The Philippos is just around the corner from the Acropolis, the Plaka, and the Acropolis Museum. For seeing any sights in Greece, it is convenient and within walking distance of many things.

We paid €5 a day for wi-fi and it kept kicking us off. The only place I got a really good signal was if I stood right by the door.

All staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable; it also head a very large balcony with views of the Acropolis. The breakfast was rich and presented very nicely. We had a delightful stay at the Philippos.

Excellent location. Single room was a bit small, but perfectly comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast had a great variety and quality.

Hotel's location is very good. It is very close to the Acropolis metro station where you can connect to other locations with metro. Also it's in walking distance to the Acropolis, Acropolis museum, Plaka & Monastriaki. The street of the hotel is quiet, safe & nice. The breakfast is very good. The rooms are very clean. The staff is excellent & very helpfull. Taking into account that the price of the hotel is also affordable , the Philippos Hotel surely a very good choice of accomodation.

Really well located (subway at 3 min, acropolismuseum at 3 min, city center!), cheap (50euro/night) and clean. Confortable room

Small room, stairs to the entrance lobby with no alternative, so you need to drag your bags up, breakfast very simple

Hotel was very close to Acropolis and Acropoli subway station. Breakfast was fair.

Air conditioning was not cooling down properly and bed was uncomfortable; they put two single bed together to make it one double bed.

Great location and was quiet. Everything was good on my second stay at the Philippos Hotel.Highly recommend this hotel for stays in Athens. . Service and staff are always helpful and courteous.

Breakfast could be better, regarding choice of breakfast meats and sausages. Otherwise a good breakfast.

The price and the excellent location. Right around the Akropolis and in the center of Athens. The receptionist was very friendly, too.

The staff are super friendly & helpful, they speak English very well, the breakfast was good, the room was comfortable, we were lucky enough to get the room facing the Acropolis, what an amazing view, the hotel is well priced, we will definetely be back.

Great location! Very close to Acropolis and main attractions. Hotel suits for one-two nights stay to explore the centre of Athens.

Smell in the room - it wasn't smell of flowers. Poor breakfast. Non-free wi-fi.

Solo traveller - I stayed at the Philippos Hotel on 11th and 12th May and my room, had a great balcony, directly overlooking the Acropolis and was smallish, double bed, and of a very good standard, clean and comfortable. - the hotel has larger family rooms with balconies also, which were of a good size, the breakfast is sufficient and plenty of it - a very good standard for the price, and would definitely book this hotel again. The location of Philippos Hotel was excellent, close to the to the Acropolis, and central to the Archeological sites, the Plaka, the market, and Syntagma Square, was also in reasonable walking distance to the Metropole underground, providing easy access to port of Piraeus and boats to the Islands, and to other parts of Athens and the airport. Its twin hotel, the Heriodian, has a lovely, spacious roof terrace that directly overlooks the Acropolis, and well worth a visit, to have a drink or a snack. Great Hotel, reasonably priced, with a pleasant, open plan, well designed foyer, with comfortable seating area, and a modern facade, well lit with large glass windows. The Philippos hotel was awarded a Trip Advisor hotel award for 2011.
