Only the location. All the hotel. They should renovate it. Everything is very old ( The furnitures, the bathrooms, the beds) The rooms are extremely small and smell bad.

The hotel is very nice and in good position. The hotel owners where fantastic and helpful in everything, they did their best to make our stay in Egina island comfortable and it was a great time spent on this greek island ! We understand now what the greek hospitability means! Thank you Maria and Ioanes for your great attention and helpfulness!good luck and if we return to Egina we would definetly stay in Rachel hotel again!

Great location and very helpful staff. Hired a scooter for 5 days for 60 euros which allows you to explore the whole island. Will go back for sure.

The owners, John and Maria were fantastic, so helpfull, so kind and seems to be very intressted in there guests.The breakfast buffe was very varioused and good and the beach was very near. Just as good it could be for those money.

Nice people, superb view, stand-up services, good location, near-by beach. Direct route from Athena (the ferryboat station is two minutes away from Rachel Hotel ) The room and the bathroom are small (for 2+1/2 people) but the services are more than excellent. John and Maria seemed to be effortless to make our stay great, eager to help you up whatever your needs were: rent a car, guide us thorough the island, gave us discount at Maria’ shop and at the nearby restaurant (nice view and very friendly waiters, they showed us how they fish and the next day we enjoyed the “result” as a very tasty lunch , for free!)etc We had a very nice holiday at the Maria and John’s hotel, and we plan to come back soon!

Situated near the sandy beach, near seafood restaurants, near mainstreet of Marina. Very friendly and helpful staff/owners. Wifi. Beach view balcony. Room was small. Shower extremely small. Quite old fashion, but with greek atmosphere and clean.

Actually nothing, only the owners. Very small room and the bathroom was awful, not clean and smelly. Breakfast consisted of too many dry stuff in cans that I would not even consider it as breakfast nor were they healthy. To be 100% honest we would not recommend this hotel if you are a family or a couple.

The friendliness of the owners was exceptional! The location of the place is great, having the port, beach, Supermarket and restaurants a few steps away. Concerning the island, Agia Marina is great for a relaxed time and people is friendly. There's all services available and the beach is beautiful.

The owners (sorry I don't remember their names) were so helpful and very nice. The breakfast had a good variety. Right near the beach and port. Air conditioning. Great price and location. Would stay here again. This isn't really I dislike but something to take note of.... The port that is near Rachel Hotel is not the main port on the island. We took an express boat between Agistri to Aegina however that boat didn't stop at that port. We had to arrive into the main port on Aegina and take a taxi to Rachel Hotel. However the ride was not very long maybe 20min or so and cost 17euros. You just might want to pay attention to what boat you take and what ports it goes to.

The Rachel hotel is a family driven hotel. Maria and John are kind, warm and welcoming and try their very best to accomodate their guests requests. The location is excellent. The room and the bathroom are very clean and while modest provide good value for money. Nice shops as well and good prices.

John (Yiannis) and Maria. I felt like being at home. They were accommodating, full of information and such warm people. They were very helpful, which I found comforting as a single female traveller. It is a family run business and they treat their guests like family. A wonderful experience. Oh, and when John tells you about the mattresses - believe it! They are very comfortable!! :-) I've been to Aegina several times over the past few years and Hotel Rachel is somewhere I would definitely stay again....."Save your Euros, use the mats / umbrellas / beach toys that we provide". They go above and beyond the call of customer service. Thank you again.

A great value for money, the hotel is at a fantastic location right by the sandy beach in the quiet yet lively resort of Ayia Marina. The best asset of this hotel are its owners, Yiannis and Maria who will do anything they can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, always with a smile. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

The charming atmosphere offered at the Rachel Hotel allowed one to enjoy themselves to a great degree. The staff were very friendly and pleasant, available at all times to assist if there were any problems. I highly recommend this establishment, as not only are the facilities good but it's location means that within 2 minutes leisurely walk you are strolling upon the golden sands.
