With a great location in the center of Plaka, facing the Acropolis, this 5-star hotel offers personalized service, a beautiful rooftop pool and well-furnished rooms with a buffet breakfast included.
Score from 1112 reviews Excellent
Centrally located in Syntagma Square in Athens, the Amalia Hotel is right across from the National Gardens. It features comfortable rooms with satellite and pay-per-view TV, and Wi-Fi internet access....
Score from 1989 reviews Excellent
This hotel has a prestigious location in the historic heart of Athens. It has 4-star facilities, excellent views of the Acropolis and Temple of Olympian Zeus, and fine cuisine.

With a prestigious location in Syntagma Square and stunning Acropolis views, this 5-star downtown Athens hotel features a trendy restaurant and spacious guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Score from 903 reviews Very good
Location is great and the hotel lobby is impressive.
Rooms are very small and there is hardly any vegetarian selection in their menu.
Appearance was top notch. Professional serviceman
Restaurant prices were way over priced. The twin beds pushed together made it difficult sleeping with a partner
The hotel location is great, Plaka, Monastakiri and other famous places are all within walking distance. Our room on 5th floor was confortable and quiet. Would stay again at this hotel.
Only negative point is the breakfast. Quality and choices could be better. We actually have taken the breakfast only once at the hotel, the rest of the days we preferred to skip it.
The location and the place.
staff is patient.
wifi is so poor, and the room is not so good as described online.
Very nice hotel. The interior is a little dated but the service was brilliant. The restaurant and bar were outstanding and the view and location was great.
Stunning view from rooftop breakfastroom
Breakfast buffet food luke warm; plates cold
We only stayed one night but the location was excellent , the food was amazing, the staff were very helpful and we were upgraded upon arrival which was a lovely suprise .
The gym is out of the hotel and around the corner - it didn't have the best facilities
I and my brother stayed for one night.it was very central hotel a few minutes to acropoli .bed was really comfortable.breakfast was nice.
there should be kettle and some coffee&tea.every big hotel like this have .
Was very nice. Excellent location. Worth the money
Wifi not very good. Rooftop restaurant is slightly expensive.
Friendly staff, great location, amazing view from breakfast/restaurant/bar
The room was equipped with an old, small cathodic tv, no thea nor coffee available in the room, very old bathroom and furniture. Definitely not at all a 5 stars level room, more 2/3 max.
Awful bed matress. Harder than a rock. Very old . Could not sleep
U can find restaurants shops and sites easily around this hotel! If u choose the better room, u'll get the perfect view of Acropolis. The bed in room is very comfortable, and the shower is good. The toproof restaurant is excellent, both the food and the view!
If u choose the better room, u probably will get the good service. Otherwise u know what's gonna happen to u.
A beautiful hotel at a great location. The quality of the food at the restaurant is suberb. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable.
The staff answered every question, no matter how random, as if they had been prepped for it the day before.
The wifi could have been a little better
wonderful view from roof garden. Lobby is impressive and you think to be in a movie, really really nice.
The room is very small and the bathroom is not of a 4 star hotel. little, unconfotable an old.
Very clean and luxurious Perfect location - Excellent view We were upgraded to an Athenian Panorama room at no extra charge-(Amazing view directly from your bed)! Staff attitude and professionalism Good buffet breakfast
My only complain was that the room had only one free power socket. A bigger TV set would be more appropriate for this room, but for me that was not a big deal.
Last summer (high season) we were in the same hotel and it was not pleasant, but we decided to give a try this time - January 2015 (low season). We have got an upgrade on the room - bigger room with nicer view, it was also nice that the front desk got recognize us (probably from their system) that we already stayed there before. The location is very convenient and the view from the breakfast restaurant (7th floor) to the Acropolis is unbeatable. The maids are extremely nice, though sometimes they would enter the room without knocking.
The front desk - reception staff never smiles, whether it is high season and they have lots of work to do or whether it is a low season or even the nights. For 5* hotel anyone would expect to have a bottle of water complimentary at least on the arrival. The bathroom needs renovation as it does not look clean.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. It was really pleasant. The hotel is comfortable, clean and has fantastic location. I asked for some surprise anniversary extras beforehand and those were professionally dealt with.
The last part of the corridor going to our room (5th floor) was covered with different old carpet and it was dusty a bit.
nearest location to Acropolis Athen
room not comfortable .. Toilet not nice compare to lobby Lobby superb awesome
Location is ok.
Old rooms, not renovated, problems in the bathroom, the shower button was broken. No inside pool. No parking, you must pay 15 EUR per day for it. We discuss with reception late leaving at 13.00 o'clock and the cleaner started opening and closing the door every 15 minutes from 10.30 h! At 12.30 shte almost broke it.
The location, the lobby, bar, restaurant
No tea/coffee making in the rooms. No newspapers at breakfast. Had to get lift down 5 floors and a different lift up another 7 floors to get the restaurant
Close proximity to all attraction.
Front desk staff were less interested in serving us. Had to sort of repeat our requirements. Their answer of any quiries were not amicable rather rude.
