Saint George Hotel  

The owner welcomed us with a caraffe of wine and a plate of plums. He also drove us back to the port on our day of departure. The room was compact and clean. The location was excellent both for the beach and the town.

The only negative comments I have is that the balcony was really tiny and our view was of the side streets rather than the sea.

The best thing that I like stay at Saint Goerge Hotel is the owner gave me two bottles of wine, one at the first day check-in, and another at the day before check-out even he didn't know any english, but his attitude shown a lot of welcome. We will come back next year.

The bath room should have curtain instead.

The location was nice and very close to both the beach and Naxos town. The value for money was good. Simple room but also cheap.

We ordered a room with sea view but we got a studio with almost no sea view at all.

Its location it is only 10 meters from the beach and is in a quiet location

It is not really a hotel more of a pension the room was basic although kept very clean . there was no safe in room which was not to good when you are carrying cash with you we left passports at reception they were left in a store room I dont know if they were locked in a safe or not

The hotel was charming and right on the beach - literally steps away. The town square and port were in easy walking distance as well. This is a great beach for families with small children as it stays shallow for a good 50-75m out from shore.

There wasn't much we didn't like, other than the set up of the shower was such that the bathroom floor always ended up soaking wet. But at least there was a shower curtain, unlike some other places we stayed during our holiday!

We loved the quaintness of the hotel and location right on the beach. It was what we were looking for when booking, as we wanted to experience the local culture. It was close to town for walking and beach had cute restaurants and bars.

Staff was never around to answer questions and could not check out easily as they did not speak much English and wanted euros only - not a credit card.

Sehr heimeliges kleines Hotel an guter Lage direkt am Meer. Als Willkommen einen Krug lokalen Wein bekommen, schöne Geste.

Vänlig personal. Utmärkt läge vid stranden. Fin utsikt från vissa rum.

1. Dåligt underhåll. Vi bodde I två rum - bytte under tiden. I bägge fallen fungerade toaletterna dåligt (för svagt sug, antagligen skulle rören behöva rensas ur eller bytas). I det andra rummet gick det inte att stänga dörren till toaletten/duschrummet. Det var en skjutdörr, där upphängningen helt gått sönder, så nu satt den fast halvöppen - endast med starka armar kunde den röras lite. Det var inte trevligt. Vi noterade att dörren satt fast på samma vis I rummet bredvid. Saken hade enkelt kunnat fixas, en ny upphängning hade lätt kunna sättas dit. Men det verkar som om ingen bryr sig om underhållet. 2. Svårt att betala. Ägaren vill inte gärna ta kort - ville ha pengarna i handen utan kvitto. Vi gillar inte det; dessutom behövde vi kontanterna för annat den morgonen, då vi skulle resa vidare. Det skapade onödigt trassel.

La situation de l'hotel est parfaite, 10 m de la plage et 20 m des premiers petits commerces. L'architecture est typique et confortable. La jeune fille de l'accueil est tres serviable.l'hotel est charmant.

Les salles de bain sont a revoir. Le mr est tres grognon et n'accepte que l'espèce et pas les cartes bleues. Facile a trouvé mais l'accueil est mal indiqué.

Ho apprezzato moltissimo la posizione dell'hotel, su una delle spiaggie principali dell'isola e in centro, comodissimo per la sera. Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo per chi non pretende moltissimo, ideale per ragazzi giovani, buona pulizia.
