Scala Hotel-Apartments  

My son and I had a short holiday in Greece. We reserved this hotel/apartment for several reasons. Overall it did not meet our expectations. The internet (WiFi) never worked, the apartment was not stocked with some important items, it had a musty smell to it. If you don't rent a car, it is difficult to get around anywhere (it's in a very remote area). You need a Taxi that would cost a lot of money and overall will cancel out the reasonable price of this hotel.

Excellent seaside view. Walk to waterfront, down about 40 steps. Waterfront had some reasonably priced food for dining with excellent views. Accommodated our 3 children with 3 separate beds, each adequate. Staff was proactive in inquiring about taxi strike.

AC did not work very well. AC disengaged every time we accessed patio as well. Facility a bit dated. Kitchen could be better equipped. Pillows could be more comfortable. Dust under beds. Pool small (as pictured)--luckily nearby seaside has a very nice beach for swimming.

Clean pool was better than the beach. Rooms were spacious and clean.

The double bed was two singles pushed together with a gap in the middle that could not be closed, as it was the 2 bed frames in the way. The beach is not so great because the sea is pretty rough and the waves go all the way to the sidewalk at times.

Scala Hotel proved to be a perfect place to spend Easter 2011 in Crete. The aparatement was spacious, well equiped, clean and comfortable. The strategic location in Agia Pelagia was an asset as the place was calm enough but still only 20 minutes drive from Heraclion. The nearby restaurents were mostly open and served good (albeit nothing too shiny)food. Best of all - the service by Krystal (hopefully the spelling is correct) at the front desk was examplary. And, we got special treats for Easter! Painted egges, chocolates and a good bottle of wine!

For the price paid there is virtualy nothing negative I could say.

Udsigten til vandet fra balkonen fik man kun, når man stod op. Larm fra airconditionanlæg lige udenfor værelset til sent om aftenen.

Perfekt gelegenes Apartmenthotel in Strandnähe in Agia Pelagia. Sehr schöne und neue Räumlichkeiten. Sehr sauber gehalten. Auf Anfrage auch reichliches Frühstück auf Terrasse. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.

Chambre spacieuse bien équipée.

Une demie heure d'attente pour le check-out. Personnel absent !

μας βόλεψε αφάνταστα η πισίνα του ξενοδοχείου παρά το μέγεθος (πολύ μικρή), γιατι την εποχή που διαλέξαμε να πάμε διακοπές, η παραλία της αγίας πελαγίας δεν ... 'παίζεται'! πολύ βολική όμως η πρόσβαση με τα πόδια στην παραλία για πρωινό και φαγητό.

η ασύρματη σύνδεση με το ίντερνετ υπήρξε πολύ προβληματική. η καθαριότητα του δωματίου όταν το παραλάβαμε δεν ήταν εξαιρετική (σκόνη/αμμος στα έπιπλα και στη ντουλάπα), το ντουζ ελαττωματικό, το βουρτσάκι της τουαλέτας σπασμένο και βρώμικο. λεπτομέρεια: έλλειψη συρταριών στα έπιπλα και σαπουνιού/σφουγγαριού στην κουζίνα.

vicinissimo alla spiaggia (attrezzata e non) raggiungibile tramite una scalinata, tranquillo, wifi in camera, disponibilità delle sig.ra Chrystal, possibilità di visitare le città limitrofe con mezzi propri, vicinanza a negozietti ristoranti e supermarket. it's really close to the beach that is free but has also umbrellas, you can go there on foot throught stairs, quiet and relaxing, wifi in the room, kindness of mrs Chrystal, you can visit archeological sites with your own transport, close to small shops restaurants and supermarkets.

impossibilità di utilizzare i mezzi pubblici, che circolano solo in due o tre corse nella giornata, zanzare la sera. it's really hard to use public transport couse there are only few buses a day (like 2 or 3), there are biting mosquitos at night
