Excellent location, on the beach, in a calm bay with beautiful clean water. Extremely good value for money - worth a 4* hotel. Taverna opposite the hotel offers very good food (and fresh fish) at low prices and the staff is very friendly.

Hotel itself is very nice. Recently refurbished (2011), with clean and comfort rooms. All rooms have sea view, and proximity to the bich is just 15m. Higieen is on high level, towells changing every second day and bads every third day. Hotel staff is very helpfull and friendly. Even though we red some negative comments about the breakfast I have to say that it was not true and breakfast is beautifull experience. Variaty of food, with choice for everybody's taste. The best is the fact that sea is close and beach is vera nice with crystal clear water. Disreet and relaxing music is coming from the bar. Also every nice taverna, just across the street. Overall hotel is very wanderfull experience and we strongly recommend it to everybody who wants peace, sand, crystal sea and relaxation.

Nothing interesting in the neighbourhood. Not for those who are looking for some other experiences.

First av all, the location is beautiful !!!! What a charming bay! Perfect for romantic getaway or relaxing with your family. Special thanks to the girl at the reception Garyfillia ( sorry if misspelled your name!) that seem to be enjoying her job and helped us discover a beautiful beach on our way to Vourvourou. The staff was great and we are definately komming back to this hotel. We stayed at three hotels and this was the family's favorite! Keep upp the good work!

The single most fantastic thing about Hotel Porto Koufo is its location. At the very tip (bottom) of Sithonia, it is located in a bay, right at the beach! The beach is a few steps from the hotel garden, no road to cross. This provides incredibly easy access to a wonderful beach, a calm turquoise blue sea and a very serene environment. The hotel is clean, relatively modern, with good furniture and decor throughout. We stayed in an apartment on the ground floor. It is adequate for 2 people, but would work well with 2 kids on the sofa bed as well. They have a small kitchen, fridge, microwave, hob and sink and a table with chairs. The showers (sea water) are great, good pressure. The bed was very comfortable, with a hard mattress (which I like). All apartments have a patio with furniture where one can enjoy the sea view. Breakfast was very good. The selection was very good, even though it was the last week of the season. Breakfast is served outside with view of the sea. The staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel faces the main road but all rooms are to the back (sea view) as far as I can tell. In any case there isn't much traffic in that area at all. The hotel as free wifi in the lobby and garden/beach, but it was also available in our apartment (this may not be the case for all rooms).

I'll mention three things worth noting, however they didn't in any way interfere with our stay and wouldn't prevent me from returning to this hotel! - The apartment had air conditioning, however the unit was in the kitchen/living room, making it hard for the cold air to reach the bedroom. - There are a lot of mosquitoes in this area in the evening, so do come prepared with repellent lotion etc. - The television channels were almost all in Greek. I found one English channel and one German.

The locations was very good but I don't recomment this hotel for guest that need to stay in a single room. The room and the bathroom were clean but very small. It is the farthest point in Halkidiki region, therefore it will take several hours to get there. There is no night life, so if you want one, this hotel is not for you. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby and bar area, but not in rooms. Beach is not cleaned regularly. A lot of small children - shouting, running and disturbing other people all the time. Breakfast was not good. Few dishes and the same every morning. No fruit - only water melon, no juice - only Juice Substitute. Tap water, used in preparing coffees and teas, is hardly drinkable. The hotel is quite noisy as it is only few meters from a relatively busy road, while the isolation of the doors and the windows is rather poor. For a 3-star hotel it is hardly cheap by local standards. Reception staff cheated me. I paid the hotel for 10 days, but checked out of the hotel one day earlier. She did not want to return money. The hotel does not recommend, Meliton Studios next to Porto Koufo offers similar facilities, but at much lower rates and best Service

Very good location. Great panorama. Very nice hotel . Very clean rooms and good services. The brekfast was full of choices and everything was fresh and tasty. The towells were changed every day and the shits every two days. Just across the street there is a very good taverna with delicious food and a wonderful and friendly serving. We really enjoyed our vacation at this hotel and next year we will stay here for sure especialy for the beautyful beach which was a great beach for our small children.

Breakfast was terrible. Zukko instead of juice, tap water was used for coffee/tea (disgusting salty taste), even scrambled eggs and pies were uneatable. No fruit - only water melon, though a lotof fruits sold outside. Triple room did not correspond to the website description - it was small and rubbish. On the second day we were able to move to a family room - it was much better, larger and cleaner, with an extra charge EUR 32/day, though with limited seaview (partially blocked by the next hotel. They did not clean the beach (in the morning we had to clean the talbles under umbrellas and sunbeds at the beach ourselves). A LOT OF SMALL CHILDREN - shouting, running and disturbing other people all the time. Smoking is allowed everywhere - just terrible for non-smokers. Constant noise from the motor road. Meliton Studios next to Porto Koufo offers similar facilities, but at much lower rates.

Perfect location, practically on the beach, in a very beautiful and peaceful bay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel and the rooms are clean and well maintained. Sufficient parking space. On the other side of the road, just in front of the hotel, there is a very nice tavern, offering delicious meals and very good service. Our waiter, named Lefteri, was the most kind and cheerful waiter I have ever met in Greece!

When we made the booking, we opted for a 3-star hotel, paid for a 3-star hotel but in fact this is a certified 2-star hotel and indeed it does not deserve more! That's why we found it overpriced for the quality it offers. The hotel is quite noisy as it is only few meters from a relatively busy road, while the isolation of the doors and the windows is rather poor. The capacity of the tables for breakfast does not match the capacity of the "beds" when the hotel is full, thus many people are forced to wait to have breakfast.

The beach is very nice and water is very warm and clear.

I have booked the room 5 months in advance and have requasted sea view and not ground floor. What I received was a room on the first floor and sea view only from the balacony. And this is a small thing, compared to the noise from the street! If you like counting passing by cars/trucks/buses all night long, this is the best place for you, if not - never stay at this hotel!

This family and children-friendly hotel offers a delightful stay at one of the most impressive sandy beaches on the Sithonia peninsula. The landscape is serene and beautiful. The water is warm, almost always clear and calm. The chairs and nice umbrellas are provided by the hotel free of charge. Rooms are well conditioned and generally comfy, especially the 4-person suites. The staff is efficient and friendly. You will find that the local tavernas represent one of the biggest advantages of the place. They supply a delightful range of fresh fish and seaproducts as well as delicious vitamin-rich salads and wines (try the white ones) at very reasonable prices, making the stay at Porto Koufo a memorable culinary experience.

For a 3-star hotel it is hardly cheap by local standards. Mosquitoes can be somewhat of a nuisance, so come prepared with body sprays (anti- mosquito liquid dispensers are thankfully provided in every room). Breakfasts - which run until 10:30 - are satisfactory at best, don't count on getting up from the table full. Since only a few rooms are equipped with a kettle and kitchen utensils and nearby tavernas do not serve breakfast, this hotel is hardly for late sleepers. Tap water, used in preparing coffees and teas, is hardly drinkable. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby and bar area, but not in rooms. Although we were lucky with the weather, gusts of wind and the resulting waves tend to bring all sort of muck into the harbour, including some large jellyfish, which, despite being harmless by most accounts, generally spoilt the fun of swimming away from the shore for us.

Perfect location directly at the beach. Calm and clean water. Rooms are well furnished, clean and all have sea view. Breakfast is reach enough. We had a very good stay.

We stayed in a double room on the last floor and it was extremely hot the whole day and night. It was impossible to stay without air-condition.

Wonderful location- very friendly and quiet - perfect to relax

Location is great - hotel is really on the beach of Porto Koufo harbor, there are no roads, public places, etc. between hotel and the beach itself. Beach is sandy, there are hotel beach chairs there, but they could be all occupied if there are a lot of guests. Beach has rather big shallow area making it safe for the children. Beach bar serves drinks, you can take them to the beach or stay on the bar terrace. Hotel offers free WiFi, coverage in rooms could vary, but it's good at the lobby, bar & beach. Breakfast is enough, but not delicious. Guests are generally families with kids, so there are no noisy dance parties and drunk fun. Rooms and bathrooms are not large, but they are OK. Each room has balcony or terrace (some rooms on the 1st floor have direct exit to the hotel's backyard, which is adjacent to the beach). We stayed at room 211 which had one of the best locations. Cleaining and room service is OK, nothing specific. Porto Koufo itself, with the selection of taverns is in the walking distance from the hotel. There's also Boukadura tavern just across the road of the hotel, which serves tasty and affordable meals. They also offer a free bottle of wine for each visit of Porto Koufo Hotel guests. In Porto Koufo you can rent a boat, prices are vary from EUR200 per 4hrs, to EUR400 per day. It is also wonderful hiking route (~5km one way) to the southern end of Sithonia peninsula, Cape Drepano. It is a mountain road, so you have to be in good physical condition to reach it, especially during hot days. There are also some interesting places to the south and east - panorama views, breathtaking view to the Mount Athos and coastline, great beach at Kalamitsi, etc.

Laundry service is on request. Breakfast could be more versatile. I prefer larger rooms if I stay for long.
