Great location (the closest hotel to Meteora mountains), good value for money, nice spacious clean rooms decorated with wood, very friendly staff. Excellent view from the balcony. I have arrived late at night and it was rather difficult to find the hotel in the darkness. So the coordinates for GPRS: N:39.71627, E:021.62366

The Pyrgos Adrachti is a great location to soak up the atmosphere of amazing Meteora. The owners speak good English and are a great resource to plan your stay. Try to get a room with a balcony to best enjoy the proximity to the mountains. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well in the room. The tasty breakfast had good variety and can be enjoyed on an outdoor balcony. Approximate drive from Athens is 4.5 hours on good roads.

We had a very pleasant stay with a very hospitable owner and a wonderful view from our room (highly recommend having a balcony, as we did). The hotel is located minutes away from the monasteries by car. Shops and restaurants in Kastraki are just a short walk down the hill. It was easy to locate the hotel because there are numerous signs posted as soon as you go from Kalambaka to Kastraki, directing you to the hotel. We recommend getting around by car, which also helps you get to each monastery. The room was immaculately clean, and was in new condition. We were told that the bed was new and an eco friendly material. Breakfast was wonderful, with items fresh from the local bakery in the morning. They had the best yogurt we've ever tasted, which is also locally made and available to buy in nearby stores. There were also cheese pies, cookies, something like baklava with sweet filling, croissants with hazelnut inside, juice, coffee, boiled eggs, bread, sandwich meat and cheese, toast, and more. Our best breakfast in Greece. The shower is pretty large, and has a place to hang the shower head high. A bar and a lounge with a big flat screen tv is available. The tv in the room was a small flat screen, better than any other hotel offered, as TVs are not a big thing in Greece, it seems. Our host had a map of the monasteries and showed us which ones were open and what times, to schedule our visits. This was one of the best hotels of the 10 places we stayed at in Greece (second only to Santorini). The floor was creaky and sounds can travel through the place a little easily, but this was such a minor inconvenience compared to how much we enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed there for 1 night with our 2 daughters (10 and 13 year old). We were very satisfied by the hotel's cleanliness and the hospitality of its owner Thanasis. This was in late Dec and it was cold and snowy. We found the bedding particularly warm and comfortable, which is not common in mid-range hotels. When we arrived at the town of Kastraki by bus from Athens, there were no taxis available to take us to the hotel and Thanasis promptly drove down with his car to give us a ride. He also helped us with arrangements for visiting the monasteries and dropped us at the taxi stand in downtown Kalampaka - which is a 5 in drive from the hotel. The views from the balcony where quite spectacular. The breakfast, included in the price, was decent. He also let me use the computer in the lobby at no extra cost.

hospitality of the owner. he guided us with his car, when we arrived at night, to take the correct way. gave full explanation and instructions on the surroundings.always willing to help on any subject we show interest. not to mention the great view on Metaora from the rooms, and the excellent breakfast. he deserves any compliment received in booking.com (on which we based our choice) and doesn't lose his common touch, even though so highly praised.

Do believe all of the positive remarks in other reviews. None of it is exaggerated. This was a lovely location up against the rocks, very peaceful and quiet. Everything clean, modern, and tasteful. This was by far the nicest place I stayed in Greece, and also the least expensive. I stayed 3 nights, and wish it had been 5 for more leisurely walks in the area. My room was the corner room on the ground floor with a terrace looking over the garden and rocks. It had a king sized bed with very nice linens, and a big modern bathroom. This room is pictured in the hotel's photo array. The map to the location was pretty useless, but there are small signs at each turn pointing the way. The first time you come in you'll be looking doubtfully at the steep narrow street up to the hotel, but as the owner advised me, put it in first gear, press firmly on the gas, and keep going! I can't recommend this hotel more highly.

Perfect "world class" location! Not to be missed! Easy to find...as it is well marked after entering Kastri village...Very comfortable, large rooms with lots of windows and/or balconies with superb unobstructed panoramic views of Meteora cliffs! Nice, modern bathrooms. Very welcoming, friendly family owned/operated. Very helpful and great info about Meteora monasteries. Delicious breakfast with plenty of variety..loved the honey! Plus, the free internet in the attractive lobby/bar area. Great value! I've been to over 55 countries..this is one of the best locationed small inns ever! Can't wait to go back! Nothing I didn't like! Even if there was something (like a little rain), it would be greatly outweighed by all the wonderful things! "Misty" Meteora is also highly recommended!

Great staff, Thanasis was very friendly, helpful and personable. Rooms are large with modern conveniences and the balcony was at the base of the mountains....amazing views. Breakfast was awesome....some of the best bakeries are in Kalambaka. This place as aold world lodge feel and is very nicey designed and decorated. A bit hard to find and the incline up the narrow street is scary - worth it though!! A bit of a walk to town but there is a nice taverna just down the street.

Omg there are no flaws whatsoever in this amazing hotel... We were late coming from the airport to the hotel so were extremely relieved when we rang and the hotel owner assured us that he would be up and even gave us instructions for when we got to the village. The views are absolutely stunning of the meteroa.. And the bed is extremely comfortable... We were worried our alarm clocks wouldn't wake us. The breakfast is superb, hotel owner/manager was happy to assist with any enquiries and we even extended our stay to one more night.
