A perfectly positioned hotel in the old city. The staff went to great lengths to help us have an early breakfast and lift down to the port.
breakfast and location!
Location was excellent, and staff could not be friendlier, nice breakfast served up on roof terrace with good views across old town, rear garden area lovely place to relax (keep your eyes open for resident tortoises!).... Maria the owner very helpful with late change to my booking (long story!)... Overall excellent experience, to stay in centre of a town with such history and character.... Would stay again.
... Its not that i didnt like it as such, but be aware that due to the age and location of the property, the smaller rooms are very small compared with your average hotel, and bathroom facilities basic (although clean)..... Staying in a place with such character always comes at a cost !
Location in old town
cleanliness (towel, bugs) As services offered, prices too high
well suited for exploration of the old city and Rhodes city only
Beautiful Romeo & Juliet style blacony in our room Staff were so helpful and kind rooftop breakfast is great great views from roof amazing courtyard garden Magical old town setting
wifi was a bit weak in the rooms
staff room location service
Loved Rhodes and the easy access to all the important sites of the island from the St Nikolas. The hotel was in a very good area and looked so attractive from the outside. We stayed in one of the apartments which are away from the hotel, down a very grotty lane. It was very suitable for us as we had rather a lot of luggage. However, it lacked the charm of the original building.
The bed, which was meant to be a double, was 2 beds pushed together. The matresses were very hard and the piping which joined the beds in the middle felt like steel rods. We used the supplied blankets under the bottom sheet to try to soften the mattress - helped a bit, but not much.
LOCATION BRILLIANT, HOTEL FRIENDLY AND CLEAN. BREAKFAST VERY GOOD.
MAYBE A MORE COMFORTABLE BED, BUT CERTAINLY DIDNT SPOIL OUR STAY.
My wife booked this hotel because it was in a historic building and the room had a jacuzzi. It IS in a historic building and some rooms do have jacuzzis. But, as the staff will tell you, they won't give those rooms to Booking.com customers ! We get the rooms without facilities listed on the site and hotel webpage, and not in the actual hotel itself. I had friends in other hotels in Rhodes at the same time I was there, you can far better quality accomodation than this for the price.
Staff and owner, room was very romantic
Breakfast could have been better
Thé hotel is located in heart of the old town.it is decorated with old furniture and very clean hotel, stuff is helpfull.Breakfast is served with mediteren style.
Thé rooms that are found in front of the hotel are noisy.
Very freindly, helpful and welcoming owners beautiful accomodation in the main building, with a lovely courtyard garden tucked away and quiet but yards away from the bustle of the old town
the bathroom was very tiny
Breakfast was very good.
Excellent location in Old Town. Friendly staff. Quiet relaxing place.
Towels/shampoo should be changed every day. Table surfaces should be cleaned better.
Staff and Owner are very helpfull and friendly . Location is perfect , decoration is very nice.Silence and relaxing garden
Breakfast can be more rich.
Central location.nothing too much trouble.character rooms and lovely Greek breakfast served on rooftop restaurant.
There are 2 buildings for this hotel. main bulding is amazing but I coulnt say the same thing about other bulding wich is 30 m distance with main building.
Our journey in the S. Nikolis´ “boutique” Hotel began with the offer of a room in another building with the excuse that the room left within the hotel was small. For this we had to wait more than half an hour because the only person available was busy with other clients. We (already tired after a full day excursion in the island) refused to wait and so we did get Room n. 15. Room, number 15 barely reaches 10 square meters, bathroom included. The bathroom is the best piece: to close the door you have to step on the shower otherwise the door stays open. The WC is twisted because if it were right, you could not open the door and use the tub. It is a truly contortionist exercise! We really don't understand how can the Hotel can ask for almost 120€ a night; we don´t understand how they could call it Boutique hotel (the annexed pictures we took of room n.15 don’t correspond at all with those of the hotel one can see in the website); Room n.15 looked like a cheap room with cheap furniture from the 60s. Moreover, breakfast was really poor and to a request for explanation of the reason why Wi-Fi was not working on the terrace, the answer was that it was the wind´s fault….. We send information about our disappointment to booking.com and to our great surprise the following morning, the management of the Hotel threw us out (!) saying that they had read our letter to booking.com and that we were no longer welcome.... We couldn't have breakfast or get a cab reserved (had to walk with the luggage until outside of the old city to get one by ourselves). Being thrown out, without a reservation for another Hotel or a cab on the eve of a busy week-end in Rhodes, is an absolute first-timer in my long career as a traveler. Luckily, it was the exception that confirmed the rule of the very warm and friendly attitude of the Greeks we experienced in the rest of our trip in Rhodes and the Dodecanese Islands.
Breakfast is very early.it can be taken in the garden where is nice than roof
Great location and an even better staff. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. In Old Town Rhodes, which is a must and close to everything. Wi Fi was the best we had in Greece. Breakfast was really, really, good. Our cab was going to be late they drove us to the Airport. They were also able to recommend great places to eat....one of the best meals ever!
The staff was very friendly so we feel like we are at our home. We stayed at a suite, the room was very authentic and clean. Good air conditioning. Hotel is located at the one of the best streets of old town. Breakfast was good and all staff are very helpful to us about arranging our plans.
Only the Wifi could be better, but i think it's because of the walls.
Great location in the old city. Beautiful old building, very atmospheric. My room had a balcony overlooking the lovely courtyard. There was also a roof terrace with great views towards the harbour.
The bathroom was quite cramped and uncomfortable.
Everything about it was brilliant. From the minute we walked in the door ( we missed the offer of a pickup email) all staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. It was a fabulous place to stay.
Very warm helpful staff.
