The hotel staff is really friendly and helpful. The pick-up service is really wonderful. We arrived in the Piraeus port around midnight. The ferry was later than it was supposed to be. The hotel driver still waited for us at the port. Besides, the location of hotel is good and close to the ocean. It is easy to find the restaurants to eat.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were a party of 6 family and friends and booked because it was so inexpensive for us all to stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find to find ourselves in such a nice place that was so central. The rooms were great----spacious ,very clean with wonderful bathrooms. The staff were very helpful when we wanted bus routes etc. The breakfasts were substantial and the hotel was close to the shops and all the places we wanted to go.The shuttle bus was also handy when we had to get back to the airport in the middle of a transport strike. The bonus was, that just when we thought that we had found paradise, we came across Ta Katsarolakia restaurant and Sofia. She has the best Greek food that we have ever tasted (and we live in Crete). We shall most definitely be back

The staff is very helpful. The driver who took us from the airport charged us more than it deserved. The staff came and helped us to deal with the problem which was finally settled.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling by ferry. The hotel is excellent value for the price, and the location is very convenient. There was also a free shuttle to the port which was an added bonus.

Best accommodation services offered by this hotel. We had to take blue star ferry from gate #4 which is remote one [initially we thought that it was gate #7 but it had been moved to gate E4]. The free shuttle service proved to be the best possible way to get to the ferry on time. Which was great!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were newly refurbished and immaculate! Free transportation to my cruise ship. Very satisfied with my stay. No complaints whatsoever. The tub was small without a curtain, but not unexpected in a European setting!

The Hotel Staff were excellent in hospitality, couteousness and"nothing was too much". They gave me tea and coffeee at all times of the day. The rooms are beautifully decorated and recently refurbished. The location for the marina is just ideal. There are a lot of shops around the hotel and within walking distance. The pick up bus shuttle service is free and most handy for catching ferries from Piraeus. The x96 bus stop from the airport is near the hotel but the shuttle will pick you up if you book in advance and also tell them that you are on the bus for them to time the pick up. Highly recommended

We stayed in the Phidias Hotel before and after our holiday on Greek islands and both times we were just blown away by the comfort and service in this hotel - and this for a price lower than in a youth hostel! We paid 30€ for a wonderfull fresh renovated double bed room, with great design, comfortable mattress, beautiful and clean bathroom and and and (we asked both times for a renovated room, as we followed the tip of one the reviewers here). A rich breakfast was included in price, too! You could order eggs, sausages, cheese, ham, cake, orange juice, tea, coffee and this was all served to your table by very friendly hotel employees. Moreover, there was a free shuttle from the bus/train station to the hotel and from the hotel to your ferry, train station, bus... The day we were leaving for the islands, the driver was waiting for us at 6 A.M. in the hotel lobby so that we were at our ferry on time. As we arrived back in Piraeus from the islands, the driver was waiting for us at the harbour at 6 A.M.! Arriving at the hotel many hours before the check-in time, we were greeted with a breakfast and a promise that the room would be ready for the check-in as soon as possible. After an hour we got the key - in the early morning! The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were frankly ashamed for having paid only 30€ per night and getting such a five-star service and quality at the Phidias Hotel. As far as the location is concerned, it was also a very good choice - not too far from the main harbour (but you need the shuttle to go to ferries) and in a quite nice area of Piraeus, close to the Pasa Limani - a very nice marina. We will definately stay again in the Phidias Hotel during our next stay in Greece because we will definately come back to this wonderful country with wonderful and hard working people giving their best shot to make your holiday in Greece as nice as possible.

The staff was sooo helpful to me for absolutely everything, and if they didnt know, they would find out, they, made my stay here so nice, and they helped me find my way around the city, here in piraeus, and in athens! I would recommend anyone to stay here, price, convience, helpful, what more could you want, they even have a free shuttle service, that picked me up where the x96 bus dropped me off at and took me to the hotel, and the port of piraeus, where I took a ferry to poros, another quiet and fun island thats not too far, and not too expensive!! I would stay here again if I ever have the pleasure to visit greece again!!

Service was amazing from the start! I was given directions from the airport to the bus stop where their minivan was waiting to pick me up on the dot, my bags were carried for me and the check in lady was so friendly even though it was about 10pm at night. They made my breakfast for me before breakfast was meant to start so that I could eat before going to my ferry at 5.45am, I was thrilled. Breakfast for five euro was an omlette, ham, cheese, toast, tea cake, coffee and juice, well worth it. My single room was huge, clean and very quiet. The bathroom was also quite large and provided me with a great change to have a peaceful bath after a month of backpacking. Truly a great place to stay if you're heading to the port. The only thing they need is a shower curtain because the water does go everywhere but it's a hand held shower device so just use it in your hand to avoid splashing the floor.

Throughout my stay of 21 days I was extremely impressed of all aspects of the hotel. even though renovation work was being carried out it did not impinge at all on the qyality of my stay. I was extemely impressed at being able to reserve a single room that had all the facilities available in a regular room. The cleanliness throughout the hotel, even with the work, was superb. The cleanliness of my room throughout my stay was topclass, showing that even with extended stays the staff were still able to maintain a high level. the friendliness of all the staff was what impressed me the most, nothing was too much and they even helped when I got lost late at night which was highlt appreciated. the hotel is small and I believe thats what made it for me too!!! being on my own for 3wks they made me feel at home no matter how busy they were. most people use it to get to the islands but this hotel is definately more than that and I hope this review makes this very clear!!!!! All in all a great place to stay - for me ten out of ten!!

A real gem in a wonderful location where we were warmly welcomed by Constantinos who helped our party of 4 with all our baggage. The Phideas is a beautiful little hotel, very conveniently situated 1 block away, and only 2 minutes walk, from a small marina and the Pasalimani offering a wide variety of gorgeous outdoor restaurants with lovely views of the yachts and a wonderful vibe in the evening. The hotel is currently being renovated, floor by floor, we had rooms on the 1st floor and were not inconvenienced in any way at all. Our rooms were really well furnished in very modern styling and with brand new Tvs, fridges and beds with good linen, the bathrooms were fantastic, modern and tasteful ( large for a Greece! ) even offering a small bath and a shower and with new fluffy white towels.Breakfast was good, served in the modern colourful lobby, internet was free, so appreciated as we arrived during the ferry strike and and needed to stay on top of the issues and to rebook etc, and a free transfer is offered to and from the port, a real bonus for the ferry connections. Baggage storage is also offered and a safe is provided in the rooms, all really wonderful facilities for a 2* hotel. We loved our overnight stay at the Phideas and would definately go back. Nothing at all!

Really good accommodation. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay before or after a ferry or cruise trip or just wanting to stay out of Áthens city. Was really convenient location in Piraeus and the free port transfer. Looks like the place is getting renovated at the moment but it didn't affect us and the lobby area looks great.

Best hotel in Greece I've stayed at. My room, which was one of a kind, was on the top floor, by itself, so it was super quiet, as I had requested. The staff were peerless in their consideration and concern. The hotel was extremely clean, and they even picked me up from my bus stop from the airport and dropped me off at the ferry when I left. Plus the price was only 30 euro--incredible.
