A short walk from the Acropolis, 5-star Royal Olympic Hotel is centrally located by the Temple of Olympion Zeus. The luxurious rooms overlook Zeus’s Temple, or the swimming pool garden.
Score from 2113 reviews Very good
With a great location in the center of Plaka, facing the Acropolis, this 5-star hotel offers personalized service, a beautiful rooftop pool and well-furnished rooms with a buffet breakfast included.
Score from 1076 reviews Excellent
Located in the center of Athens, within walking distance of Monastiraki and Plaka, this design hotel offers luxurious, minimalist rooms, in vivid colors.
Score from 975 reviews Very good
Right next to Monastiraki Metro Station, A for Athens features a rooftop bar with a stunning view of the Acropolis. Nightlife districts of Psirri, Monastiraki and Plaka are a 5 minute walk away.
Score from 944 reviews Excellent
Location was great.
Pillows very uncomfortable.
I had a lovely and clean room with nice interior and nice jets in the bathtub/ shower. The location is in the heart of Athens and I could walk to local attractions or take a cheap taxi. I think the staff consisted of only females who were very nice, polite, and professional. They all spoke English too!
The bathroom had some scum in almost every crack. Internet in the room should always be free. Wifi in the room was advertised as free but there is a fee per hour.
Beautiful hotel, nice & helpful staff (helpful in making any arrangements), very close to the metro station, good value for money, sauna and steam room, unfortunately seasonal outdoor pool only.
Wi-fi in the room 14 euros a day! Air-con didn't seem to work properly and at some points it was very hot in the room, pretty expensive breakfast and mini-bar.
The closeness to the city attractions
The small room, the dirty walls in the room, the crowd around the hotel was sketchy
As well as the building and room the staff were always bright and shiny. Breakfast had lots of variety and freshness in really comfortable setting.
Wifi connection and speed were disappointing to sometimes being absent...
Everything was perfect. Every time i visit Athens its my Hotel!!
I liked the location close to the city, restaurants and shops. The staff is so helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is perfect! I will rebook the same hotel next time!!
Since we went in November I wish the rooms had heaters.
It has a nice rooftop bar and plol with a good fitness centre. It is walking distance from the flea market and Plain. The staff are very friendly.
We found the breakfast on the expensive side so we used local bakeries instead.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great massages! Very close to a variety of restaurants and other attractions.
the suite was big enought, clean, good equiped
the wifi in the common area is very slow
Very comfortable bed clean room staff very helpful
Removed used glasses and cups forgot to replace them twice but quickly replaced when rang reception Didn't have enough coffee tea milk etc
The staff is very friendly and helpful and more importantly, they look happy to be there for you. The location of the hotel is close to a metro station and did not feel unsafe to us at all. Omonia, Syntagma and Monastiraki all within walking distance really if you're on a citytrip. Amazing spacious room with 'spa' bath. I'd come here again in a heartbeat!
If i would really have to say anything,...my pillow, but i'm being picky. We came after the rooftop restaurant/bar and hot tub closed (31st of october) which was a pity as we would have loved to dine up there with the view, the lobby restaurant had lovely food but a bit of an unfortunate location. Enjoyed it nonetheless.
err well we were moved to the Novotel which was a ten minute walk away. Nice enough and had a free cab there
was frustrating as we travelled from tripoli to the airport and got the metro into athens, only to be told that malfunction with booking. And also our friends were staying here aswell
Good location, friendly staff
Poor facilities, the pool and roof garden were closed.
Modern and clean hotel. This is a good hotel to stay at if you plan on using the facilities such as the pool, rooftop bar...etc. As a young couple spending most of our time out exploring, I think it offered a little more than we needed. But I definitely appreciated the cleanliness.
Distance from Plaka area, there are so many other options that are closer
Location was excellent as we wanted to see all the traditional sights
Liked location close to metro. Staff friendliness and willing to please.
Noisy traffic below and room neighbours. Room carpet stained and dusty, hotels should simply do without. Area bit rundown but not dangerous or seedy.
1/ friendly 2/ location 3/ clean
1/ Wifi was a disaster. Slow in the building and not working at all in the room. Even when we asked for a private connection. 2/ on the beds there was a plastic cover under the sheets. Not fun to sleep in... It makes a noice whenever you move...
Good location, easy to get around with taxis and trainee receptionist very helpful
No tea/coffee making facility in room, carpets could have done with a steam clean. Dining room too dark.Reception area too small and not very welcoming. Breakfast was adequate but could have been better eg. no fresh omelettes or fried eggs available.
The hotel was lovely but a few things let it down. The rooms were great apart from the shower. Breakfast was great. A lot of choice. Customer service, wifi was great. The rooftoop pool and bar was great too look at and sit around.
The pool was cold and should be heated. The jacuzzi was cold. Never ever heard of a cold Jacuzzi. Bit silly really. The shower seals were terrible and water leaked every where and the seals need cleaning. The power strength of the shower was very poor. We had two rooms and one was absolutely fine, but the other was not. Even after complainign the person who came to look at the shower said it was ok. Rubbish. The location of the hotel is not in the safest part of Athens.
The sleeping arrangements for my daughter. Would have preferred a room with 1 double and a single bed, not a foldaway bed
Modern clean well serviced. Not too big... More of a boutique feel. Great breakfast buffet. Nice staff. Nice steam room. Pool deck and bar are great. Would definitely go back.
Proximity to Omonia (red light district) may be an issue for some travellers... It was for my wife! But she quickly got over it given the proximity it all the good shopping eg kolonaki, and main sights
The rooftop garden had a wonderful view. The bathroom with jacuzzi was also appreciated.
The traffic noise was atrocious. As the first room we were given was so small, we paid extra for a suite but then found it almost impossible to sleep well from 0430 onwards. Single-glazing did not help!!
the bed and the bath
the price(double in six months)
