The seafront room was lovely. The pools were brilliant Bellboys were great Food was fantastic especially on the Greek island theme evening Close to shopping strip
Top pool could've had more pool chairs Wifi was only in the lobby and took 10 mins to log on as only approx 5 people could log on at a time. You had to purchase water - tap water was not served Particular staff were rude to a number of people - especially Gusta. In fact the only two nice and effective people that worked at the restaurant were Irini and Anastasia.
The standard of the hotel was excellent in all departments. The polite and very friendly staff really made our stay a relaxing and enjoyable time. I have not one complaint about the service we received.
Unfortunate the beach was a bit of a let down but I'm not a beach person. The pools made up for that minor fault.
Not customer friendly personnel at some points
Optimal for couples and is realy the best solution for a holiday, but ...
the internet policy of the hotel is very interesting and is charging 12 Euros for 6 hours, and unfortunately the neighboring hotel is making a terrible noise in the evenings.
Location, beach view, gardens, service was excellent. Definitely worth 5 Star Rating.
Food was poor ,not enough selection for vegetarians especially dinner at 35euro PP. Not a 5 Star Rating.
Food was excellent, staff absolutely fantastic and the hotel was great value for money.
Not necessarily he hotel's fault but loud beach parties at nearby resorts got a bit much (especially with them repeating the same music every night!).
Staff were mostly friendly and professional, especially all 3 barmen. Quality and selection of drinks excellent. Comfort and relaxation excellent. Food was good, with large selection. Football pitch very good. Easy access to beach and town centre.
Lack of atmosphere in restaurant - could add music eg Play themed music on Latin American night. Increase number of plug sockets in room. Gym should be free in all inclusive. Mini golf shouldn't be advertised in current state - in disrepair, only 1 ball available and only 3 holes. Selection of food on themed nights small. General manager appeared unfriendly and had an air of arrogance.
Actually, we almost like everythings. The staff were kind and accessible. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was plenty and there was a lot of choice, same for the dinner. The hotel is next to little shops and bars if you want to move or buy a few things. They also give us an access to a room to take a shower because we had a plane later in day, but you have to ask for it and went an hour before because there is some other people waiting for it.
The only negative point we have noticed is that we bought a bottle of wine and wanted to kept it from the next day but they have lost it. So they give us an other bottle that was absolutly not the same and already open. After complaining about it to the manager, they give us a new one of the first wine we ordered so at least, there was no problem anymore.
My wife has a problem with Lactose, the staff help her a lot with this problem. All the staff was lovely with us , We are looking for out next stay in this hotel
The staff were very helpful and generally the hotel was very clean, food is good, drinks are expensive 30 Euros for three G&T's and a water, plenty of local shops and bars, fairly quiet area, had a good holiday so the little issues didnt spoil things
I hate sunbed reserving and unfortunatly it happens a lot at the Port Royal, some are covering the beds at 07.00am and the managers let it happen, if you dig deep and look around its usually possible to get sun beds but why let this happen in the first place, cleaners didnt replace milk for coffee in the room on three occasions, might be nothing but its the little things that count, tap on shower faulty, asked to have it fixed but didnt happen, electric kept tripping in the room and kept switched off the air conditioning. last issue was they charged 12 euros an hour to keep the room if your flight is late evening, we paid 48 euros in total, which leaves a bitter taste when leaving a hotel, A little noise from next doors hotel, but no problem and its usually through the day anyway. After staying at a similar five star hotel in Rhodes last year, in comparison I would say the Port Royal is 4.5 star.
calmness, room, beach, sea, food and service
Staff helped however they could Little pool is lovely very quiet and relaxing
The food could have been more 'meal centric' and less of a hodge podge buffet. Proper double beds instead of twins strapped together would be more appropriate for a 5 star hotel.
We loved the design, sleek yet comfortable. The very friendly, gracious Greek staff.
The beach umbrellas rather small and the sun beds not comfortable. Our first evening, the singers on the bar terrace were excellent, with numbers to dance to .. for the mature .. and pleasant not-too-loud music. That was the only evening of our week except the last evening trio by the pool, same as first. the other five evenings were a total loss for us.
Great place! We loved everything: nice and new rooms, great pools (we loked the small one - was more quiete), nice food (we stayed half board and it was enoug). Well worth the money!!!
Kolymbia is really small and has nothing to offer if you are looking for some "life". You'll need taxis or car (worked o.k for us, since most pf the time we didn't want to leave the hotel :) )
Staff very friendly, hotel is beautiful, clean, quiet, recent facilities. Very nice spa and fitness. Located on the beach. Food was very good and varied. Discrete clientele. Relaxing experience. Would definitly go back there if going to Rhodos again.
Nothing really on the hotel itself. Just a comment about the the neighbor hotel which was playing loud music all day and until the night... this was a bit annoying sometimes...
This is a real 5 star resort right on the beach, with all the facilities that you would expect. Rooms spotlessly clean and maid service daily.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Buffet food was fresh and extensive and we found something to enjoy each day.
We liked everything about the hotel and villas. If i was to be ultra critical Kolimbia itself is small and perhaps a little too quiet but you go there for the peace and quiet and the beach to recover from Rhodes town! :-)
Accommodation - we were in the bungalow with pool which was lovely. Nice friendly helpful staff
Having to wait to be seated for dinner at the buffet. No atmosphere in the a la carte as no one ever went there. Unfortunately our pool in room 901 was constantly in the shade so was far too cold to use.
I paid 953 euro for 4 days half board holiday. If you compare with Turkish all inclusive hotels (just across) this one is very expensive. Beside it is low quality. You can find much much better hotels at Turkish coasts. And Rhodes... Despite it is touristic area services are low. I do not advise neither the hotel nor Rhodes.
The buffet in mornings and evenings is huge, large cariety, however the quality of the food is at beat intermediate. The pool area is huge and the sun beds comfortable
The noise. Left and right of the hotel are clubs, playing music from midday until midnight, our complaint to the hotel was answered with 'can do nothing against' attitude. The staff was most of the times friendly but did not walk the extra mile, so we did not feel like being in a 5 star hotel. The rooms are no bungalows a stated in the description but part of bigger buildings, also the ones 'directly by the beach', which means 50 m away from the beach. The food quality was intermediate, almost never seafood. You have to pay for all drinks on top, even water. Overall we were disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to anyome who expects more than large quantities of food from a 5 star hotel
Rooms not bad. Staff good. Building modern and new.
Everything else. This hotel has been positioned in the most awful area of the island. Cheap, budget tourist area. The beach in front id the hotel is average. The next door hotel plays load music all day and night. The hotel charges for wifi exorbitant rates (when wifi is free all over Greece). The hotel charges for the use of the gym. Men must wear lonf pants to dinner (temp around 35 degree and an island holiday is ridiculous) Times dor meals are crazy *aimed at old people. Dinner starts at 6, 30 and ends at 9, 30..it is still light. Evening Entertainment is worse than average. In general web site pictures very pretty but I would not go back to that hotel for a holiday even if it was free. A horrible 4 days in a real low class tourist trap. The town of Kolimbia has got to be the most awful place I have travelled to. We called it "the hood".... Stay far far away
