The Saga Hotel was perfect for our needs. We wanted to have some island time but not spend too much time travelling from Athens. We read about Poros and liked the idea that it was centrally located to other islands and the Peloponnese. We could walk into town comfortably and catch ferries to other islands or across to the mainland. There was also a beach area & some very good restaurants closer to the hotel. Our children 11 & 13 also enjoyed swimming in the hotel's saltwater pool, and visiting with the hotel animals (dogs, birds, bunnies, various game birds I.E. quail). We kept busy on the island - renting bicycles a couple days, quad bikes another to go up to the monastery & ruins, and to some of the more remote beaches. The owners, Zefi, Takis & their daughters were very hospitable - and made us feel very welcome. They serve local products (eggs, jam, wine, olive oil) from products grown on their premises and at their farm - very cool!

The fact that the hotel was under significant refurbishment, swimming pool not usable etc... should have been mentioned when booking was made. Breakfast of poor quality

The owners, Takis and Zefi, are over the top friendly and helpful. They frequently offered a service before we even thought to ask. The Hotel Saga has a feel of "home" to it and the Island of Poros is refreshingly unspoiled. Breakfasts were tasty, and included fresh fruit and juice from their orchard. Wonderful stay.

Wonderfully friendly hotel in a great location. The family who run this treat everyone as a family member. We stayed here on two separate occasions using Poros as a base for a sailing holiday at the beginning and end of the trip and it was lovely to come back after a week on a boat. During the second stay they were having a family lunch outside and they kept bring us over more food and their wonderful home made wine. I had a better feeling leaving this hotel than many 5 star hotels I have stayed at.

We enjoyed the very friendly atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble and Zefi and Takis were always around to help.We had a problem with air conditioning which was fixed very quicly. We had no complaints everything was as it should be

Pool was great and the poolside bar was nice for our older parents travelling with us. Room seems a bit cramped and old at first glance but worked out well and liked the shower and enclosure. Staff very helpful and breakfast was just fine. As with all greek hotels, beds are too hard and more pillows need to be available as many of us use more than one flat pillow. Could not sleep more than 7 hours or back became stiff.

We liked everything about the hotel saga. The owners were very helpful and kind as were all the staff. It is well run and all questions answered.we had fresh orange juice from their own orange grove most mornings. The owner introduced us to his own home-brew on numerous occasions and boy was it good.When we were leaving they insisted on dropping us to the boat---where would one get it.Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

The hotel owner and staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was big and clean. The terrace on the roof offered an amazing view of the island. The hotel was quiet and not far from the center (10 minutes walking from the Port) but enough far from the noisy atmosphere of the street. The hotel was close by Kanali beach. The fresh orange juice from the own garden of the hotel was just great. Congratulations!
