Score from 858 reviews Very good
Location - really close to main walking street, Parthenon and Temple of Jupiter (lucky will get even a view on it) Roof restaurant with AMAZING view on Parthenon & Temple of Jupiter
Small rooms (even though promoted as 'executive') - especially in right wing A waft of '80s - furnitures, facilities and in general, seems to be older than (possibly) is
- The location is superb - Free, good quality Wi-Fi (many hotels in Athens don't provide this) - View to the Zeus' Temple (unless you get the most expensive rooms you won't have this in your room but still from the bar you can have it) - Comfortable beds
- The executive room is like staying at a 3-stars hotel - Executive room doesn't have a decent desk nor even a chair for working - Shampoo and shower gel was not replaced
The location is great the hotel being right next to the Temple of Zeus and the rooftop restaurant has a very nice view of both the Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis.
The furniture in the room was relatively old and the room had an overall "old" feel....not what you normally expect from a 5* hotel though.
Location: close to all important attractions of the city De Luxe room view of the Temple of Zeus Panorama restaurant on the top of the hotel with fantastic view of the Acropolis, the Temple of Zeus and the city. The breakfast was very nice.
We were there in November and the airconditioning was not yet set to heating mode, therefore the room was a little cold.
The relation Quality- Price 3 stars rooms
Perfect room with glass windows on one side of the wall to another and view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus! What else to will ... Location ideal for visiting the Acropolis, very close to metro station, very polite staff, cleanliness and environment truly 5 *****!
Size of the room. Good wifi connection. Nice roof top restaurant and wiew
Spa not working as under reconstruction. Gym outside hotel from the street. Quite noisy from the busy street.
We had an awesome view of the Temple to Zeus from our window every morning and even though we were on the first floor there was no street noise. Location location location. I couldn't have asked for better. All the attractions of Athens were walking distance from the Royal Olympic. The daily breakfast was superb with great quality and impeccable service and the view of the Parthenon was breathtaking.
There was nothing I didn't like about the Royal Olympic
Excellent location! Nice and clean every where! Hotel looks amazing!
Breakfast - staff need to do more attention about cleaning tables from plates! And they should offer a tea or coffee to the tables! And reception - they call me around 20min before check out to remind me don't for get to check out! Small thing, but they should call after check out time if i'm not still done check out.

In Athens Acropolis charming eternity of gods temples, royal sixteen ray Sun and man's best way to conquer knowledge and wisdom in the holy wind whisper of Alexandros'desire for culture koine. Merci beaucoup Royal Olympic Hotel. Alexandra d'Epiro Dusmet de Beaulieu A
Concierge friendly and competent The Library Room Pool area
Front desk staff unprofessional/need training how to treat guests and greet them especially! We were upgraded to an old Superior room instead of Executive pool view that was originally booked. It was noisy , road side and only one curtain drape. Complained and was given the only twin executive pool view available instead of double that was originally booked, told they were booked out from Marathon. No a/c so room was hot, was told it doesn't get turned on Autumn & Winter No irons, told would have to pay for a service No jug for tea/ coffee and don 't supply them Flat pillows Very tired and worn out rooms No pay TV, was told it wasn't working and wouldn't be fixed. Worm in the OJ but when told the manager he didn't remove the juice! We stayed at much better quality hotels for cheaper rates through out our trip. My advise , avoid this hotel there are many others in Athens that will be happy to greet you and obliging!!! This is a 2-3 star rating not a 4 star !
Location reception area
Rooms are a bit small, breakfast for a 4 star and not for 5, but the worst for me was that the staff in the bar and in the restaurant were unfriendly and very unconcerned!
The breakfast is very good(many choices). The view of the dinning hall is wonderful. 3-5 minutes walk to subway and Acropolis.
On our last day we asked the concierge for a TAXI to the airport. Apparently he called one of his "friends" that set us up with a very poor car, and he overcharged us as the taxi driver claimed there is a fix rate to the airport (although the meter was running) and these was a 5 euro surcharge for ordering a taxi by phone. I am sure that the concierge was involved in the "deal" because when we ordered the taxi he jumped calling this taxi from his mobile phone. Hate to feel been " raped"
Pleasant temperature to sit and enjoy the floodlit ruins of the Parthenon and other ancient monuments.
Cost of food on the menu in this restaurant meant we only dined there once.
the location and service. Friendly staff
towels and pillows need to be replaced
It is very well situated next to Temple of Zeus and on the edge of the Monasterakis district with it's windy streets, souvenir shops and restaurants with views of Acropolis. Beautiful hotel too, very comfortable. Would stay here again.
Breakfast was ok, would have like more fresh fruit and stronger coffee!
Good location Great view from the rooftop terrace
Great location with a fantastic view ! Breakfast was a treat up on the rooftop !
Bed was hard and need more pillows !
Location Roof Top Bar and its Staff Doorman
1. Room - dark 2. Room Lobby had no lighting as an oversized wardrobe "hid" the wall light. 3. No room service on one day. 4. Towels taken away but not replaced. 5. Corridor carpet rucked and threadbare 6. Breakfast a disorganised lottery 7. Front Desk staff - sullen 8. No one asked after paying the bill - did you enjoy your stay. 9. Felt like a back of house guest.
Rooftop Restaurant with great views Excellent breakfast buffet Friendliness & helpfulness of staff Ease of getting to Acropolis area & Hop -on-hop-off bustop
Hotel, room and location were all excellent! Staff was very couriuos and helpful. Hotel is within 1 a 2 km of most landmarks. May have been lucky, but the weather was excellent (sunny, slight breeze, 68 F).
Room was a little bit warm and couldn't get it cooled down (visit was in November). Made sleeping uncomfortable, but not impossible.
