Protessilaos Hotel  

That was my second time visiting Protessilaos Hotel. The extremely helpful staff and specially the multilingual Vassilis (the owner) made our stay more relaxable than ever. In this hotel you just feel you are at home since the first moment you enter the hotel. Very nice moderate size hotel with the most caring and warm people working there I ever met! The people know very well what means “tourism” !! Value for money Hotel!! Breakfast is fantastic and with big variety of delicious home made products. Fruits and olives served from their fields. The rooms very clean and nicely decorated, very anatomic mattresses, good quality of linen and towels. Details in the bathroom have to be fixed. Nea Anchialos is a small town on the sea, only 10 minutes from the airport, with a lovely beach which is visited mostly by greek tourists, so the restaurants in the vicinity offer only real greek food. The risk of ending up with the darned "tourist menu" here is nil. Very easy access to Volos, Pelion mountain, Metaora and Skiathos island. I strongly recommend Protessilaos Hotel and Nea Anchialos as destination while being in the area of Volos.

Bathrooms need to be fixed but as I have been told from the owner they will proceed to renovations this winter

Very nice people and the location is great.

It took some time to find the hotel. Locatie is very good: just cross the street and you're at the beach. The service is very kind and very helpfull. I've really had a very good time here.

Posizione piu che ottima (si attraversa la strada e si è sulla spiaggia)... Mitica l'accoglienza di Vassilis (il tizio alla reception)....simpaticissimo, e sempre pronto ad aiutare gli ospiti!! Tra l'altro parla benissimo l'italiano!!!! Camera abbastanza buona direi....anche se ho soggiornato solo due notti (per approfittare di fare un escursione alle Meteore).Comodissimo per la vicinanza all'aeroporto!

Eigenaar van het hotel is bijzonder aardig en behulpzaam. Kent iedereen in het dorp dus legt je alles precies uit. Hotel is nog geen minuut van het strand. Badhanddoeken krijg je ook van het hotel. Ligstoelen op het strand de hele dag te gebruiken mits je een drankje besteld (1 per dag is genoeg). Ontbijt is prima. Rustig dorpje met een heerlijke boulevard met een paar tavernes en andere restaurantjes. Ideaal voor een paar dagen zon, zee, strand en terrasjes!

Hotel wirkt renovierungsbedürftig und ist durch eine in der Nähe liegende Disco sehr laut

Super Strandlage (nur wenige Schritte über die wenig befahrene Straße), schöner langer, baumbewachsener, gärtnerisch liebevoll gestalteter und sauberer Strand mit Liegen entlang der Strandpromenade, auf der sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Hotel Protessilaos viele Tavernen, Cafés, Imbisslokale, Bars etc. aneinanderreihen. Alle wunderbar geeignet im Freien fast am Strand zu speisen.

De eigenaar was heel vriendelijk, hij bracht ons zelfs naar de bushalte bij ons vetrek. Deze mensen geven je echt het gevoel dat je welkom bent in hun hotel.

De hygiene in de badkamer ( en de kamer ook) liet echt te wensen over. Het is een ouder gebouw maar schimmel en stof terugvinden in een badkamer is echt niet aangenaam

Bagni molto vecchi, box doccia rotto, colazione non buona e bevande calde srvite fredde e nessun cameriere per fare domande.

Ausstattung teilweise heruntergekommen. Renovierungsbedarf. Bad katastrophal. Kein warmes Wasser.
