It was a wonderful hotel out of the noise of the city.Excellent location (very close to the airport, about 3km), and near by everything. Outstanding staff!!! The room was large enough, the bed is very comfortable.Pool bar and restaurant are amazing. More important super clean. Overall the hotel is a very strong 4 star facility.

Staff where fantastic, a true asset to the hotel. Rooms good size and nice balcony with great views. Bathroom spacious, good layout. Food was fine, although only did breakfast and lunch. Taxi 5 mins from airport and about 3/4 mins from Perea.

Internet a bit slow, but everything else great

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The hotel staff was over the top! Everyone was so accommodating to our every need and was so friendly. They made our trip like a honeymoon. The hotel was very nice and clean and in a great location. In the start we thought it was in the midle of nowhere but soon we find out that we are in the midle of everything.One tip is that you will need to have or rent a car if you decide to stay more then one day. 5 minutes from Peraia, 10 minutes from airport, malls, parks for children, 20 minutes from the center of the city and 20 minutes more or less from the nearby Chalkidiki beaches. I cannot wait to go back and visit. And last but not least the food at the hotels restaurant was amazing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary drinks on arrival. We booked a triple room for ourselves and our grandaughter and expected it to a little cramped but we were given two adjoining rooms. Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced for a hotel.

No tea or coffee making facilities in room. No bars or restaurants within walking distance.

The staff was really friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was good. Family suite is decent size.

Welcoming, polite and super friendly staff, very helpful, quiet hotel, super dinner and breakfast, large room and bed. Close to Airport, so, for us a great way to spend the night before flying out from Thessaloniki.

Everything it was OK

Nice located hotel in a quiet hillside of thessaloniki.The staff were very freindly.located around 10 mins from the airport.

The distance to the town center is quite far and costs around 22 euros both ways. The good thing is there is a bus service down the hill which costs 1 euro.

The staff was standing. Timos at the reception, Erin and George at the restaurant and bar etc were amazing. We were a group of 3 couples and we all felt that we would home back to Royal hotel.

Just a minor it is variety on breakfast. However l can bear this considering their hospitality.

Stayed twice at Royal Hotel and liked it very much, the staff is very friendly, great location on top f a hill not far from the airport and from the city of Thessaloniki. The food at the restaurant is very good.

Arrived as ancient backpackers & left feeling like spoilt children! Up-graded to a suite & treated with great kindness & understanding by the young restaurant manager/waiter who served us with the best meal we'd had all week. Excellent choice at breakfast, with well above average coffee. An ideal base if flying in or out of Thessaloniki Airport.

The duvets were too hot.

Hotel was luxurious! Staff was very kind and professional. Room, location, food...everything was so wonderful :) Seaview from balcony was gorgeous. Best hotel that I have never been and I am sure that I will stay there again. Five star hotel :) and 10 points to staff :)

lovely hotel offering luxury and comfort at very reasonable price. when i arrived at the hotel i experienced a very friendly attitute and smiling faces. To my surpice i got an upgrade to a sea view room which i enjoyed very much since the view from my room was breathtaking. The room was very spacious and clean. The free room service was something i had never seen at any other hotel of this category. During breakfast the stuff was more than willing to offer more that was already included at the buffet. Great hotel, wonderfull experience. Thessaloniki is a beautiful city to visit, day or night. has a lot to offer . I would certainly come again.

excellent location for overnight before/after flight at Thessaloniki airport.

We liked: the helpful reception and restaurant/bar staff; the large room with a comfortable (firm) bed; the original artwork; the amazing view from the hotel; the landscaping of the hotel grounds; the proximity to the airport; the proximity to Peraia.

The only content of the minibar was two small bottles of water with glasses which we assumed were complimentary as there was no price list. In fact this was not the case, but on a mild protest the cost was immediately cancelled.

Overall, a great hotel with very good value for money for a 4-star hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and spacey enough, the bathrooms are fantastic and both well-equipped and -decorated. The seaside rooms offer a great view towards the coast and overlooking Thessaloniki. The breakfast buffet has a good selection and what they have does generally taste very good. We liked especially the bread. The restaurant offers a variety of good meals for dinner which can be ordered for a fair price. The staff is very helpful, although sometimes slightly overattentive during breakfast. But apart from that, very nice people. And both receptionists we met were exceptionally friendly and eager to help us out with the planning of our trips.

- Location: there is not much to do in walking distance, so you really need a car. The coast is about 2 km away, and Thessaloniki about 17 km, and the hotel is located within a somewhat shabby commercial area with lots of abandoned and run-down houses. - The background music in the food hall and the pool area was good, but too loud and should be more discreet. It is a mixture of Cafe Del Mar and Ibiza Lounge style music. Maybe it was due to the fact that the hotel was almost empty during our stay and therefore only a little amount of people in the common areas. - Wifi reception in our room was poor. Some times no reception at all, even in the "sweet spot" next to the TV, where reception was best. However, in the common hotel areas, reception is fine.

I like all, very friendly staff, helpfull and pleasant

I chose the Royal purely by proximity to the Airport, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy the access to the Airport was. Enjoyed the luxury after 2 weeks of staying on the Island of Thasos. Will certainly book again if I need to stay in Thessaloniki.

Friendly and very professional staff

There is no ramp to access the reception hall, hence it is difficult to enter with a pram and heavy suitcases.

Friendly staff at receiption, got an upgrade from mountain to sea view, comfortable rooms with large balcony, perfect location on the way to Chalkidiki, nice pool bar.
