakfast was ok

There was no hairdryer at the two rooms that we took. The position from the city was a bit far.

The rooms were sprayed with a scent that could cause asthma or breathing difficulties.The breakfast was very poor and not good quality food.

Free WiFi, but not in rooms. Free street parking in front of hotel. Clean room/bathroom. Good but not spectacular breakfast. Effective, quick, check-in & check out.

Very poor soundproofing, i was able to hear everything going on the corridors (e.g. the annoying traffic in the elevator) , as well as the toilet ventilation of adjacent rooms
