Poseidon Hotel  

The staff was excellent, very helpful and accomodating. The location was great and close to the port. The hotel was clean and the pool was great. I would definetly recomment this hotel and I would stay there again for sure.

I was a big fan of the swim up bar. The location of the hotel was perfect, you can see the sign on a hill off to your right as soon as you step off the ferry. No wending bus ride up the mountain to start your day off. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially our bartender, and the sunsets from the deck chairs outside your room are magnificent. You will need to rent a scooter while you're on Ios (EE oh S), so look to pay about 15 euro for it each day. Bring an international license, or a US motorcycle license. At the very least be able to show that you can drive a scooter, otherwise you'll get stuck with the 50cc ATVs, and theyre horrible. There are a lot of beautiful places to see on the island, and its too big to easily walk it. As for food, take your scooter up to the main village and there's a GREAT gyro place tucked in a little nook right behind the main church. The staff can direct you to it. The prices are not inflated and the food is excellent. If you follow the pathway around behind and then along the side of the church, you might find a place called The Cake Hole, where they make wicked milkshakes, and modified (with or without alcohol) to your preference. The bakery near the gyro place is nice too. They make a mean chocolate cream donut. :P

Ios was wonderful, but it was more of a college kids bar/club hopping spot than I was looking for. Getting off on our own during the days was great, the beaches and mountains were gorgeous, especially at sunset, but Id have preferred a more relaxed bar setting for the evenings. Santorini is better for that. But everybody has their thing, if you like bar/club hopping, there is a great scene there, and the free/cheap shots they give out are ridiculous in their quantity. Ios is great for a party, but not a late night chill and unwind spot.

El hotel está bien situado, junto al puerto de Ios Chora. Las zonas comunes están muy limpias, bien organizadas y el edificio tiene mucho encanto, es construcción tradicional de las cícladas. La piscina y el servicio de bar están muy bien. El desayuno es correcto. El precio de las habitaciones es muy razonable y la estancia en términos generales es positiva.

La limpieza en las habitaciones debe mejorarse. Son amplias y cómodas y el baño también, algo extraño en las islas pero en nuestro caso teníamos un sistema de ventilación que hacía mucho ruido en el baño ya que no tenía ventana a la calle. Como es una de las pocas que no lo tenía recomiendo pedir una habitación con ventana en el baño para evitar molestias. Por otro lado sería necesario reparar la ventilación en aquellos baños donde esté instalada para comodidad de los huéspedes.

La vista sul posto di Ios e la vicinanza alla spiaggia

Una scalinata lunga e ripida per arrivare alla reception senza ascensore, piuttosto faticosa con bagagli pesanti.

Hotel situato vicino al porto principale di Ios,ma essendo in posizione rialzata é comunque tranquillissimo. è vicino ad una bella spiaggia sabbiosa e al terminal degli autobus e a dieci minuti a piedi dalla città principale. Camera un pò piccola ma dotata di un terrazzo enorme da cui si godeva una splendida vista.

Per arrivarci bisogna salire 80 scalini,e con la valigia non è proprio il massimo!

Poseidon was fantastic! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. We spent our time by the pool relaxing and at the great poolside bar. As poseidon is located at the port to get to the young most popular beach you need todrive or catch the bus. Hotel is close to shops, plenty of restaurants and a supermarket. Well worth a stay!

La première chambre proposée ne disposait pas de pression dans l'eau de la douche et il nous a gentiment été proposé une seconde chambre plus grande pour la suite du séjour. L'hôtel est très bien situé, proche du port mais un peu éloigné de la ville où tout bouge.

La piscine est malheureusement située à l'ombre et peu agréable

Vue sur le port, chambre propre et assez spacieuse, terrasse pour chaque chambre (mais non privatise), piscine avec solarium et bar.

Ventilation très bruyante dans la salle de bains. Les draps ont été taché suite à une blessure aux jambes mais n'ont pas été changé le lendemain malgré les taches apparentes...
