Cant think of anything to be honest.
Hotel set back from the road and very quiet. Rooms very large with efficient air con. On main bus route to Hania (ony e1.10 one way).Lovely large and deep pool, spotless, like the whole hotel. Everything worked as it should.Would use this hotel again..
No wall-to-wall carpets in room, access from parking is cumbersome (no lift, long walk)
Room size, view, ambiance, breakfast
Service by Reception very ordinary. Always seem to difficult if we ask for anything. Did not look happy to answer any customers request. Not what we were hoping for our first week in Crete. It was ok but nothing more, nothing less... Some people review that they were received with cocktails and good advice where to visit in Crete. We arrived and given the key and that was it.... Anything we ask seem to be a hassle... Maybe because it was the end of the season? At breakfest a smile from owner Stephanie was hard to get even if we said Kalimera with a big smile.... So, bottom line, ok... Nothing more, nothing less...
Location Nice pool and lovely view of Chania.
The hotel is only bed and breakfast - so if you want a day by the pool, you need to plan your own refreshments. The local supermarket is a life saver here as there are no local bars or restaurants in which to eat.
Great friendly staff. A great little hotel with a good pool that gets the sun all day. Each room has it's own balcony that is on the sunny side of the hotel. Great views of the white mountains.
Location with car is ok but if you want to go to town by public transport in the evening then it is a bit complicated. You don´t get much information about buses from the hotel and there are no graphs in the bus station also. We just went with nr 14 to the town and with 18 we got back. The hotel is located in locals living houses.
Nice hotel with fresh orange juice for breakfast.
Bad soundproofing of the room so it was a bit noisy (dogs barking at night for instance) The room was quite bright at dawn The room was a bit simple (no decoration and lack of quality furniture).
Staff is very helpful, welcoming and kind. Garden is beautiful, swimming pool with nice view on olive trees. Fresh orange juice. The room was quite spacious
The only thing we didn't like was how hard the matress on the bed was both got sore backs nearly a week after coming back
friendliness of staff and how clean the place was kept
- relatively far from centre of town
- peace and quiet - pool - staff - breakfast - on the way to airport
More than a 20min walk. Close to 45min to walk to town central. VERY firm mattress.
helpful staff! WIFI
Geouria is the best host ever. Very friendly service and value for money. Not the Rizts but very clean and comfortable. And close to air port.
Good location on outskirts of Chania, staff very friendly, rooms cleaned every day, swimming pool maintained daily. Breakfast OK but could be enhanced by adding tomato and cucumber.
Bath is a little bit thin, and no shower-curtain.
A very lovely hotel with kind personnel and calm green area near. Great view from rooms and a good swimming pool. One of the best offers for such price. Fresh orange juice for the breakfast.
Nothing was bad
We stayed last year one night Before flying home and we liked it very much. Nice hotel (Simple and Clean) with a nice swimingpool. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. We booked a Three beds room but we are 4 people (Children 7 and 11) and the hotel put in one bed for free. That was nice. The woman in the reception is so helful and nice. The breakfast is good and it has fresh orangejuice! The hotel reminds me of the house from Tati´s My Oncle. You have to have a car to get to Town. It is a perfect Place to do trips from to see the suroundings of Chania.
No complaints, no suggestions. Keep things as they are.
The staff are, without exception, lovely people. The receptionists, chambermaids, in fact all of the people working there, always have a smile and a kind word for their guests. I felt welcome here, and was well looked after. The hotel is located in a quiet suburb and most of the guests are adult Greek people who seem to appreciate peace and quiet. My room was kept clean and tidy, the breakfast ingredients were always fresh and tasty (I now weigh 2 kg more than I did before my visit!), and the local bus to town stops almost outside the hotel. This was my second stay at the Rodon, and I am already planning the next one.
Bed was hard, the noise of the cicada's. Catching the bus into the Old Town & last bus home being 2230 hrs & not knowing.
It was the first time my husband was offered gluten free bread. The book exchange. The pool was excellent, plenty of shade
The Rodon hotel is very nice and it is on good location. It is about half an hour walk from the center. Surrounding is stunning. The Rodon is modernlooking hotel with helpful staff who make you feel like you are at home. Rooms are nice and clean. The pool is in the center of beautiful garden and it is really clean and deep. We must come back. We strongly recommend everyone to visit this hotel.
Wonderful architecture, great welcome, good knowledge and care for us re unusual places we wanted to visit in western crete. Great breakfast, beautiful gardens, unusual architect designed layout with interesting walkways, stupendous architecturally designed pool: Assymetrical shape. beautiful, intriguing, playful and exciting arrangement of depths and an imaginative and extremely useful length pool extension. Easy bus or car ride to central Chania, big late-night supermarket very near.
The beach is a bit far away. Breakfast is a little boring, but acceptable.
Great and clean swimmingpool. The staff is very nice and helpful. We always felt the positive atmosphere at the hotel. The location is perfect, and it's easy to take bus to Chania!
Just a small detail: no hot chocolate for the kids at breakfast.
Room was free before check-in hours. Room needed to be liberated at 12. I had to wait for poeple to come and pick me up and it was no problem to leave my luggage at the reception and to wait near the big pool while the kids were swimming. I forgot an item in my room and they did everything so I could get it back. Really nice staff and excellent value for money.
WiiFi was weak - could not use Airconditioning didn't work or we could'nt figure out how to use
pool location price ambiance balcony
Small bathroom Would have wanted the room to be a bit cleaner, not enough sunbeds by the pool
Great location very close to the old town, friendly and helpful staff, quiet excellent for relaxation and pretty good pool
Breakfast Pool Bathroom
Loved the layout and quirky design. The extra length in the pool was fabulous for a serious early morning swim. Both reception staff we dealt with were exceptionally helpful, going the extra mile, giving us help and tips with good humour.
I enjoyed staying in this hotel, nice staff members, tasty food (breakfast), even location is not perfect, but all nice places you can reach by buses, which stop next hotel. Place is really quiet, so you can rest after long day or night.
