Polis Grand Hotel  

Very polite staff, nice breakfast, very fast wireless connection.

Since I last stayed there, the area has gone down and feels quite a bit more dangerous.

Nice and comfortable Hotel with very kind staff. My main doubt was about the quarter, but I walked at every time and it seemed safe.

Good value, clean and friendly staff. Will return when in Athens. :)

A bit narrow for a triple room, but nothing to complain with such a reasonable price.

The price! 40 euros per night for a double room (w/o breakfast). The location, right in the very city centre, two minutes walk from the Omonoia Square metro station.

The bed was not a double (as requested) but two joined sinlges (with a small gap in between). The bath had visible defects (broken tiles, mild mould). The room carpet was somewhat dirty. The balcony door, when closed, left a small gap through which the noise from the very busy street could be heard. The ventilation made a loud noise. Had to turn it off. Fortunately, there was also an AC unit, which was silent. All the lights in the room were very bright. It would be nice to have a dimmed down light source for the night.

firstly i want to thank to the staff that they were very helpful the scenery of acropolis from balcony is breathtaking the room is quite big

the hotel is ok but the area looks a bit dangerous especially after it gets dark very strange people around... i feel unsecure to walk around even my room was in the fifth floor, it was quite noisy the breskfast was not so good and in the room there was a very clever mosquito and all night we couldnt sleep and had to play hide and seek with it :-)))

Rooms were clean and had all the amenities we needed; staff was courteous and professional; hotel clearly made an effort to keep things classy while also maintaining affordability; breakfast had a great selection; museums, sights, and shops were all within walkable distance.

Nothing really, great value. Bed seemed hard at first, although we ended up sleeping great on it. While walking to the hotel the first night I thought we might have made a mistake given the slightly spooky streets, but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived there.

Central Location The hotel's people ( Specially receptionists ) were so kind, they helped me as much as the could.

it was a bit small ( in compare with what I imagined of the pictures ) and internet was not good.

Legendary service and super location plus a real bargain. I cant recommend it highly enough - you have to stay here!

breakfast was not good - you are better off going out to a cafe which there are many very nearby.

Very bad location. It is quite central, but it is in the worst area of Athens. I felt very insecure walking back to or from the hotel. I took a taxi every time. There is nothing the Hotel can do about it, but I felt very insecure walking around in the neighborhood.

Great top roof restaurant with beautiful view. 200m to Omonia metro station Walking distance to Acropolis
