Rainbow Apartments  

Our stay at the rainbow apartments was excellent with a slight minor glitch of a breakdown in the air conditioning. The staff set up fans while we where out and they financially compensated the price of our room for the inconvience without us having to ask. The faciliaties were clean, modern, and very comforatbale and quiet and they provided fun activites nightly that included children and adults of all ages... very impressive I would definatley recommend and I will stay again if I ever retrun to Stalida! ps. did I mention the beach and ton's of resturants and shops were literally across the street !! an excellent place to stay !!

In my view judging by standards in most crete holiday lets and hotels this appartment was large far superior short of a hotel room. Space was large in the superior suite. It had a seperate bedroom with seperate sittingroom with two sofa beds that where large and comfortable. There was also a tv which only had cable television catering for German or Italitain also creten this could do with more english speaking besides bbc world news for visitors. It had a small kitchenate with microwave, all cooking facilities that you would require. Apartments where cleaned every second day plus changing of sheets and towels. The pool area and gardens where well kept with plenty of sunbeds plus floatables for children saving you money buying them also sun creams. Maria and staff where very friendly and welcoming and a great source of help and information about the area. Well done I will be back in the future. Stalis itself in late May very quite with little or none night time entainment in bars. Restaurants are plentyful and we had some great meals but for a great curry the Jasmin was excellant.

The satelite channells on the tv where like any you would get in a hotel. As we had decided to stay in due to a long days trip it was only German, Italian, Cretan stations available. It was BBC world news for us. If this could be changed it would make an ideal spot for families with young children.

Het complex is goed onderhouden en de appartementen zijn netjes. Niet luxueus maar de inrichting is voldoende. Vriendelijk onthaal en men tracht alles te doen om het de klant naar zijn zin te maken. er is een zwembad en een bar aanwezig - deze was op dit moment gesloten daar het seizoen nog maar net begonnen was - dit heeft ons echter niet gestoord want er is een winkeltje naast het complex. .

Voor een restaurant/bar moet je in het voorseizoen wel een eindje wandelen. Op deze plaats is er nog veel gesloten. In het seizoen is er uiteraard veel meer te beleven. De ligging naast de weg naar Chersonnisos is wel een minpuntje. Je hoort steeds het verkeer voorbij komen. Als je anderzijds in het hoogseizoen in het drukkere strandgedeelte zit, heb je waarschijnlijk meer last van de drukte in de avonduren. Het strand is wel vlakbij - je moet enkel de baan oversteken.
