convenient location; rooms ample in size; view from rooftop ; welcomed with small bottle of wine.

staff inconsistent- dealt with 3 staff members who where excellent, one front desk young woman; one night staff, older gentleman, one housekeeping. all were very helpful and professional. we had one one young man at front desk that made us feel like a burden when we had a question and was not willing to do anything extra to help. for example, we desperately needed boat schedule for early morning departure from athens to mykonos. he claimed he had no information and we needed to contact travel agent, which was already closed at late hour we arrived. when i pressed the issue, and other staff members were present, he suddenly came forward with the information. his lack of cooperation would have caused us to miss the only means of transportation for that day. by the way, there was not a language problem, desk staff speak english.

Its located in the heart of the ancient part of the city, you could walk to almost every part of it. The shopping area, the souvenirs alley and the cozy restaurant are less than 200 m. Coffee, tea and small bites are free in the dining room, the roof top garden view are spectacular. The room are clean and have a balcony. The receptionist staff are very helpfull, three of them are very keen to search an old frends of our sister which already lost of contact for more than 20 years, who we only know her maiden name and her husband' family and the district where the live in the past. We found her, and revitalization the old acquintance.

Everything was great. The hotel was immaculately clean. The rooms small but perfect. Breakfast fresh and hot with a great selection of cold foods, breads etc, Roof top terrace worth a million dollars. We would 100% recommend using this hotel for a Athens break.

The staff were always extremely helpful with relevant information posted in the lift every day. The breakfast was excellent every day. Anytime we needed help with something the concierge was fantastic and the Roof Garden is fantastic. Elsa at the bar on the roof is amazing. Will definitely come back to Plaka Hotel when we are next in Athens.

An oasis from Athens life. Both male receptionists excellent. Take up the recommendation for the restaurant whose name I forget but does "Mediterranean with a European twist". The view of the Acropolis is superb. Would certainly stay here again but 40 Euros to the airport in a taxi. If less luggage would certainly use the convenient underground.

Super friendly and helpful staff, who make you feel extremely welcome. Top location within the old town, from which you can walk easily to the main sights. Amazing roof terasse with a view that was just mindblowing. breakfast was plentyful, but could have varied a bit more over the days. Highly recomment this hotel.

The location of the hotel is the best thing about it. It is close to everything: shopping, food, historical sites, metro, etc. The view of the Acropolis is breathtaking!!! I highly recommend staying in Plaka for first time travelers to Greece. The housekeeping staff did an amazing job. The rooms were so clean. Tonia was amazing. Very helpful and eager to please.

The hotel does provide a "buffet" type breakfast with every room and the food is flowIng. After two days you get tired eating the same food. Seriously need some variety. I stayed In the connecting family room. It was a bit small. Also, my kids were ravaged by Mosquitos. Bring your own repellent & don't open the windows. Men at the front desk were cold. Tonia is the nicest one there.

The room is clean and can see the whole view of acropolis. Very near from the Ermou street and Plaka~

The triple room is just double room add a folding bed.

Excellent value for the price. Very clean, looks recently renovated. Comfortable and excellent location. Roof terrace must be fantastic in spring/summer. Will definitely return!

The location was excellent, the view was beautiful and the rooms were nice and tidy and the shower was wonderful. There was everything we needed and it was really a value-for-money hotel.

The two beds combined as a double bed - it didn't work out right. There was nothing wrong with the beds but as a couple you couldn't lie next to eachother as beds kept rolling apart.

The roof top view of the Acropolis is terrific. My room had been renovated and the bathroom was nicely done. It is located very near the Monastiraki Station and major retailing and a lot of cafes and tavernas.

Athens is populated with low life. I encountered thieves (my wallet was stolen on the Metro by a gang of pickpockets.) I was approached by pimps, whores, husters and pathetic losers. I changed my ticket to leave their pathetic country early. Public transport went on strike and I had to take a taxi to the airport - half hour 55 Euro!
