Value for money. Walking distance to the beach,
Far from central location.
Mike is a very goid owner. I was came out as latest passenger of the ferry because i was sleep, and as arrive at 2am, no more people at the port. I called Mike and found out that actually he already came to the port to picked me up before, but he didnt see me. Anyway he rushed to go back to the port to pick me up. Mike tried his best to make all of us happy. What a great service!
- staff was always friendly - nice pool area - good connections to public traffic/ beach
- hygiene! Luckily very rarely had a Hostel like this...but for sure the persons in my dorm are to blame for that as well - Wifi-connection was pretty bad all the time
Close to the beach Public transportation access
Remote location Poor wifi reception in room Crowded small room for 6
I went there for the first time 2 years ago and I come back every time I am in Santorini. It is a great place to stay. You feel like home. You are closed to supermarket, restaurants, beach (where the sunrise is fantastic!), bus station to Fira. There is a big pool. You also meet a lot of people and make new friends. It is a very quiet place. I definitely recommend it and will return and return again !
the stuff there is a Chinese lady, she is so kind and helpful
Near the beach
Despite advertising that they accept credit cards they refused mine when I insisted that I wanted to pay with one. Their response was "the ATM is down the street" and "it's only 30 euros". In my opinion it was a poor attitude to take when you advertise that you accept credit cards. Beside that the location is about 20 minutes by bus to the center.
From the time we arrived until out departure the staff at Santorini breeze we so friendly and accommodating. The staff went above and beyond to help us with transport to different sites and make us feel welcome. When we left the manager (or owner) drove our luggage to the bus stop so that we didn't have walk there with them, which was lovely.
The location for me was really great. I wanted to just relax and go to the beach, and was able to do just that. The black sand beach is less than a 5 minute walk away. There is also a market and Santa Irini bakery also less than a 5 min walk away. Very convenient and the bakery is absolutely delicious and open 24/7. The owners of the hotel were great. Very helpful. They were able to get me a transfer to the port when I was running late. The rooms are cleaned/mopped everyday. And I met some fun people while there to just sit and talk and have a few drinks with. Great stay!
Nice place to stay pool was good and so were the facilities.
Quite far from thira you had to get a bus which took a while. Bed was a but uncomfortable and air conditioner leaked all the time.
I spent three days there and it was a great experience. it's calm, with a mix of families groups of young people and solo travelers. The owners are always there and very helpful. They have private rooms and shared dorms. Air conditioning and showers work perfectly. There's a nice swimming pool to chill out. Very well situated in Perissa. 5 min walk to the beach or the main road with 24h bakery, a supermarket, atm and car and motos rentals. I highly suggest you to rent a car or a quad/moto. It is fairly cheap and very nice to move around.
Staff super friendly and helpful - Mike picked me up all the way from the airport. 5-min walk to the black beach, 3 min walk to the bus station.
shower and sink water so salty - hard to shower. narrow room
Marcos is an excellent host. Love the laid back attitude. Nothing seems to be a problem. Great communication with Yan from the time of booking. Great personal attention. The photo of where to go to get taxi at the port was a great help. We were delighted to get transferred to the split level room with a double bed, despite it not being available at the time of booking. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags in room while it was being cleaned. And the room room was cleaned each day and linen refreshed! Amazing at this price. Perfect place to wash and sleep and feel welcomed to the island. Great location. We hired a buggy and an ATV, but could easily have got by without. The beach and tavernas very accessible on foot. Taxi to and from port prompt and not unreasonable @ 20 euros for four of us. Loved every minute of our three days/two nights at Perissa.
Leaving. Next time we'll stay longer.
Great location - 5 mins walk to Black Beach in Perissa, restaurants & bars, close walk to a 24hr bakery, supermarket and frequent enough buses to Fira and Oia. The owners are lovely, the pool and lounge areas are good too.
The dorm room for what I paid (€30/night - granted i booked on the day so prices may have jumped because of that) was not value for money. If you can score a cheap room, it's definitely worth staying here.
the host, michaelis, is a really cool guy! I appreciate the conversations with him. In the garden is a pavillion where everyone who stayed there get together. so you get to know cool ppl from all over the world. especially backpackers, hippies and dreamer. is worth to stay.
I had a dark room in the basement. there was just a dark wall in front of the only window. missing toilettebrush. wireless isnt working well
Close to the black sand beach, supermarket, bakery and bus stop. Quiet location with nice pool.
The owner was very friendly. They cleaned the room everyday and the room was big and nice
Sometimes the dirty dishes were out to the clean, but that's too small to mention in comparison to the fun to stay in such a nice place ))
Mike is a great host! He'll go that extra mile to help you with car rental, tour information and making sure you have a comfortable stay. At the same time he's laid back and will chat with you, beer optional. We reminisced about the Greek food and the large Greek community in Toronto, Canada. I stayed in the dorm room which is spacious, with its own kitchen, washroom and balcony with clothes line. I liked that thers 4 single beds and 1 bunk bed. The free linen is great. The bus stop, local grocery store, bank machine and Santorini's best bakery which is open 24 hrs is just a short walk away. In the opposite direction is the black pebble beach and all the beach side restaurants. If you don't want to head out, the pool and lounge chairs are right here. There's a book exchange corner if you've finished with your book.
During the low season, there's no bus to the port. So I had to pay 5€ for shuttle to and from the ferry port. Yes I felt awkward making breakfast in the morning while others were asleep but it was convenient and helped me save money. The spacious washroom will get wet after your shower as there's no curtain but leave the window open and the floor will dry. The WiFi signal in room #7 is a bit weak but it's better to sit in the common area and socialize.
Very nice owner, Mike Beautiful traditional house, nice porch & garden. Room is clean, open to garden. You can dry your clothes outside. A nice cat named Charlie Chaplin.
Location is a bit far from center of Santorini. It wouldn't be a problem if you're main interest is the Povidolos beach. Bus station, supermarket and a nice bakery are also nearby, about 7' walk.
Everything good. Staff was very nice, wifi is perfect, room is comfortable.
The host Marco was very nice and funny, he knows very well about santorini, you can ask and talk everything with him, the room wasn't very clean but not dirty, it was fair, the room is big, i stayed at 4 beds room, position is near perrisa beach and mean street（ supermarket and bus stop very near), and with swimming pool( I like it)
The stuff should clean more carefully, sometimes I can see the spider web..
Mike and his wife were really nice and helpful, such a great experience i had
I was running late and the owner gave me money for the bus so I wouldn't have to find an ATM my first night. Right down the road from the famous black sand beaches, and the owner is truly excellent - very friendly and always around to help, and the bakery at the end of the street is incredible! Clean, decent bed, great value for the money.
I really couldn't have asked for more... A little hard to find because Santorini doesn't believe in addresses, but you figure it out quickly. Awesome stay.
Mike was awesome! He picked me up from the airport (I paid him extra even though he didn't request it), he told me all about Santorini wine, and we had several great talks over the course of two days. Mike has a high social iq, treats people well, and the place is in a great location close by the black sand beach. Great value.
The guy at the lobby (Mike) just treats you as if you were his family! I felt at home at this hostel, is the best!
